English Language Arts NYS ELA Assessments Grade 7 Grade 8 The tests include both literary and informational passages and measure the skills and knowledge specified in the English Language Arts Learning Standards for grammar, writing, punctuation, comprehension and literacy.
The English Language Arts Test contains questions in a variety of formats, including multiple-choice, short-response, and extended-response questions. The exam is three days in length.

These Documents contain: Challenging Vocabulary both academic and content. Rigorous reading material that allows students to expand their comprehension and understanding of history. Writing components that force students to pull information from the text to become better researchers and historians. Debating skills Language is a bridge to communication Benefits of learning a second language: The life-long ability to communicate with people from other countries and backgrounds.
