Independent research firm RootMetrics awards top spot to AT&T in
recent airport wireless network performance report

BOSTON, MASS., JUNE 20, 2014 Before the plane lifts off at Logan International Airport, AT&T* wireless
customers enjoy a network ranked highest for data performance by an independent mobile analytics firm.
Seattle-based RootMetrics today released a wireless data network performance study for Logan
International Airport. AT&T was ranked #1 at Logan International Airport as the RootMetrics Airport
RootScore Award winner for its data performance. **
This study is the second consecutive RootMetrics Airport RootScore study for Logan International Airport in
which AT&T ranked highest. Also, in September 2013, RootMetrics released a wireless network
performance study for Boston which named AT&T #1 as the overall RootMetrics RootScore Award winner
for its combination of call, text and data Internet performance for the entire Boston market area. ***

England. They want to get in touch with colleagues, family, and friends before they leave or as soon as they

To provide a better customer experience, AT&T has deployed significant network enhancements like 4G LTE
coverage and a Distributed Antenna System at Logan International Airport. A DAS consists of multiple
strategically-placed antennas that distribute AT&Ts wireless network coverage in Logan International
Airport, providing enhanced, more consistent wireless coverage to customers

AT&T ranked first at Logan International Airport for data network performance, according to our research
conducted during the first half of 2014. We tested data performance across all networks in publicly accessible
areas within Logan International Airport, including common areas such as check-in, baggage claim, and
terminals. AT&T ranked first in the Airport RootScore Award for data network performance at Logan
International Airport, said Bill Moore, RootMetrics President and CEO.
