FORMAT FOR PREPARATION OF PROJECT REPORT

1. ARRANGEMENT OF CONTENTS:
The sequence in which the project report material should be arranged and bound should be as
follows:
1. Cover Page & Title Page
2. onafide Certificate
!. "bstract
#. Table of Contents
$. %ist of Tables
&. %ist of 'igures
(. %ist of )*mbols+ "bbreviations and ,omenclature
-. Chapters
.. "ppendices
1/. 0eferences
The table and figures shall be introduced in the appropriate places.
2. PAGE DIMENSION AND BINDING SPECIFICATIONS:
The dimension of the project report should be in "# si1e. The project report should be
bound using fle2ible cover of the thic3 white art paper. The cover should be print! in
"#$%& #ttr' and the te2t for printing should be identical.
(. PREPARATION FORMAT:

report are given in Appn!i- 1.
(.2 B)n$.i! Crti.i%$t / The onafide Certificate shall be in double line spacing using 'ont
)t*le Times ,ew 0oman and 'ont )i1e 1#+ as per the format in Appn!i- 2.
The certificate shall carr* the supervisor5s signature and shall be followed b* the supervisor5s
name+ academic designation 6not an* other responsibilities of administrative nature7+
department and full address of the institution where the supervisor has guided the student.
The term 0SUPERVISOR1 must be t*ped in capital letters between the supervisor5s name
and academic designation.

spacing+ 'ont )t*le Times ,ew 0oman and 'ont )i1e 1#.
(.2 T$"# ). C)ntnt' / The table of contents should list all material following it as well as an*
material which precedes it. The title page and onafide Certificate will not find a place
among the items listed in the Table of Contents but the page numbers of which are in lower
case 0oman letters. 8ne and a half spacing should be adopted for t*ping the matter under this

tables in the te2t. 8ne and a half spacing should be adopted for t*ping the matter under this

Chapters developing the main theme of the project wor3 6iii7 and Conclusion.
The main te2t will be divided into several chapters and each chapter ma* be further divided
into several divisions and sub:divisions.
;ach chapter should be given an appropriate title.
Tables and figures in a chapter should be placed in the immediate vicinit* of the
reference where the* are cited.
'ootnotes should be used sparingl*. The* should be t*ped single space and placed
directl* underneath in the ver* same page+ which refers to the material the* annotate.

included in the main te2t ma* serve as a distraction and cloud the central theme.
"ppendices should be numbered using "rabic numerals+ e.g. "ppendi2 1+ "ppendi2

"ppendices+ Tables and 0eferences appearing in appendices should be numbered and
referred to at appropriate places just as in the case of chapters.
"ppendices shall carr* the title of the wor3 reported and the same title shall be made
in the contents page also.

<0;';0;,C;)= in alphabetical order in single spacing left 4 justified. The reference
material should be listed in the alphabetical order of the first author. The name of the
author>authors should be immediatel* followed b* the *ear and other details.

The impression on the t*ped copies should be blac3 in colour.
