THE CLASS OF
WE would like to
Pay tribute to
the
Lubavitcher Rebbe
Whose legacy is an inspiration to
everyone here at YNS and around
the world...
This yearbook is
dedicated to
Meir Cohen
For his constant devotion towards
all of the students here at YNS
Rabbi ORimland
To my dear graduates

The years you spent at YNS
have flown by so fast. Yet when I
look back at where you were when
you first came and where you are
today, I am amazed at your great
accomplishments. You over came
many obstacles, and at times, beat
all odds in academics, menschlich-
keit and maturity.
May you bring much nachas to the
Rebbe, your parents and most im-
portantly yourselves.

Rabbi O
Rosh HaYeshiva
When working as one of the vice principals at the
Hebrew Academy a few years ago, I had a chance to ob-
serve the smaller, confused boys you were as you entered
YNS, listening fearfully to Coachs rules on teamwork,
listening nervously to Rabbis and Moishes lessons on
life and Judaic studies, all the while trying to keep up
with the older bochrum. You just began to crawl through
these halls and enter upon your high school journey
through Yeshiva. The four of you, even then, exhibited an
obvious potential to excel. And excel you did! You have
marched your way through challenging courses, difficult
assignments and life changing skill events. Your intelli-
gence, drive, and fortitude to achieve is reflective in eve-
rything you accomplished this and in previous years.
Now is the time to run with what you have learned and
take it to another level. You have the knowledge, skills
and abilities that will allow you to achieve heights if you
take that next step. I know that when you take hold of
what you want to do, no matter what the obstacles may
be, you have developed the strength to push ahead and
fly with the self-confidence needed to succeed. It has
been my sincere pleasure getting to know each one of
you as the individuals you are. I am so very proud of
you. Mazel Tov on this very special milestone called
graduation.
Mrs. Magill
Secular Principal
MRS. MAGILL
Dear students and Graduates,
It is a seemingly impossible task: how can I possibly fit a years
worth of lessons, memories, and jokes into a few hundred words? Addi-
tionally, what words of wisdom can I impart on the graduates entering the
world? As I stare at a blank screen, a simple quote keeps entering my
mind. Mark Twain said that he never let schools get in the way of his edu-
cation. Education is not limited to text books, lectures, and homework. Ed-
ucations exists everywhere. In each new opportunity you face, you will
gain knowledge from it. There is one caveat to this, however. You must be
open-minded and willing to knowledge enter your minds. Whether inside
or outside, the classroom, always see the value of everything around you.
Be willing to learn from every experience and every person. Be willing to
embrace that which is unfamiliar. Be willing to learn from your mistakes.
Do not think for a moment that the end of your schooling means the end of
your education. Always strive for more.
Hillel asks, Who is wise, and the response is, one who learns
from all people. Although my role as a teacher is to educate you, my stu-
dents, it is also your role as students to educate me, your teacher. As much
as you learned from me, I learned from you. You taught me the value of in-
novation and creativity, you taught me the importance of patience, you
taught me the significance of dedication and commitment, and the power
of positivity. In turn, I hope I taught you to persevere, to find your inner
strength, to be sure of your convictions, to be serious when necessary, to
laugh often, to be disciplined, and to believe in the power and validity of
your dreams. I also hope you learned some History and English, too.
You have all come such a long way since that first August day when
you first filled my classroom. You quizzically examined the crescent
shape, and hesitantly took seats. Since then, you have endured countless
hours of lecture, numerous life lessons, an admonishment every now and
then, and odd philosophical conversations (silence, anyone?). I am so
proud of each and every one of you. What a long, strange trip its been, but
for you, it is only the beginning. Thank you for an excellent year, and good
luck in your future endeavors.
Kindest regards,
Mrs. Newman

high-school be the beginning
of a bright future for all of
you.
Best Wishes for wonderful
college/yeshiva years!
Your Friend and Shliach
Meir Cohen
CONGRATULATIONS!
Mel, we are so darn proud of you, we are feeling like
screaming it from the top of the nearest parking gar-
age (mountains are hard to find in these parts). It
wasn't easy for you, we know that, but you kept
pushing through. And when things got even harder,
you pushed even harder. This is who you are as a
true chasid. It doesn't matter that you wear tan pants
(ya we saw the pics), or crazy weird unicorn/ Yoda t-
shirts. What matter is that you "don't go under" you
always "go over" and that makes you the kind, car-
ing, sensitive, creative, and funny Chassid we love
and adore. May you continue to give Hashem, The
Rebbe, and your family chassidishe yiddishe nachas.
Love,
Your parents, siblings ( who seriously worship you),
and your entire family from California to Baltimore
and everyone in between.
CONGRATULATIONS!
To Menachem Mayteles,

l'Torah u'l'chupah u'l'maasim tovim!!
We love you SO much!!
