DeviceNet Wireless Units WD30 1

DeviceNet WireIess Units

WD30
Enables up to 3,200 points of l/O via wireless DeviceNet
l/O slaves (input: 1600, output: 1600).
Optimum on-site communications method.
High-speed response ideal for information-related applications.
Relay function allows long communications distances.
Easy installation.
Settings for wireless communications possible from unit.
Conforms to the following radio wave standards:
Note: Conformance with these standards means that the antenna can
be installed separately. The unit can be purchased as a set with
a pencil antenna (WD30-ME/-SE) or with a magnet based an-
tenna (WD30-ME01/-SE01).

InstaIIation
Example pertains to remote antenna model only.
1. The wireless unit (1) is installed in the control panel using the two
M4 screws provided.
2. The 16-point input terminal (2) is installed in the control panel
using DlN track or two M4 screws.
3. The antennas are attached to the control panel with magnets and
the antenna cables are fed into the control panel where they are
connected to the wireless unit (1) with connectors.
4. A shielded T-branch connector (4) is connected to the wireless
unit (1), and a shielded terminating resistor (5) and a cable with
one connector (6) are connected to it.
5. Wire the DeviceNet cable (of 6), the terminal block with a termi-
nating resistor (8), and the DC24V, 1A power supply (for the wire-
less unit (1) and the 16-point input terminal (2)) to the multi-drop
connection connector (7).
6. Wire the contact signals of the 16-point input terminal (2) to the
PLC's output card (PNP). Use a separate power supply for l/O.
