ISLAMABAD HIGH COURT DESIGN COMPETITION

According to PCAPT press release, Architect Tariq Hasan wins architectural design competition for Islamabad High Court.
The Islamabad High Court through Pakistan Public Works Department, Ministry of Works, Government of Pakistan commissioned
Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners to organize and conduct a single stage nationwide limited Architectural
Competition for the design of Islamabad High Court Building at G-5, Islamabad. PCATP registered Architects or their firms were
invited to participate in the competition through advertisement in the newspaper. The pre-qualification and competition process
were regulated by the Jury of assessors i.e. representatives of Islamabad High Court and PCATP appointed Jury. Following is
the list of the Jury members.

PCATP received 26 applications from architects/ firms and 19 were shortlisted by the Jury to take part in the design competition.
Out of 19 contestants 14 architects submitted their designs.
The Jury announced and awarded the top three designs i.e.
First Prize of Rs. 300.000 to Ar. Tariq Hasan (The Architects)
Second Prize of Rs. 200.000 to Ar. Iftikhar M. Azam (H3 Architects)
Third Prize of Rs. 100.000 to Ar. Jahangir K. Sherpao (Cite).
