Project overview:
Overall status Green The WAG directed that the project concentrate efforts on considering
information categories which impact the forward price curve of
electricity. Other categories which do not require code changes and
which are not contentious should be progressed by the Electricity
Authority as long as there was a market need and that benefits of
doing so exceed the costs.
Timeline Yellow A WAG discussion paper should be published early in 2012, and
recommendations provided to the Board in mid 2012. Key efforts
around the Chairs work with voluntary disclosure of fuel an snowpack
quantities now involved.
Code development Green Code changes will only be considered after submissions to the planned
consultation paper have been received.
Resources Green Resources are available as required, being Victoria Coad of Concept
and Richard Harrow of the Authority, and internal legal support.
Scope Green Scope for the Wholesale Market Information Project is to be restricted
to items which may be expected to impact on the forward price curve
and which will be outlined in the discussion paper.
