Type GB bearing band is suitable for most light duty

hydraulic and pneumatic applications. Because it is
based on ptfe it exhibits low friction and can
therefore be used to advantage in applications where
low breakaway friction is required.

is normally dictated by the surface finish specified for
the rod and piston seal.

For piston bearing bands L1 = [D+S]-0.5*3.11
For piston rod bearing bands L1 = [d+S]*3.11-0.5

Bearing Band

Bearing band, type GB, can be delivered in metre
length form for fitting on-site. Part numbers and
fitting is given overleaf.

Cutting Guide
Bearing band, type GB, can be cut on site by the end
user, if necessary. The ring is normally cut with butt
joint, although a scarfe joint is sometimes preffered.
it should be remembered, however, that a gap must
be left between the ends of the joint to allow for
expansion. The chart overleaf gives details of this
gap.
