General OLA ROADM Strate gy 1. Prepare design + documents (ODF connection) required for the node c onversion
2. Physical installation must be ready before node conversion; include upl oad to NMS and preconfigure signal flow configured as per design and optical x connect pre configured.
3. Health precheck on NE before node conversion (1 day before node c onversion)
4. Required 2 team ready on the day for node conversion: Team A in Suwon for fiber cut o ver, troubleshooting / roll back plan Team B in NOC remote commissioning, troubleshooting / roll back plan
5. Health precheck on NE before node conversion (on the day of node
c
onversion) r cut o ver, commissioning optical power and health postcheck n NE plan triggered if fail to bring up services or abnormal scenari occurred

SOW Node Conversion Step 1 : OSN 6800 hardware installation and physical fiber connection Preparation of OSN6800 OLA ROADM hardware installation in Suwon Connect all physical connection (prelay fiber as per design plan and DCN connection)
BukCheonan_ 1 Nonhy
Prepare other subrack in Suwon Suwon (OLA )
as ROADM accordingly to t he design plan and location d uring site survey

SOW Node Conversion Step 2 : Upload OSN 6800 (ROADM) to NMS (U2000) and preconfiguration Basic commissioning and preconfigure accordingly to design Utilize new NE I D for new Suwon ROADM New Suwon (ROADM) node
upload to NMS (U2000) and basic commissioning according to design
Preconfigure logical fiber connection (signal flow diagram) according design
Page 6
SOW Node Conversion Step 2 : Upload OSN 6800 (ROADM) to NMS (U2000) and preconfiguration Please take note to preconfigure optical crossconnect (single station optical crossconnection) from FIU to FIU for existing lambda t hat pass through the link
Preconfigure the optic al crossconnect from FIU t o FIU for all existing lambda

SOW Node Conversion Step 3 : NE health precheck (1day before node conversion) Check JungBul ring all NE current alarm and history alarm and rectify if there is alarm reported.
Check on the current alar m of the NE. Rectify any alarm and inform Huawei if occurred
abnormal alarm
Check on the history alarm of the NE. Inform Huawei if notice any alarm that reoccurring frequently the day before node
insertion

SOW Node Conversion Step 3 : NE health precheck (1day before node conversion) Check related WDM trail that passthrough the NonhyunSuwon (OLA) BukCheonan_1 link
Check related WDM trail. Rectify any alarm and inform Huawei if occurred abnormal alarm
Page 9
SOW Node Conversion Step 3 : NE health precheck (1day before node conversion) Verify JungBul ring all NE amplifier input/output power is normal and commissioned accordingly to design
Verify NE amplifer optical power in Optical Power Manangement section. Ensure that it is commissioned accordingly to design
Page 10
SOW Node Conversion Step 3 : NE health precheck (1day before node conversion) Verify JungBul ring all NE OSNR is normal and within acceptable range
Verify NE OSNR using MCA4 and ensure it is within acceptable range
Page 11
SOW Node Conversion Step 3 : Health precheck (1day before node conversion) Any abnormality the equipment that currently passthrough JungBul ring for add/drop services ? Required customer feedback. Reason for this check : Avoid unwanted customer dissatisfaction hinting problem in our node conversion procedure
Page 12
SOW Node Conversion Step 4 : NE health precheck (on the day execute node conversion) and backup Please do a quick precheck accordingly to Step 3. Record JungBul ring all NE amplifier input/output power value. (For Health postcheck usage) Record JungBul ring all NE OSNR value. (For Health postcheck usage) Backup NE database in NMS (U2000) before fibercut
Page 13
SOW Node Conversion Step 5 : Prepare live network services to use selective route According to live network services trail, go to each node in JungBul ring and enter into the Port Protection interface, select Force to working channel or Force to protection channel to lockdown the working route of all services to avoid route that passthrough Suwon (OLA)
Always remember to select Query to refresh the switching status before proceed to select the forced route.

SOW Node Conversion Step 6 : Deletion of WDM trails Select delete from network layer for OMS, OCS, OCH & Client trail which pass through NonhyunSuwon (OLA) BukCheonan_1 link
Select delete from netwo rk layer for OMS, OCS, OCH & Client trail.

SOW Node Conversion Step 7 : Create logical fiber connection in NMS Delete existing logical fiber connection between NonhyunSuwon (OLA) BukCheonan_1 link Establish new logical fiber connection between NonhyunSuwon (OLA) BukCheonan_1 link
Delete old logical fiber connection and connect new logical fiber connection

SOW Node Conversion Step 8 : Fiber cutover Inform customer NOC on services disruption and node conversion execution during preplanned downtime window Disconnect existing NonhyunSuwon (OLA) fiber and reconnect existing fiber to Suwon (ROADM) Disconnect existing BukCheonan_1Suwon (OLA) fiber and reconnect existing fiber to Suwon (ROADM)
Suwon (OLA)
BukCheonan_1 Team A in Suwon will discon nect the existing fiber and reco nnect Nonhyun

SOW Node Conversion Step 9 : Commission the optical power for the new Suwon (ROADM) Please start commission in 1 direction follow by another direction Ensure the amplifier is optical power output according to design (Design Output = Design Input *OA Type) OBU103 = 23, OAU101 = 20
BukCheona n_1 Nonhy Suwon (ROAD M)
Team B in NOC will perform remote commission of optical power output
Page 18
SOW Node Conversion Step 10 : Update the WDM trail Search for updated WDM trail and verify new WDM trail in Manage WDM trail interface; ensure alarm status is normal Create WDM trail; manually change the name of the trail if the automatically selected is not accordingly to customer standard
Search for updated WDM t rail and verify the new WDM tr ail status. Rectify any alarm and inform Huawei if occurred
abnormal alarm
Page 19
SOW Node Conversion Step 11 : NE health postcheck (after finish commission optical power) Please go through Step 3 for postcheck Rectify any alarm and inform Huawei if occured any abnormal alarm Please take note to ensure all NE amplifer input/output optical power is normal and OSNR is within acceptable range Release the force route by select Clear option in the Port Protection interface for all involved node
Once Step 11 is finish; NODE CONVERSION SUCCESSFUL !
