1.0 Language Senior Teacher Welcoming Speech
1.1 Tuan Haji Ahmad Shukeri began the meeting by reciting the prayers.
He thanked all teachers for attending the first meeting of the year
and welcomed new teachers into the team.
1.2 He congratulated all Form 3 teachers for the improvement in 2013
PMR result recently and wished best of luck for upcoming 2013 SPM
result as well.
1.3 He also congratulated all teachers for their hard work and
commitment in managing the Co-Academic activities such as choral
speaking, debate and public speaking team successfully until the
state level.
1.4 He mentioned about the principals order to remind all teachers to
completely update their lesson plan books. The analysis data must
be bind.
1.5 He also mentioned about the principals order to discuss about the
number of optioned and non-optioned teachers in the committee
and the list of resources and materials used in teaching English in
the class room.
1.6 He reminded all of the teachers to be prepared as the officers from
the PPD will be coming over to school on the 22
nd
of January 2014
for the observation of teaching and learning session in the class
room and inspection of lesson plan book.
1.7 He also delivered the principals order to ask us to write the
teachings reflection more effectively and focused.
1.8 Regarding on the Central PBS evaluation, he briefly explained to us
on how the students will be evaluated. There will be 2 hours of
writing test, 2 hours of reading and listening test and 30minutes are
allocated for the speaking test. The evaluation will be handled by
our very own school teachers.
1.9 He continued his speech by telling that all teachers will be provided
with a record file to put all their teaching evidences or any related
matters. He also asked us to prepare our yearly committee budget
for 2014.

2.0 Head of Panel Welcoming Speech
2.1 Puan Noor Adiba (KP) welcomed all teachers including new teachers
to the meeting.
2.2 She also congratulated all teachers for the excellent improvement in
the recent PMR result. She reminded us about our role as a
responsible teacher as reminded by the principal.
2.3 KP welcomes Encik Abd Hakim as the committees new secretary.

3.0 Confirmation of Minutes
3.1 Puan Noor Adiba presented the minutes and Cik Norfaezah
proposed the minutes to be passed and it was seconded by Encik
Abd Hakim.

4.0 Matters Arising From The Previous Meeting

5.0 Analysis of PMR 2013
5.1 Puan Noor Adiba mentioned about the principals order to do the
post mortem on the recent PMR result for English subject. The form
3 teachers listed down the programs held in conjunction with the
examination. Among those were Friday Classes for 3C, 3D and 3E
students and Afternoon Classes for 3A, 3G and 3B students (The Set
Program students). There were also 18 potential straight As
students whom were selected by the school administrator which
were divided into 3 groups. All of them were given the scaffolding
session by the respective Form 3 teachers.
5.2 As the result, the number of failures for the set program students
were reduced for almost 50% as compared to the previous years
PMR. In 2012 PMR, there were 13 failures while there were only 6
failures in the 2013 PMR.
5.3 Adding up to this success, there were 9 students who managed to
score A in English subject in 2013 as compared to only 4 who scored
A in the previous year.

6.0 Analysis of Form 4 Final Exam 2013 in English subject.
6.1 The KP mentioned that instead of comparing the number of failures
or passers in English subject, she suggested all form 4 teachers to do
some analysis on the increase of marks. The teachers should at least
look at the students slight improvement in their marks from each
examination.
6.2 The Form 4 teachers listed down the programs done in improving
students achievement in the subject. Among those were the use of
writing modules, extra classes and the involvement of students in
co-academic activities such as choral speaking, debate and public
speaking.

7.0 Strategic Action Plans
7.1 Puan Noor Adiba divided the teachers according to the forms in
order for them to come out with the Yearly Strategic Actions Plans.
The division is as followed.

Form 3 Encik Abd Hakim Ikram Bin Zakaria
Form 4 Puan Hasbibah and Team
Form 5 Puan Noor Adiba and Team
7.2 The principal wanted us to come out with the plans as stated below
- It should be highlighted the strategic issues
- There must be goals or aims of all strategic plans
- It should be in sync with the head count.
8.0 Budget
8.1 Puan Noor Adiba opened up to all members to discuss about the
2014 budget for the committee.
8.2 Encik Abd Hakim suggested to buy another 60 copies of English
dictionary to be used during the lesson by the students
8.3 The promotion of laminating service among students and teachers
as there is a machine owned by the committee. The selling price was
set to RM1 per use. This is for the rising of the committees funding.
8.4 Puan Nur Aina suggested to buy more SPM Literature reference
books to be used in the class room.

9.0 Any other matters
9.1 The discussion of the class allocation among the teachers as there
was a small dispute about the schedule.
9.2 The language panel had received a room for locating all the books
and documents in it. Encik Abd Hakim was appointed as the room
taker and the cleaning session was decided on 26
th
January 2014.
