CA BOARD MEMBER CODE OF CONDUCT & CONFIDENTIALITY UNDERTAKING
In accordance with the Constituency Association Bylaws (CA Bylaws) of the
Wildrose Alliance Political Association (the Party), and to ensure each and
every member of a Constituency Association Board (CA Board) meets the
highest standards and ideals of operation, the following Code of Conduct must be
executed by each CA Board member and returned to their CA President within
seven (7) days of first being elected to the CA Board.
By signing below, I agree to abide by the following code of conduct and to keep all
confidential matters pertaining to the CA and the Party confidential.
As a member of the CA Board, I confirm and agree as follows:
1. I have been provided with a copy of the Party Constitution and the CA
Bylaws currently in force and I have, or will, read those thoroughly to ensure
I understand and abide by those documents in the governance of the Party
and the CA;
2. Should the Party Constitution or CA Bylaws be amended during my term of
office, I will promptly review and ensure I understand them and will strive to
operate in compliance with the revised Party Constitution and CA Bylaws;
3. I understand that membership information and in particular contact and
financial information for Members, is confidential and may only be used for
Party & CA purposes and only with the express authorization of the CA
Board and/or the Party;
4. I confirm I will keep all membership information confidential and will not
use it except for the purposes of the Party and/or CA, only when authorized
by the Party or CA Board, and only in the manner authorized by the Party
and/or CA Board;
5. I understand that all donor information is confidential and shall not be used
or disclosed except for the purposes of the Party and the CA and that it
should only be used and/or disclosed in accordance with methods
authorized by the Party and/or required by Elections Alberta;

6. I agree not to use or disclose any donor information except for the purposes
of the CA and the Party and only to do so in a manner authorized by the CA
Board, Party and/or Elections Alberta;
7. I agree to keep strategic and political discussions that take place at CA and
Party meetings and events confidential and not to disclose the content of
those discussions, except for the purpose of pursuing the objectives that are
the subject of the discussions, during or after my term as a member of the CA
Board;
8. I agree to return all membership, financial, fundraising and other
confidential information of the CA to the CA within ten (10) days of my term
as a CA Board member ending;
9. I agree not to retain any physical or electronic copies of any membership,
financial and/or other confidential CA information following my terms as a
CA Board member;
10. I confirm that I will conduct myself in a professional manner at CA and Party
meetings/events and whenever I am representing, or could reasonably be
seen to be representing, the Party and/or the CA in public;
11. I agree that I will put the CA and Partys interests ahead of my own interests
when conducting the business of the CA and fulfilling my duties as a CA
Board member; and
12. I agree that if at any time I am unsure about whether an action will be in
compliance with this Code of Conduct, I will consult with the CA Board and
seek direction before acting.
I hereby confirm that I have read and I understand this Code of Conduct and
Confidentiality Undertaking and agree to abide by it.
