Board Room

The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Ranell Drake,
Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.

It was moved by Stock and seconded by Hecht to amend the agenda to consider transfers to Secondary
Roads. Ayes all, motion carried.

It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Stock to approve the agenda as amended. Ayes all, motion
carried.

As prescribed by law, the Board took up the canvass of the June 3, 2014, Primary Election and offer the
following results: Democratic Ballot for U.S. Senator, Bruce Braley 88; U.S. Representative District 4,
Jim Mowrer 79; Governor, Jack Hatch 82; Secretary of State, Brad Anderson 84; Auditor of State,
Jonathan Neiderbach 84; Treasurer of State, Michael L. Fitzgerald 87; Secretary of Agriculture,
Sherrie Taha 76; Attorney General, Tom Miller 87; State Representative District 011, no candidate;
County Supervisor District 2, no candidate; County Supervisor District 3, no candidate; County Treasurer,
no candidate; County Recorder, no candidate; County Attorney, no candidate; Republican Ballot for U.S.
Senator, Sam Clovis 214, Joni Ernst 428*, Mark Jacobs 202, Scott Schaben 26, Matt Whitaker
55; U.S. Representative district 4, Steve King 836; Governor, Terry E. Branstad 738*, Tom Hoefling

The Boards of Supervisors from Sac and Calhoun Counties met via telephone conference call as trustees
for Joint Drainage District 2 & 51. All members of both boards were present. It was moved by Hecht
and seconded by Hoag that Ranell Drake serve as chairman and Jim Dowling serve as secretary for this
meeting. Ayes all, motion carried.

Brian Blomme with I&S Group presented the Commissioners Report on Reclassification on Joint
Drainage District 2 & 51 to the joint boards with explanations of the benefits.

It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Hoag to tentatively accept the Commissioners Report with the
attached assessment schedules and set a public hearing for Tuesday, July 22, 2014, in the conference
room of the Sac County Law Enforcement Center at 1:30 PM. Ayes all, motion carried.

With there being no further business to come before the Joint Board, the meeting was adjourned.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Hecht to approve the transfers of $316,033.00 from
Rural Basic Fund to Secondary Road Fund and $27,893.25 from General Basic Fund to Secondary Road
Fund. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Stock and seconded by Hecht to approve a proposed tile repair in Drainage
District 67 located in Section 26, Eden Township in the amount of $300.00. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Stock to approve a proposed tile repair in Joint
Drainage District 64 & 105 located in Section 1, Delaware Township in the amount of $5,100.00. Ayes
all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of
current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Stock to approve a Policy for Traffic Signage Repair and
Replacement for Secondary Road signs. Ayes all, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
