Introduction
The Dreamer reminds us all that within us we do have dreams of our own.
Some, or many have allowed their dreams to die, or made excuses of why
it is impossible to fulfill their dreams. Making ones dreams come to life
takes time, great risk, courage, sacrifice, and work. Not everyone is willing to
do this for one reason or another. For some it is age, for others, it is
listening too much to what others have to say.Without dreams we become
as shells, just exisiting. Sometimes we end up living for everyone else but
our own dreams. Without Dream s, a purpose we go no where. We
accomplish nothing.
What is the difference between having a dream, and having a fantasy?
A dream within you does not go away, even after years.
Fantasy is thinking you might get it when you have no chance.
Example; I want to be an elephant! This is a fantasy, it is impossible as I am
human, elephants are animals. Now yes that is extreme, but think you get
my point. I like what somone has said "Dream is what we want to
manifest in the world and in our lives, which is already real within
us ". Also "Fantasy is using the imagination to experience the fulfillment
of desire or dream now." Dreams! Goals! Ideals! They all mean the
same. These things are what fill every human alive. They are part of
life and human nature. We all have the inbred desire for a good life.
Dreams are vital to the life of every person. Without dreams, there
is nothing to plan or look forward to; therefore, no reason to live.
Dreams are what keep each and every one of us going.
People who had Dreams, and found away, and over came many
obsticles along the way;

himself."

Chapter1
The Dreamer
You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join
us. And the world will live as one.
John LennonThe music played as she wrote in her journal which was kept secret for her eyes
only. No one really new she had a journal, let alone what was in it. She spent hours
alone. For some reason she never really clicked with anyone, but had a friend or
three here and there. One good friend who worked down at the backery, three years
older than her never seemed to be approved by mom for a friend. The thought was
because she was part Asian.Mother was always commenting "those Japs, and
Asians are taking over everything, and are everywhere". Of course Her mother
never ever who admit she had predujuices. It was hard at home, living with so
much negativity, and criticisms. She always felt as if she was never good enough.
On days she was not in school, she would find time to hang out at the lake, the
beach, in a forest park, or at the airport. Her favorite place was the airport and lake.
Watching the birds, and planes fly desirng to be able to spread her wings. The feel
of the warm sun on her body, and refreshment of jumping into the lake. There was
a rock peir where people could lay out or dive. It was funny one Sunday afternoon
while she was laying out there was a wedding party which came down for pictures.
Not to happy with having to move as she saw them peiring at the pier. However;
the offering of 10.00$ made for an easy decsion for about an hour.
She I name Dreamer, as some have said all she does is dream, and she does not
accomplish anything. She needs to get a life. For Dreamer not many thought much
of her, or her dreams. She used to share them with many, but quickly learned that
was not a good idea for her to do. Her dream could be anybodys.
There is a dreamer in each of us. Some say, and believe it is childish to have
dreams.

I think without a dream, what then would be accomplished. Somone had a dream
of going to the moon. It happened.
Dreamers
"For some years, I have been afflicted with the belief that flight is possible to man. My disease
has increased in severity and I feel that it will soon cost me an increased amount of money, if not
my life."
Wilbur Wright

Failures seem to be the road to success.

When the Wright Brothers arrived at Kitty Hawk in 1903 for their historic attempt,
they were almost certain of success. They had all but conquered the air the
previous year with over 1,000 successful gliding flights in their 1902 glider, "all
under perfect control of the operator," wrote Wilbur. But only one year prior to
their 1902 success, after disappointing glider experiments in 1900 and 1901, the
Brothers had nearly given up in defeat. They had based their wing designs on the
work of predecessors, pioneers who were widely respected within the scientific
community, only to discover that all of it was hopelessly in error. On returning
from Kitty Hawk after unsuccessful gliding experiments in 1901, Wilbur's despair
was evident when he declared: "Not within a thousand years will man ever
fly." But in one last effort, the Wrights turned to wind tunnel tests and finally
uncovered the secrets of heavier-than-air flight. An elated Orville wrote to a
friend: "Isn't it astonishing that all of these secrets have been preserved for so
many years just so we could discover them!" The 1902 glider would prove out their
new discoveries, and the 1903 machine, essentially a larger powered version of
their 1902 glider, would take to the air in triumph.
Albert Einstein
Albert Einstein did not speak until he was four years old and didn't read until he
was seven. His teacher described him as "mentally slow, unsociable and adrift
forever in his foolish dreams." He was expelled and refused admittance to Zurich
Polytechnic School. The University of Bern turned down his Ph.D. dissertation as
being irrelevant and fanciful.
Colonel Sanders
had the construction of a new road put him out of business in 1967. He went to
over 1,000 places trying to sell his chicken recipe before he found a buyer

interested in his 11 herbs and spices. Seven years later, at the age of 75, Colonel
Sanders sold his fried chicken company for a finger-lickin' $15 million!

Martin Luther King JuniorMartin Luther King, Jr., (January 15, 1929-April 4, 1968) was born Michael Luther
King, Jr., but later had his name changed to Martin. He graduated from High
School at age 15, went on to get his B.A Degree in the year 1948. This man had a
dream, not just for himself, but for all.
He was a Pastor,Leader,Noble Prize winner at abut age 35.
Remember his speech?
" I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning
of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created
equal."
I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves
and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of
brotherhood. I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state
sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be
transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they
will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
I have a dream today!
Where would civil rights be today without dreamers, who dared to pursue their
dream?.

Dreamers know they have a purpose, and they are not here just to exist, or take
space. Dreamers, also feel a calling to do something.
What is my purpose in life is a question asked by many people as they
ponder the reasons for their existence. Life is the expression of the Reason
for being. The Reason represents the intelligence that is within all things. For
example, it is the power within a seed, when planted in the garden, grows
step by step to the fulfilment of its reason for being. Everything has a
purpose, a time and a season. Autumn is a wonderful example of the
fulfilment of many plants as we enjoy the abundance of fruits and vegetables
that are harvested at this time in the cycles or seasons of life.
The real you is your inner purpose. When you took your first breath of life,
you became a living being. The time of birth determines the quality of the
power within you and reveals your purpose in life. Kabalarians call that
purpose the birthpath.

Merriam-Webster defines a calling as: a strong inner impulse toward a

particular course of action especially when accompanied by conviction of divine
influence.

Your calling represents a specific set of tasks to be carried out in the world. This
represents your lifes work. This cannot be born of your ideas to have any
meaning. It must emanate from Knowledge within you. And you must be in a
position to accept thisto accept the challenge of it, to accept what you may have
to relinquish to receive it and to accept the benefits that it will most surely provide
for you.
Here are questions dreamers have asked themselves, and so can we...
What am I here to learn?
What am I here to teach?
What am I here to overcome?
What am I here to complete?
What am I here to express?

Often answers to these type of questions are always evolving. Nothing is ever set in
stone. We go through many stages, and changes in life.We make choices, and choices,
good or bad have consequences.
Dont let todays disappointments cast a shadow on tomorrows dreams.
~Unknown
Whether youre a kid or an adult I guess theres never really a shortage of big
dreams in this world. Why should there be?

Chapter 3
Developing Your Dream
Having a dream in your heart, is much like pregnancy. A dream is a vision in your
heart planted in there like a seed. Before you birth a dream, it must grow in you so
much so you want it so bad that you are willing to labor for it for hours, or years.
Sometimes it just begins with desire, and then grows to a dream, where everything
you do, you are always conscious about it. You feel it, see it. Your desire becomes
a passion to birth it. Hacving a dream is emotional, and to labor and bring it fort
takes time, and is costly. It will change you, and your life. A wise saying from the
scriptures says to us Ecclesiastes 5:3 says, "For a dream comes with much business
and painful effort." This is why many people abort their dreams before they
reach full-term. We must be expecting, live in expectation. We also must watch
our attitudes. As they effect our emotions. Attitude is everything in living healthy,
and everything in success. Lets face it the truth is that too many arent ready for
our dreams to come true today . We need to grow, expand, power up and grow
braver in order to hold and emanate the large amount of energy required to live
our dreams. Some also need to heal, and be set free of egos. A haughty (
pridefilled, ego) spirit comes before a great fall.
To me somethings I have learned in fulfilling your dreams are:
Know yourself
Know your purpose
Always be learning
Posses great work ethics
Be disciplined
Know when to speak, and when to shut up - There is a time to share, and be careful
whom you share with.

Seek balance in all you do.

Excercise- live healthy.
A quote by Henry Ford I love;
Whether you believe you can or cant: you are right. - Henry Ford

A short segment from a writing from Kathy Carpino ..5 Criticle Steps in fulfilling
your big dreams...
" Identify the essence of what you want, then find the right form of it
So many people today are desperately unhappy in their current situations, and fantasize
intensively about one new direction thinking it will be the panacea, but havent explored
this direction enough to know if its really right for them. Weve all fallen victim to the
grass is always greener on the other side myth, but until we step over the fence to try
it on we just cant know. Before you leap, research, research, research what this new
direction means and entails, and what it will give you (and the sacrifices it will demand
of you) to pursue it. The key is to find the right form of the dream so that when you
achieve it, it brings to your life what you hope for."

This is so true. Say for example " I dream of being an airline Pilot"
However, one problem you are afraid of flying, and heights. Then maybe
look to another form, or area in aviation may be a wiser choice .Here is
another, I dream of being a Surgeon, but you cannot stand the sight of
blood. Mybe look into another area in the medical field. These also show us
thedifference in having a realistic dream, or fantasy.
We also must understand we all have a purpose for being here. We are here
not just to take space. Think we are born with a mind so we can think, and
create,we are born with hands, and feet to do, and serve, help. We are all
good at something, and we each have gifts, and talents. We are responsible
to know ourselves, and talents, gifts, and then to do something wit them.
My name Aurora-Dawn means light bringer, through understanding just my
own name,I am inspired to be an inspiration and to serve, and use my gifts
where I can. If you are a person who naturall attracts others, and others just
seem to always follow you, you are a natural leader.
Take time to observe who, and what is going on around you. Pay attention
to what you find yourself love doing.

Four steps that can improve how you live

Follow the trail: If you or anyone else has told you that something isnt possible
and you believed it you are selling yourself short. Just because someone is older
than you doesnt mean they have a better mind than you. If you are looking to be
happy, then go talk to people who are happy. Go to those people who have great
qualities and who you admire. Ask them how they got that way and how they
developed that trait. Read books about people who have qualities you want. No
ones perfect, but you can model individual qualities after people. Successful
people dont happen by accident.
No more excuses or complaints: You have to be willing to put in the work to get
what you want. Lets call a spade a spade. This has nothing do with anyone else.
No more excuses or complaints. Every time you catch yourself complaining or
making excuses for anything stop yourself. Now take a breath and put that energy
into resolving the situation. Babies are allowed to complain, grown men and
women can do something about it. This is one change that will have a significant
impact on your life and is one of the easiest to change. You might be surprised by
how much you do this once you start watching for it.
Fire up the theatre in your mind: What should be the easiest exercise for us is
actually one of the most difficult. What do you mean you want me to dream about
what I want? I dont know what I want!! You have to take time and look
internally. Develop a vision of it that excites you in your mind. Take a pen and
paper out and draw it out. Find out why you want that life and what it would do for
you. How it would make you feel? Re-visit this each morning you wake up and
every night before you go to sleep. The more you develop it, the larger the impact
it will have. Dont believe me? Try it daily for two weeks and tell me you havent
seen a difference in your life.
Get real: If you are looking for a magic pill, it doesnt exist. That is true as a
metaphor and in reality. Medications have some benefit and I am not discounting
their uses. But, as an example, most of the antidepressants prescribed today are to
make people feel better about the fact that they hate their lives. Theres no
alternative to you putting in the work! We cant live your lives for you. Medication
is a tool, not a solution. Remember who you are, where you came from, and what
youve always wanted, not what you are willing to settle for.
Further reading on the self-image: The book is called The New PsychoCybernetics by Maxwell Maltz and Dan Kennedy. It is an intimidating name for a
great book and it is an easier read than the name suggests. I highly recommend it.

The four points are taken from

The book is called The New Psycho-Cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz and Dan Kennedy.

Your Dream must be watered with action. Does your dream require more
schooling, or training? Does it require some experience in a certain area? What are
you now doing in regards to the next steps.
I must also talk to myself too on these things, and tis one more specifically.
We must develope a success conscious, or way of thinking, and attitude. We must
develop the "Can do Attitude". No excuses. We also must develop patience, yes
sometimes great patience. Refuse the I give up cause it is just to hard syndrom.
Be persistenant.
Put baundries around you from negative people, and thinking.
Always be flexible along the way.
Listen to wise council. Listen, do not begin thinking of what your going to say
next. Yes, I have done that many times. Mom used to call me motor mouth since I
so loved talking all the time.
Obstacles in life are the stumbling blocks to one's success and one's dream.
They block your way to stardom. Whatever you do, the dream will shatter
and success will vanish into thin air. Life can't function well if there is a
hindrance along the way. Most people say that there is a panacea about the
obstacles. There is a counter attack of the influx affecting the general public
and environment. But not all can be stopped due to strategies and
remedies; as a matter of fact, life is like a wheel, sometimes we're up,
sometimes we're down.

. People who failed badly before success-

1. Will Smiths life got flip turned upside down when he owed the IRS $2.8
million in taxes in 1989.
2. Vincent van Gogh only sold ONE painting out of 900 in his life, Red Vineyard
at Arles.

3. Lady Gaga got dropped by a major record label after only three months.
4. Sidney Poitier was brutally rejected by the American Negro Theater for his
Bahamian accent and difficulty reading.
There is many.
Here are 5 things, or steps to make your dreams come true.
These steps are from...Rebekah Bex Borucki, founder of BEXLIFE and the BLISSED IN
wellness movement,
These she shared in an article in GoodNews Right In Your Inbox
Step 1: Believe in dreams and miracles. Have a dream, and believe that it can come true.
Thats it. Believe that dreams and miracles happen every day. You also have to acknowledge that
youve already experienced countless big and tiny miracles in your own life. The fact that Im
able to communicate with people all over the world, every single day, through a marvelous
machine of modern science and technology through an interconnected invisible network called
the internet is kind of miraculous. Bam! Theres a miracle. Every I want is a little dream.
Kaplow! You already have your first dream.
Step 2: Speak your dreams OUT LOUD.
Bring your dreams out of your imagination and into reality with your breath and your words. Tell
everyone you meet about all the amazing things that are coming your way. Speak it and youll
start to believe it. Youll also be planting tiny little promises all around that youre just going to
have to fulfill. Sometimes speaking a dream out loud can be the scariest thing imaginable. What
will people think of me? Will they find me egotistical or too proud or obnoxious? Who cares!
Your desire for happiness is so valid and so worth fighting for. Maybe you think you dont
deserve it right now or that its not for you. That cannot matter. Just keep talking about your
dreams, wants, and desires as if you already have themas if theyre already on their way. Then
watch closely for what happens next.

Step 3: Show up.

When people start hearing about your dreams, theyll want to be a part of them. Theyll think of
you when something in their own life pops up that reminds them of your dream. Theyll tell you
about opportunities and want to connect you with people who share your passion. There is a
catch. You have to be ready to show up for these opportunitieseven if youre impossibly
afraid. Fear will try to get in your way at every turn. Just thank this fear for its time and
contribution to your growing process and then move right past it. Show up even when youre not
quite sure what youre doing. Show up even when youre not sure if youll get anything out of
the experience. Just keep showing up every single day. Dont make it hard for your dreams to

find you. By the way, show up also means work really bloody hard on your passion. Dreams
always require hard work.
Step 4: Be kind and be grateful.
I can say a lot about why this is probably the most important step, but Ill keep it simple. Just
practice kindness and gratitude, and the Universe (and your friends and family and strangers)
will reward you with even more to be grateful for and relationships to practice your newfound
appreciation and benevolence. Be kind to people who reflect who you may have been. Show
compassion for them and offer your help and guidance in order to lift them up with you. Share
your knowledge, your success stories, and truth about your missteps and failures. Always offer
your most authentic self, because thats all that the Universe wants from you. Acknowledge how
much you have to be grateful for and be grateful that you have so much to offer.
Step 5: Save for a rainy (or sunny) day.
This applies to money, energy, ideas, and time. You cant give everything to everything. Make it
your practice to focus on one thing at this very moment. Practice being here now. Its important
to save a little back for the big miracles that pop up out of nowhere and need a little extra
something to make them work. Even joy can overwhelm you. Great opportunities can cause
you to shut down. Approach your everyday life with softness and save your energy for the times
that require hard work.
There will always be times when great tragedy presents itself to you. If you use up too much
energy worrying about your laundry pile, your stack of bills, or what your co-worker thinks of
you, your power will be too depleted to carry you through that pain or sadness.
My father died recently. At the time of his death, I was experiencing unprecedented success in
my life. Beyond personal successes, my professional life was moving stealthily toward
abundance. He watched the first episode of my first television show on his deathbed just days
before he passed. We watched together with excitement and pride.
If my practice wasnt to focus on gratitude every single day, I would have missed all the beauty
of being with him during his final days and hours. I would have only felt the sadness. Its a
miracle to have a practice.

Success, satisfaction, self-love, dream buildingthese all take practice and disciplined
work. The greater practice is to remind yourself on a constant basis that all of these things
are absolutely for you. The act of reminding continues to be my practice. Fear creeps in, and I
act in spite of it. Doubt takes hold, and I breathe deeply until it lets go. Rules are presented to
me, and I write my own instead. My greatest wish is for you to do the sameor better. I love
you!

Chapter 3
School of Hard Nox

When I was in school, I hated it. I hated getting up in the morning, the
early morning showers, and getting dressed. I also did not like home work,
and foolish me got by without hardly doing mine at all. To this day I am
suprised I graduated.

The School of Hard Knocks or University of Hard Knocks is an idiomatic

phrase meaning the (sometimes painful) education one gets from life's
usually negative experiences, often contrasted with formal education
Apparently I am one who has had to spend many years in this school. One
does not appriciate what they have available to them till years later, and or

they also loose them. This applies to relationships, things, and oppotunities

we may have.
Ofter the Dreamer has had to go through years of hard nox to learn many
things about themselves, and how to make better choices.

1.Respnsibility
Many learn as children through chores, school, then later in a job about
responsibility
We develop habits early on to be lazy, procrastinate, or to be dilligent, work
hard,be on time, care about what you do. If we do not learn, we learn the
hard way through consequences, failures, loss, being broke, etc. Sometimes
being responsible means doing things we do not feel like doing all the time,
or even like.

2.Finances
Either we learn how to be responsible, save, spend wisely, or we do not.
Then life steps in. I can tell you every time I have really spent needlessly, or
foolishly, something has always come up where I really needed the money,
and had no other resources. I am today in debt because I am still having to
learn this lesson.
Did you know it is true, the borrower is servant to the lender. Credit, credit
cards is a door to slavery if your not careful, and responsible. Debt is a
major cause of divorces, of trouble, hhardships in family. In fact it has been
cause of major stress so bad some end up ill, and some even end up in the
hospital. If we cannot be faithful in small things, why would life allow us
more?

3 PrioritiesWe are responsible when it is important to us, truly. Ask what is really
important, what do you value most? I have had to do lists now and then to
remind me of what really should my priorities be.
Lessons this Dreamer has learned in the school of hard nox;

1.Becareful what you share with people. Know your friends well.
Sometimes what you share is used against you.

2.Becareful what you say, gossip always comes back to bite you in the arse,
in time.

3.Becareful with whom you share your real dreams and vision with. Not
everyone will celebrate, or may be for you.

4 Not everyone is who they seem to be.

5 Developing character is more important than how many friends one has,
or even impressing anyone.

6.Character is developed over time, and in hard times.

7.Who you are will eventually show. The masks eventually slip.

8.What you feed in your life grows, be it postive energy, or negative

energy.

9.You do not have to have IT NOW.

10. Most of what we think we need , we do not.

11. What you do not value, you will loose.

12. There is not always a second chance to make things right.

Under30CEO recently, 28-year old entrepreneur Brent Beshore, CEO of

AdVentures, gifted those just starting out on the road he's recently traveled
with eight truths he wishes he knew when he was 22. Among them:

Being busy destroys your value. I used to pride myself on the amount of
"stuff" I'd do. I was constantly meeting with someone and working on
something. I felt extremely productive. How could I not be successful when
I did so much? Unfortunately when I looked back on what Id
accomplished, it amounted to very little. Although I continue to fall back
into cycles of busyness, I know a key ingredient in the recipe for success:
"make haste slowly."

Nothing complicated ever works out. I've crafted a lifetime of reseller

agreements, highly complex employment incentives, partnerships, and
intricate business plans. None of them have been successful. Success has
come from simple plans, defined roles and clear expectations. For every
added layer of complication, you've exponentially increased your chances
of failure.
"Quit the wrong stuff. Stick with the right stuff. Have the guts to do one or
the other." Seth Godin says it perfectly. Life is not about gutting out every
situation. It's about identifying opportunity and a lack thereof. If your
pride is all that is standing in the way of quitting, quit. The right people
won't care and the wrong people don't matter. If you know you're on the
right path, persevere though the pain. It will be worth it.
______________________________________________________
When I was in school, I was in JROTC Army. I learned about importance of
compliance,order,orginization,discipline,obedience ,adherance to
authority, and respect. Now I did choose, not to continue and join the
Army, my sorry reason,I did not like being yelled at. Now at 45 it is one of
those things I wish I had the courage to have done. I also did not because of
fears, and believed the negative of what some said to me. I wish now I did
not. This is one of those tings I can never re do.
__________________________________________________________

I think one point of the school of hard nox is to live each day so you do not
have regret.
Do you remember the song "Dreamer" by SuperTramp?
"Dreamer you, know you are a dreamer Well can you put your hands in
your head oh, no I said "Dreamer, you're, nothing but a dreamer" Well can
you put your hands in your head oh, no I said "Far out what, a day a, year

a, laugh it is" You know well, you know you had it comin' to you Now
there's not a lot I can do Dreamer you, stupid little dreamer "

Yes some make fun of the Dreamers, but if there were no dreamers, there
would be know USA,no automobiles,planes,,electricity,etc.

Procrastination is an enemy to you fulfilling your dreams. How often have

you ad I said we will get to that tomorrow, and never do. I know after HS,
mom took me up to the Junior, or community college, and I decided to take
a year. Well year came, and went. I did not go to a community college till
years later. I have since regretted this.

What are you procrastinating about, and why?

We as humans are so good with excuses, and you know that is anoother
hard lesson life will teach us. Excuses do not fly, as we think they do.
We need to stop with our excuses.

Another hard lesson for me, Stop depending on others to do for you what
you can, and should do. This is one great way to get hurt, and to loose
good relationships.Do we not to walk out ourselves every step to our
dreams, and have the experience?

Rejection is unfortunately a part of life. It is vital to learn not all rejection is

personal.
Becareful what advice you reject, and what people you reject.

Chapter 4
Liar Liar,Pants on Fire

Lies,is it ever right to tell them? A little white lie, it cannot hurt, or can it?
The problem with lying, you need to remember your story, and one lie
always leads to another. A snowball effect.

One thing for sure which can delay, if not destroy our dreams is lies.
Lies we listen to from ourself,"You can't", and lies from other people. Most
people mean well. Some do not.

Our Dreamer listened to a lie from within, and without. Our Dreamer
ended up in the school of hard nox as well. Instead of pursuing her dream,
she sought what she mis thought she was supposed to do. She also made
the mistake of not building her own self confidence. This decision nearly
cost her all. Poor thing she became obsessed about this other work, and
position.
She was obsessed in becoming a leader, like soe of her friends. She wanted
to be in their circle, and do what they did. Well it took her on a
looooooooooong road away from what her purpose, and dream was.
Dreamer because of past rejections, and hurts, suffered low self esteem. At
this time she was not overweight by much at all.She was very nice looking.

However Dreamer always saw herself as ugly, not pretty enough, fat, etc.

Dreamer was good at always comparing herself, and being jealous of
others.
Well as time progressed Dreamer, and some of her family moved to a new
place. For some reason Dreamer fell into depression, and just did work to
make money. However Dreamer's other mistake at this time was
medicating her self on shopping, going to movies, spending money she
really did not have. As credit cards came for her, she got them/ Dreamer
fantasied about bein grich, and used credit cards as if she was. It was fun,
made her feel good.
In time it caught up to her, never had enough to pay, got layed of, got
dismissed at a couple places, car always needed something when she was
low on cash. Not to mention she had responsibilities at
home.Rent,phone,food,how would she contribute?

Her family found out, and there was a huge argument so bad she ended up
moving out for a year. Dreamer lived with a couple of dear friends. It is too
bad they did not give her guidance, and help in getting back to being a
responsible adult. Dreamer did baby sit kids, help paint, help cook, and
clean. However Dreamer lost motivation to get back to work or even get
more schooling. In fact she got to be relgious, and gave the appearance of
just being very spiritual. I believe Dreamer believed the lies in her head
what she was doing was right. Dreamer was sincere in most things, and
whatever she did she did to the best of her ability. However one can be
sincerely wrong. Well if she was going to be a Pilot, this was not the way.
Now Dreamer believes the lie it is too late.Works little jobs here and there
after she moved back home. Dreamer even had desire being her own boss,
so she fell for these be your own boss sceems which cost her hundreds of
dollars.Embarrassed she hid this.Again the old lie "I am so stupid" No she

was not stupid, however did not think things through, and get wise
council. Most times then not if something sounds to good to be true, it is.
Dreamer then found herself in a relationship with a man, who seemed very
good to her, and for her. Maybe a little too good. They went many places,
movies, restruants, excercise, gyms, beach, canoeing etc. They moved in
together and soon there were changes. small ones at first. He missed her,
wanted her home at a certain time. He was returning to school to be a
RN.However more and ore he demanded of her time in cleaning, preparing
dinner, and half time he not make dinner. After he graduated, he got
employed at a hospital, a half hour away. He was a great nurse. He was
not a great boyfriend. Expected Dreamers support, but not giving support
to her dreams.
Not to mention he was sounding very abuse, calling her names etc One day
he decided to up and leave her. Dreamer did not know the lease on the
apartment was not payed for months, but fortunately it was under his
name. Having to leave as she found out two days later after he left they
were evicted. A week later she found out He was a con, and had done this
before. He was married, and a prepetual liar.

The sad thing is the energy we put out is what we attract to us.Dreamer's
other lie she believed was she needed others to feel good, she needed
others approval to succeed.
The truth is when we are ready to succeed, the right people will be there
when they are needed

Some people believe they must lie to achieve their dreams. For they want
what they want at any cost. Greed is different than a dream. When Greed
rules you, you will lie, steal and do whatever it is to get what you want.

People who have real dreams, who achieve them, become a blessing, not a
curse.

Is your dream to be a Dancer, a Star? Famous in some way? Whatever

dream is, listen to this.... apply it to where it fits

We are confronted by lies every day to us, we even lie to ourselves. One of
the biggest lies young dancers grab onto and even worse label themselves
is: "I'm a star" "I'm a master" "I'm dope" "I'm a legend"
No one ever tells dancers about all the hard work and sacrifice that goes
into becoming a "Star" Often when the reality of every day living hits home
dancers are more likely to become "fallen stars" than the other way around.
It seems that that somewhere in between expressing themselves and "being
a fallen star" is the truth and reality of the mission of artistic expression.
MA dancer's life is made up of two imperfect circumstances, dedication
and commitment to perfecting ones work (we often overlook that part)
through a healthy life styleSseeking no reward per say (making a living is
reasonable) but knowing you have something inside of you that needs to
be said.
To live out your mission to dance, and express yourselves artistically one
needs to STOP believing the lies that can kill or impede your artistic
growth.
Its important to keep in mind that the enemy of your goals are "lies" they
will destroy everything possible for you and will literally tear your dreams
apart. So, if you want to keep grounded and your dreams in sight, give
Truth a try, rather than lies.

Without self-confidence we are as babes in the cradle. ~ Virginia Woolf. -

Next page is Lies - Most common lies people tell us that can destroy
ourself worth if we believe them

The truth is is just other peoples opinions of you.

These are an excert from June Whittle iin Miraculous Ladies.

#1. Youre ugly Who sets the standard of beauty? Does being beautiful
make you a better person than who society class as an ugly person? I dont
think so. Beauty will fade away one day; unless you have plastic surgery to
keep it. Maybe youre the most stunningly beautiful person from outward
appearances. And yet, the ugliest from the inside. What matters is the state
of your heart. Your substance deep within you. So if someone tells you
youre ugly, dont believe them. Beauty is altogether in the eye of the
beholder. ~ Lew Wallace That means it depends on what the other person
sees as beauty. If you asked 10 people to describe a rose, all of their
descriptions would differ. #2. Youre useless No one is useless. All of
us have something to offer society. Everyone is born with talents. You just
need to find out what yours are. My ex used to call me useless because I
couldnt give him a massage the way he wanted it. On the other hand, he

couldnt cook like I could. You have strengths in areas where others are
weak and vice versa. #3. Youre stupid Each of us have different degrees
of intelligence, skills and knowledge. Just because you dont live up to
another persons expectations doesnt make you stupid. When a person
calls you stupid, its usually because they have some shortcomings of their
own. If youre a mother and you call your child stupid youre shaping
them into stupid adults. The more you call them stupid, the more theyll
wear and accept that label. #4. Youre a waste of space This is a classic
one that I hear women call their men. And its usually because that man
isnt living up to their expectations. Or maybe hes unemployed and the
woman is the one bringing in the money. Shes angry with him so she
resents him. That man, who she once fell in love with, is now a waste of
space. What she should do is encourage and support him morally while he
looks for a job. Telling anyone theyre a waste of space will not only
destroy their self-confidence, but will also make them feel like rubbish. #5.
I hate you These are angry words theyll usually say in the heat of the
moment to hurt you. Mothers and daughters say it to each other; wives and
husbands do the same. In fact, a lot of us are guilty of either saying it to
someone or thinking it about them. If a person has little or no selfconfidence, those words could hurt them quite deeply. Whether you mean
to say it or not, no one wants to hear that you hate them. Negative words
produce negative results. Feed your self-confidence with positivity. It will
make you a balanced person. Stop believing those lies and secure your
confidence. -

Chapter 5
Fallen, and Can't get up

Do you recall the commercial, which may still come on in some areas. It is

the one an eldery person falls, and cries out for help saying,"Help I have

fallen, and ca't get u", Have you ever felt, and thought with so many
mistakes, failures, you just feel you cannot get up again?

I have been there, and am waling again. I literally fell broke my ankle
bone. I loved to wear my biboveralls at home, or to just run to store. They
were a tad long. I was putting some stuff away, turned got some of the
overalls on something twisted, and hear eek, aweful sound. The pain was
anormous. It was beyond words. Well after 3 days went to Doctors, than
foun out Id have to get surgery asap on it. I was deistated. If I got no
surgery, I would never walk again normally. Surgery was my best chance.
It took two months of recovery, therapy to walk normally with pins, and
something else in it. When I fell, all I could do was crawl around like a
baby. That was something. I used pillows, and we finally got a roller where
you put your knee on and roll. Thank God for that. It was hard and I feared
never walking normal again. However I did what was needed, and today
hardly know its been broke.

Falling, failure is part of life. It is how we learned to first walk. Yes

sometimes we become broken. We become afraid we will never be normal
again. If we allow fear to keep us from stepping out, than we loose a great
experience, and possibilities.
Let me give a picture...
In the bible, there is a story of Peter, and the disciples in a boat fishinggoing after what they really wanted. A storm arose, a bad one. Fear came
over them. Jesus came walking on the water, and they became afraid, till
Jesus spoke, and identified himself. Then Peter, asked Jesus to call him to
walk on the water. He wanted the call to do something really great. Many
of us do to, howeverwe never get out of the darn boat.

Peter did, and key is he began to walk on the impossible, onto greatness.
However Peter got distracted lost focus, and began to sink, slip. He cried
out zhelp, Jesus aided him to their safe place, the boat. Jesus also asked
Peter Why did you doubt?
Peter began slipping, failing because of fear, and doubt, and may I say he
got distracted focused on the wrong thing. He focused on the storm.
Why do we fail?

Think of something in your life which youve wanted to accomplish but

havent. Something deep down. Whether its because you havent gotten
around to it, are too timid to go for it, or you chanced it and failed big time,
conjure up in your mind that big failure of your life. I loved, so love when
people tell it like it is, and love what one person has said "When confronted
with lifes biggest opportunities, most of us shit the bed. And then we enact
a number of strategies to avoid the pain and pressure inherent in reaching
for our dream" Is this not the truth for many people?
_______________________________________________________________
Here are several reasons for why many people fail, there are more, but this
is just a few possible reasons..
Some of these reasons are by Mark Hanson Author,Thinker.......

1. Youre afraid to stand out among the crowd.

Emerson wrote, Society everywhere is in conspiracy against the selfreliance of every one of its members. People dont like it when other
people change or do something that makes them feel awkward or insecure.
Pushing ourselves to reach our own greatness threatens the complacency of

those around us, shining a light on their own squashed dreams and failed
potential. In many cases, these people lash out. It makes makes them
question themselves, which is difficult for most to handle.
I talked to a fellow internet entrepreneur last night. Hes started multiple
online ventures. Some have failed. Some have made money. All of it was
struggle. He spent time traveling around the world and returned home for
the holidays, where his father promptly told him that he needed to be
realistic and get a normal job.
Simple fact of life: if you want to do something incredible, something that
makes you stand out above the rest, then you have to become comfortable
being different from the rest. People will think youre weird, crazy, selfish,
arrogant, irresponsible, obnoxious, stupid, disrespectful, fat, insecure, ugly,
shallow, etc. Those closest to you will often become the harshest. If you
have weak boundaries or are not confident with your own ideas and
desires, then youre not going to make it very far.

Youre not persistent enough.

In 2009, debut author Karl Marlantes finally published Matterhorn, a novel
based on his experiences in the Vietnam War. The book was a hit. The New
York Times called it, one of the most profound and devastating novels to
ever come out of any war. Mark Bowden, bestselling author of Black
Hawk Down declared it the greatest book ever written about The Vietnam
War.
Chapter 6

The Gift of Choice

We are all endowed with a gift which is priceless. The Freedom of choice.
The ability to choose, to decided. In America we are blessed with still great
freedoms compared to so many other countries who are run by dictators.
Today I think we take much for granted in the US. Our freedom, and yes I
believe we are loosing more of our freedoms. If we do not value what we
have, we will loose what we have.

In our America we have fundamental rights, freedoms which provide us

the gift , and ability to choose. I found an article which states them

( (From: Hartley, William H., Vincent, William S.. American Civics. N.Y.,
1974, pp. 34ff)
In drafting the Constitution, most of the Founding Fathers believed that the
safeguards written into it would protect the rights of Americans. But when
the Constitution was sent to the states in 1787 for ratification, a great roar
of disapproval went up. In Virginia, Patrick Henry protested vigorously
against the lack of a specific statement of rights. Other Americans from
different states demanded that a Bill of Rights be added to the Constitution.
A number of states ratified the Constitution only conditionally. That is,
they would approve the Constitution only if it were changed to include
these rights.

Two years after the new American government went into effect, the Bill of
Rights was added as the first ten amendments to the Constitution.
Congress discussed nearly 200 proposals for amendments before it
presented these ten to the states for approval. The states ratified these
amendments, and they became part of the Constitution in 1791.
THE BILL OF RIGHTS

The first ten amendments to the Constitution, or the Bill of Rights, set forth
the priceless rights or freedoms that all Americans may enjoy. A brief
summary of these great freedoms is given here.
FREEDOM OF RELIGION
The first right, or freedom, guaranteed in the Bill of Rights is freedom of
religion. This right is guaranteed in the First Amendment. Freedom of
religion guarantees to all Americans the right to practice any religion they
choose, or to practice no religion at all.
Congress is forbidden to establish any religion as our nation's official
religion. Congress cannot favor any one religion over others or tax citizens
in order to support any one religion.

FREEDOM OF SPEECH
The right to express your ideas and opinions when you speak is called
freedom of speech. Freedom of speech also means the right to listen to the

thoughts and opinions of others. This freedom guarantees that Americans

are free to express their thoughts and ideas about anything. They may talk
freely to their friends and neighbours or speak in public to a group of
people. Of course, no one may use his freedom of speech to injure others. If
a person knowingly says things that are false about another, he may be
sued in court by the person or persons who believe they have been harmed
by what he said.

Americans are free to express opinions about their government or anything

else. They are free to criticize the actions of the government and of
government officials. In a dictatorship, where the nation's government has
all the powers, the people have no right to speak like this. They do not dare
to criticize the actions of the government. If they do, they may be
imprisoned. But all Americans enjoy the freedom of speech, which is
guaranteed in the First Amendment.
FREEDOM OF THE PRESS
The freedom to express your ideas and opinions in writing is known as
freedom of the press. This freedom is closely related to freedom of speech
and is also guaranteed by the First Amendment.

Freedom of the press gives all Americans the right to express their ideas
and thoughts freely in writing. This writing may be in newspapers, books,
magazines, or any other printed or written form. Americans are also free to
read what others write. They may read any newspaper, book or magazine
they want. Because they are free to read a variety of facts and opinions,
Americans can become better-informed citizens.
FREEDOM OF ASSEMBLY

Another priceless freedom guaranteed by the First Amendment is freedom

of assembly, or freedom to hold meetings. Americans are free to meet
together to discuss problems and to plan their actions. Of course, such
meetings must be carried on in a peaceful way.
FREEDOM OF PETITION
The freedom of petition is the right to ask your government to do
something or to refrain from doing something. The First Amendment
contains this guarantee, also. The freedom of petition gives you the right to
write to your Congressman and request him to work for the passage of
laws you favor. You are free to ask him to change laws that you do not like.
The right of petition also helps government officials to know what
Americans think and what actions they want the government to take.

THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS

The Second Amendment to the Constitution guarantees Americans the
right to bear arms. In the early years of our nation, Americans needed
weapons in order to serve in the militia, or volunteer armies, that were
established to defend our states. The militia provided protection during
emergencies, too. Many Americans also believed that without weapons
they would be powerless if the government tried to overstep its powers
and rule by force.
"NO-QUARTERING" RIGHT
The Third Amendment states, "No soldier shall, in times of peace, be
quartered in any house. . . ." Under British rule, the colonists sometimes
had to feed and house British soldiers against their will. As a result,
Americans wanted this practice forbidden under the Bill of Rights.
THE RIGHT TO EQUAL JUSTICE

The Bill of Rights contains many rights that are guaranteed to persons
accused of a crime. Amendments Five, Six, Seven, and Eight are all
concerned with these rights. Our nation places great importance on these
rights in order to guarantee equal justice for all Americans.
A person must be indicted, or formally accused of a crime, by a group of
citizens called a "grand jury" before he can be brought into court for trial.
A person accused of a crime is guaranteed the right to know what law he is
accused of breaking.
A person accused of a crime has a right to a prompt public trial by a jury of
his fellow citizens.
An accused person cannot be put into prison and kept there for weeks or
months while awaiting a trial. He has the right to leave jail, in most cases, if
he can raise a certain sum of money, or bail, as a pledge that he will appear
at his trial.
An accused person has a right to a lawyer to represent him in court.
All the testimony and evidence against an accused person must be
presented publicly in court.
The accused person has the right to call any witnesses to appear if their
testimony will help him.
The accused person cannot be forced to testify or give evidence against
himself.
If the accused person is found guilty, he cannot be given cruel or unusual
punishment. If the accused person is found not guilty of a serious crime, he
cannot be tried a second time for this same crime.
THE RIGHT TO OWN PRIVATE PROPERTY
The Fifth Amendment guarantees Americans the right to own private
property. No person may take away anything that we own. Nor can the

government seize our land, money, or other forms of property without

cause, or without paying for it. The right to own private property is one of
America's basic freedoms. Our free economic system is based upon this
right.
The Power of Choice

Because I believe in going back to basics, let's look at what choices

are and where we DO have choices.
I define choices as picking between two or more options.
Picking between two or more options is making a choice.
The key here is recognizing that you have two or more options
to choice from.
Do I want to get up or stay in bed?
Do I want to go to work or not?
What do I want to wear today?
What do I want for dinner tonight?
Those are all choices.
You can choose between getting up or staying in bed.
You can choose between going to work or not going to work.
You most likely have a variety of clothes to pick from.
You most likely have different options of food to make for dinner.
With each one, you are making a choice.

When you choose not to choose, you are also making a choice.
You have the option to choose or not to choose.

Personal power comes from taking responsibility for

the choices we make.

There is a saying in scripture, which is recording the Lord speaking "

Today I set before you Life, or Death, choose life" Key words; Today,
Choose, Life,.

My question to you is, today what type of choices are you choosing to
make for yourself?

Chapter 7

The Challenges

It is also said many times, if you want new results then begin doing
something different. It is the fool who will expect different results who
refuses to do something he/she has never done. If we want to change our
lives, fulfill our dreams we need to make new choices and do it diligently.
We need to follow through on our choices. Most often it is not easy to make
new choices, to develop new habits. We as humans like our own old habits,
and traditions.v Often we do not like change, and in our thinking "do not
rock the boat!" is our belief system. Now if Peter in the bible never got out

of the boat, he would never have walked on water even if it was a short
time. He would have missed a life changing lesson.

Challenges we will face:

1.The voice of negativity

It is our own thoughts, like what if, I can't, I am not good enough etc. It is
also the voice of others around us, some are negative, because of jealousy,
or control issues.

2.The Mountains - Obsticles along the road.

Delays,unexpected detours,Falls,loss,lack of support,provisions.

3. Fear and doubt- discussed a bit in another chapter

4. Lack of knowledge

5.Lack of experience

6.Lack of maturity - Just not buckling down, treating life as just one big
party.

7.Our own Ego, Pride

8.Self centerdness

9. Health issues

I am sure there are many other challenges.

"Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just,

whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is
any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these
things." (Philippians 4:8)

.The Gift of Choice and the Right to life..... ahem. Yes I will go here for a
moment.
Yes we are given the ability to choose, and we live where we can for most
part excercise this right. I judge no one on a touchy issue as the right to
life, and freedom of choice for women. It is the most difficult hoice any
woman makes. However when to you , when do you believe life begins,
truly? Does anyone knwo for fact?
I do believe too many babies are not given a choice.

I will share my own belief. If a woman is raped, their is life threatning

issues, a woman should have as much knowldge of this , and yet freedom

to do what she believes is right. Yet I do believe we need to value all life.
Many adopt, because they cannot have a child. Think about those people.
You can today choose those adopting if you wish. I will stop there as it is
touchy, yet needs to be discussed without anyone trying to shove the
damnation down any woman's heart. Keep in mind Jesus did not come to
condemn sinners, and He never shoved His truth. People were drawn to
listen, because of Hischaracter, love, and compassion in action.
Facing the challenges of life :

Life is a complete struggle for survival and if you think the struggle will
end one day,no it will not end! You must keep struggling until you attain
your desires and accomplish your dreams.

Life is a real challenge you must overcome. But no matter how tough and
challenging it may be, just believe you can overcome. Don't give up no
matter how difficult things may be. You will succeed.

If you don't struggle, you can't succeed. Success will not come to you by
folding your arms and watching. You must wake up and do something in
order to get something

Change your mindset now. Yes, changing your mindset can make you
succeed faster. At times some people are weighed down by the way they
think. They think all sorts of negative thoughts about themselves. They feel
others are better off than them. They think they cannot make it. They think

they are the only ones who have such challenges. They think some people
are after them.

Honestly below is the one I battle much with, as I tend to give in and let the
emotion of hurt because of failure or not moving on fill me. So I am also
talking to myself first here.
Stop thinking negative thoughts about yourself. Always think positively
every time no matter what you are passing through. Change your mindset
now and you will see that things will begin to change for the better for you.

There is every reason to make the achievement of positive attitude an

important part of diabetes care. We have the technology; we have the
medications; this is the "human factor." There are more choices, more
options, and more ways to cope than ever before; and today no one,
regardless of ramifications, needs to be relegated to a second-class life.
Independence, full participation, and vocational success are achievable.
Diabetes, at any level, is a discipline--and positive attitude is an integral
part of successful self-management.

"One of the most important steps you can take toward achieving your
greatest potential in life is to learn to monitor your attitude and its impact
on your work performance, relationships and everyone around you. f"

And How to Turn it Into ActionKeith Harrell - See more at:

."The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude,
to me, is more important than fact. It is more important than the past, than
education, than money, than circumstance, than failures, than success, than
what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance,
intelligence or skill. It will make or break a company, a church or a home."
source- Unknown author

When you begin to display a positive attitude at work, you can expect to
see benefits. If you have to make a presentation or share a project speech
with others in your department, keep your attitude upbeat and hopeful for
a positive outcome. Reinforce with others the rewards of your goals and
emphasize less on the negatives. This will keep other employees, including
yourself, motivated and on track.

Bad attitudes-

The effects of bad attitudes are;

Unhealthy mindsets,outlooks,emotions,and actions

Negative energy grows.

It encourages others to distance themselves from you

Bad attitudes spread, they are like a plaque. This is why it is vital you
must nip it in the butt asap. A single person's bad attitude can have a huge
effect on the operation of your business. For example, if one employee
begins complaining, his discontent might spread to other workers. Bad
attitudes also can trickle downward. A cranky manager can ruin the
workplace atmosphere for everyone he supervises. Pervasively negative
attitudes can have a detrimental effect on performance, causing employees
to become apathetic and despondent. Mistakes might occur more often,
and output will likely slow.
Other results in the work place;
Unhappy customers
Loss of profits
Disention
Gossip
This is just some.

A CEO share a truth with one of his managers;

One of the most important success factors is the leaders attitude. If a leader
is positive, empathetic, and has high energy it will trickle down and
positively impact a teams overall attitude and performance. Conversely,
when a leader is negative, critical, and lacks energy; team performance will
mirror that attitude and be down.

Choices , Challenges, Attitude

Our Attitude determines our choices, and how we act, and what we do
during a challenge, or when faced with one.We cannot change others
around us, and some circomstances we will not be able to change at least at
moment. We CAN choose to change our attitude, if we really want to.

Chapter 8
Character Development

The other challenge, just may be we need to work on character, our own.
Character is who you are when you are alone, and no one watching you.
Character is developed through adversity, hard nox,and through the
fires, challenges of life. I know I have much still to work on, but I am
growing, I am not who I was ten years ago, nor five. Although somethings
I am re learning. Character is not perfection, it is integrity, it is attitude,it is
making right choices when it is hard.Character is doing the right thing at
all times.

Trustworthiness
Be honest Dont deceive, cheat, or steal Be reliable do what you say
youll do Have the courage to do the right thing Build a good
reputation Be loyal stand by your family, friends, and country
Respect

Treat others with respect; follow the Golden Rule Be tolerant and
accepting of differences Use good manners, not bad language Be
considerate of the feelings of others Dont threaten, hit or hurt anyone
Deal peacefully with anger, insults, and disagreements
Responsibility
Do what you are supposed to do Plan ahead Persevere: keep on trying!
Always do your best Use self-control Be self-disciplined Think
before you act consider the consequences Be accountable for your
words, actions, and attitudes Set a good example for others
Fairness
Play by the rules Take turns and share Be open-minded; listen to others
Dont take advantage of others Dont blame others carelessly Treat all
people fairly
Caring
Be kind Be compassionate and show you care Express gratitude
Forgive others Help people in need

Citizenship

Do your share to make your school and community better Cooperate

Get involved in community affairs Stay informed; vote Be a good
neighbor Obey laws and rules Respect authority Protect the
environment Volunteer

Character development tips;

We are all greatly influenced by our relationship with our parents. How
was this character's relationship with his/her parents? What kind of
people were the parents? Did they have any odd beliefs/habits that your
character has adopted or is rebelling from? In one story I was working on I
had two competing violinists, one from a family that was musicallyoriented with musician parents, and one whose father considered it a great
disappointment that his son did not play football, as he had. Can you see
how these family relationships will affect the attitudes of the two
violinists?

What are your character's vices? Unfortunately, we all have them. A vice
for your character doesn't necessarily have to be drinking or swearing-perhaps your character is a compulsive spender. Perhaps your character's
vice is something as innocuous as a habitual over-consumption of sweets;
maybe your character is a chocoholic. And perhaps your character has just
been diagnosed with diabetes. As you can see, what is considered a vice
will depend largely on your character's situation.

What are your character's pet peeves? Sometimes a person's pet peeve can
give you insight into their personality, and what things are important to
them. For example one of my biggest pet peeves is people who say things
like "the floor needs swept" or "the dishes need washed". From this, you
can tell that grammar is important to me (and a good thing, too, or I would
have a hard time of it as a writer!) If I had a character whose biggest pet
peeve was having a pair of slacks without creases, what would that tell
you?

What is your character's typical daily schedule like? Unless your story is
the sort that will completely disrupt the character's life and put everything
in limbo, you're going to have to weave your tale around this schedule. It
wouldn't hurt to know what it is.

What is your character's strong point? Every story involves hardship, and
your character will need a way to survive this hardship. Usually, this
involves the character's strong personality strength, or plays off of that
strength somehow. Scarlett O'Hara survived Gone With the Wind because
of her strength of will, her single-minded determination to get what she
wanted. What is your character's strength?

What is your character's middle name? How does he/she feel about it?
Some people are embarrassed by their middle names, other people are
proud of them, even preferring them to their first names. Does your
character routinely use a middle initial?

What about a nickname? Does your character want to be called Bill, or

William B Holladay the Third? Sometimes you can tell quite a bit about
someone by what their friends call them.

Integroty:
"To thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou
canst not then be false to any man." - William Shakespeare, 1564-1616

To give real service you must add something which cannot be bought or
measured with money, and that is sincerity and integrity. --Douglas
Adams
Integrity has no need of rules. --Albert Camus
Honesty is the cornerstone of all success, without which confidence and
ability to perform shall cease to exist. --Mary Kay Ash
Real integrity is doing the right thing, knowing that nobody's going to
know whether you did it or not. --Oprah Winfrey
The greatest homage we can pay to truth is to use it. Ralph Waldo
Emerson

Ethics are the bases on which long-term success is built. Success, and
promotions are all fleeting, however what lasts forever is good solid
character,and integrity.
Integrity is defined as the adherence to moral and ethical principles.
Integrity is, therefore, the result of strong ethics Your actions reveal your
integrity. Copying homework assignments may get good daily grades, but
when the test
comes it catches the person unprepared and they are set up for failure
Copying homework assignments allow for one to slide for a while, but
when the test comes it catches the person unprepared and thus failure is
the result.

Developing integrity requires internal honesty, because we cant be honest

with others unless we are honest with ourselves. It requires self awareness,
since we cannot accurately communicate what we do not know.

People of integrity can be counted on to stand up for what it right, even if it

is unpopular, and to behave with honor even when there is no one around
to see. Integrity allows other people to trust us because they know that we
value our commitments and seek to live by them.

The Dreamer in us all must have substance.

We must feed our dreaming selves correctly, Dreamer will be strong to
face, and deal with challenges. Dreamer will have use his gift of choice
wisely, will have character which will be Dreamer's wings to success in
fulfilling the Dreams.

Chapter 9

The Friends

Do you remeber the tv show Friends? It was so funny. I do enjoy many of

the repeats. I think it was so popular, because it reminded us of ourselves,
or others we have known, or currently know in many ways.No matter
what the Friends were still friends. True friends will disagree, and get mad
at each other, but will come back to each other. True friends are like a rare
jewel, so treasure them

We are not an island to ourselves. We in a sence do need others. One of the

worse punishments is solitare, where absolutely no human contact except
for feeding and that through a door. Being in the solitary cell, or season of

life does something to us emotionally, mentally, and I believe pschycaly, if I

am spelling that word right:).

Solitary Confinement - aka Imprisoned alone

Lonely Madness: The Effects of Solitary Confinement and Social Isolation
on Mental and Emotional Health

Carly Frintner

I began to research the effects of solitary confinement on prisoners'

behavior while thinking about the ways in which we isolate ourselves from
others, or are isolated by others in our daily lives. I cherish and am very
protective of my own chosen moments of solitude, but I also know that
long periods of time alone can send me into a depressive state, or make me
feel like I'm going crazy. More specifically, a kind of panic sets in when I
realize I'm alone with my thoughts with no one to affirm or deny the
validity of what I'm thinking. When I'm by myself for too long, I start to
question my own understanding of realityof who I really am and what
the world is really like. I need interactions with other people because they
are such a significant part of how I understand and enjoy my life and my
reason for living. All people seem to depend on varying amounts and
intensities of social interaction to keep them happy, stable, and sane.

This is not surprising given that human beings are social animals by
nature.
Human beings are also naturally curious. Drastically reducing the amount
of "normal social interaction, of reasonable mental stimulus, of exposure to

the natural world, of almost everything that makes life human and
bearable, is emotionally, physically, and psychologically destructive" (2)
because it denies us the ability to ask questions and seek reasons and
information to form explanations that allow us to understand ourselves as
well as our world and our place and purpose in the world. It is logical that
we feel less stable and secure overall when the things that our brain and
body rely on to connect to and understand our surroundings are taken
away from us.
In class, we have occasionally discussed how we check in with other people
to get an understanding of ourselves. In one extreme example, we recalled
a final scene of the movie "A Beautiful Mind" in which Professor John Nash
asked a student to verify that there was a man standing there talking to
him. Because Nash's schizophrenia often caused him to hallucinate, he
relied on other people to assure him what he was seeing was not just his
own reality, but the reality of the world (including other people). We all do
this to a certain degree, though probably to check much less subtle
information than whether a person is or is not actually a hallucination.
Out of the more than 20,000 prisoners in the United States, about 2% are
currently living in "super maximum security ("supermax") facilities or
units. Prisoners in these facilities typically spend their waking and sleeping
hours locked in small, sometimes windowless, cells sealed with solid steel
doors. A few times a week they are let out for showers and solitary exercise
in a small, enclosed space. Supermax prisoners have almost no access to
educational or recreational activities or other sources of mental stimulation
and are usually handcuffed, shackled and escorted by two or three
correctional officers every time they leave their cells. Assignment to
supermax housing is usually for an indefinite period that may continue for
years." (2)
I have sometimes gone for hours and even days with very minimal human
contact. As a result, I experienced anxiety, depression, and a feeling of
being disconnected from the world around me, even though I had

complete freedom to go wherever I wanted. Prisoners who are isolated for

prolonged periods of time have been known to experience "depression,
despair, anxiety, rage, claustrophobia, hallucinations, problems with
impulse control, and/or an impaired ability to think, concentrate, or
remember." (2)Studies have also shown that isolation can cause "impaired
vision and hearing... tinnitus [(ringing in the ears)], weakening of the
immune system, amenorrhea [(absence of menstrual periods in women)],
premature menopause... and aggressive behavior in prisoners, volunteers
and animals." (1)
Previously healthy prisoners have "develop[ed] clinical symptoms usually
associated with psychosis or severe affective disorders"(2) including "all
types of psychiatric morbidity." (4) Many have committed suicide.

Individuals do vary in how well they can deal with living in isolation,
however. (4) For prisoners with pre-existing mental or emotional disorders,
living without normal human interaction, physical and mental activity and
stimulation can aggravate their symptoms to levels equivalent to torture.
(2), (3) In one complaint filed against the Connecticut Department of
Correction in August 2003, social isolation and sensory deprivation drove
some prisoners to "lash out by swallowing razors, smashing their heads
into walls or cutting their flesh." (3)
It is difficult if not impossible to pinpoint the exact reasons why social
isolation and sensory deprivation in solitary confinement situations causes
mental and emotional breakdown in prisoners. However, in addition to the
stimuli and interactions they are denied, we might also consider how
people's minds are affected by others controlling every aspect of their lives,
from where they are and how long they will be there to how much food
they get and when, to light and noise levels, to what possessions they are
allowed to have, to when or if their clothes, bedding and rooms are
cleaned, to when and if they get to have fresh air.

How does the absolute denial of freedom, the denial of any kind of
personal power or influence over one's life, affect the way he thinks, feels
and acts? Certainly the impact is different for each person. But are there
patterns across cultures and time in how slaves, prisoners, people living
under a dictator, and children grounded by their parents react similarly to
the denial of freedom? Are the patterns in reactions solely human, or do
they extend to other animals, for instance, animals that are caged or
otherwise restricted in pet stores, zoos or circuses? Do all animals,
including human beings, feel and understand injustice on some level and
therefore react to it similarly? Or are humans reduced to more
stereotypically animalistic behavior when they are trapped and controlled?
"In some states, the conditions are so extreme-e.g., lack of windows, denial
of reading material, a maximum of three hours a week out-of-cell time, lack
of outdoor recreation-that they can only be explained as reflecting an
unwillingness to acknowledge the inmates' basic humanity." (2) Can people
retain their humanity without the constant affirmation of their humanity
through positive contact with other human beings? How do human beings'
behaviors and thought processes shift when the human beings around
them refuse to accept their shared humanity?
I am thinking more about the brain's needs based on my research on this
particular topic. The physical, mental and emotional effects of living in
solitary confinement seem to be beyond the control of the person
experiencing them.
It seems that the brain needs a certain quantity, quality, or type of stimuli
to help regulate, direct and prioritize thought processes and other brain
functions properly. It could mean that without certain (or enough) stimuli,
the level of random activity in the nervous system increasessuch as brain
activity that causes hallucinations.
When inputs are all coming from the same place, parts of the unconscious
experience the same inputted information differently because they are all
interpreting the information with different randomness. The randomness

helps us make connections between sets of inputted information and our

own prior knowledge to ultimately create a story that explains our
situation and surroundings. This story informs the "I"-function, which
allows us to experience and understand the situation/surroundings
personally. (5)
In an environment with very minimal stimulation, such as a prison cell, the
randomness with which the unconscious explores the environment
continues, although it is unclear whether randomization increases when
fewer stimuli are reaching the brain. Perhaps the brain attempts to
compensate for stimuli it is missing by creating stimuli of its own, that is,
by increasing random activity. Either way, when the brain is not receiving
much input from the environment, there is little information based in
reality that the unconscious can focus on or try to interpret. The story
reported back to the "I"-function is more likely informed by more random
connections than real facts about reality because reality is not offering
enough stimuli to make a coherent story. This helps explain why people
often experience mental and emotional breakdowns and psychotic
episodes when in solitary confinement for extended periods of time.

Big or small, it's actions that seem to count the most in friendship. In a time
when we can chat effortlessly by text and IM, talk is getting cheaper. Many

of you believe that the evidence of true friends is what they do to show
their loyalty, honesty, trustworthiness, or willingness to make a sacrifice
when you need help.

On Facebook, says Paul, the term friend is a technical term, really a

contact. You have the right to send your friends a message, but the use is
hardly relational. Of course a friend is more suggestive and appealing than
a contact. Some people boast about the number of friends they have, even
if they dont have personal relationship with them.
In the U.S., says Paul, we tend to confuse friends and acquaintances. We
find it cold to say acquaintance or colleague or even comrade, which
we associate with communism. People in other parts of the world dont
hesitate to differentiate those they merely know and those theyd count as
friends.
A true friend is . . .
What is a friend? A single soul in two bodies. Aristotle
You can have a lot of acquaintances, but only a few people will become
your best friends. These are kindred spirits, much like David and Jonathan,
whose souls were knit together. Friendships like this will endure, even
though the intensity of the friendship will ebb and flow over time.
One of the dangers in this kind of friendship is co-dependency. The sheer
delight of having such a friend can also create weighty expectations in the
relationship. A good question for friends to ask regularly is, Are we truly
seeking the other persons highest good?
A true friend stabs you in the front. Oscar Wilde
Leave it to Oscar Wilde to lay out an important truth with such wry
humor. A true friend is one who helps you see the truth, even if it hurts.
This doesnt mean we can go around stabbing our friends with hurtful

words. Rather, it means being up front with friends about important issues,
raising gentle questions with tact and love, never gossiping or putting
them down to others behind their backs.
I do not wish to treat friendships daintily, but with the roughest courage.
When they are real, they are not glass threads or frost-work, but the
solidest thing we know. Ralph Waldo Emerson
Real friendships dont just happen, and they arent maintenance free. Ask
yourself and your friend questions like these:

Friends of The Dreamer, have been few and far between.

One good friend invited Dreamer to their home, treated Dreamer to a spa,
meals, and helped dreamer prepare for an oppotunity of a life time. Not
many would think of doing this. Dreamer did not ask for al of this, but the
Friend went above and beyond.
There have been times yes the Friend had chewed Dreamer out for wrong
choices, which really hurt, and maybe how the Friend did this was not
right. Truth sometimes hurt. A true Friend tells you like it is, and does not
col,or coat things. However sometimes we are like the Dreamer, and are
not ready for the truth, or somone to tell it like it is.

III. Conclusion

Many have dreams, vision within them, however; not all fulfill them. It
takes courage, and like a pregnant mother there is pain in the process of
both developing, and birthing one's dreams. They are personal to us, a part
of who we are. There is a saying; Without vision(Dreams,Purpose) people

parish. There is truth. I believe many pass before their time due to
depression, and existing in a unfulfilled life.

Choices- We will have choices to make that no one can m ake for us. There
are consequences for our choices. Many will be hard, but we find it was the
right one to make.

Challenges- Mountains, storms, obstacles will be on our journey.

Never panic. If one wants to fly, one must never panic.

Focus- It is vital one keeps focused, but not obsessed. Remember we have
other responsibilities, and people in our lives too. If you find yourself being
distracted, step back.Re focus.

Character- is your foundation to the life of success. How some discribe, or

think of success is not success, it is just called aquiring stuff. Having a lot of
fancy stuff does not make you a success.

Balance- seek balance in all you do. Just maybe some of the stress, and
chaos is the result of lack of balance in one's life.

Ban the word I can't- The truth is you do not want bad enough to take
action, or work. If you believe you cannot, than you never will.

Affirm yourself, do not look to others. Affirmations are powerful once you
begin to use, and believe them.

Patience truly is a virtue. I am now currently awaiting to hear if I will

interview with two carriers, so I can begin again. It is a challenge when
you want something so bad. When others get, and succeed. For you it
seems forever, or not to be. I understand.
Persistence is what keeps me going, something in me will not let me quit.

Now what about you?

Goal setting

In flying toward your dreams, begin to set goals. Most often it is not a NON
STOP journey. Tips in setting goals-

Career What do you see yourself doing?, What do you really love doing,
or what do you want to achieve?

Financial How much do you want to earn, by what stage?

Education What information and skills will you need to have in order to
achieve your dreams? What truly interests you?

Family Do you want to be a parent? Have you discussed this with your
partner, mate? Why do you want to be a parent?
Artistic Are you creative, artistic? Do you have a passion for
writing,drawing,or making?
Attitude Is any part of your mindset holding you back? Is there any part
of the way that you behave that upsets you? (If so, set a goal to improve
your behavior or find a solution to the problem.)

Health How are you feeding your body? Food is fuel for the body. Are
you filling up on the right stuff? ( I need work still on this too.) I like
food,enjoy tasting steak,potatoes,fries,ice cream. I also enjoy
brokley, salads, fruits, and healthy juices. I have diet coke, but only 1 or two
cans a day. I am aiming at no soda except at a restraunt when out.
Are there any athletic goals that you want to achieve, or do you want good
health deep into old age? What steps are you going to take to achieve this?

Hobbies How do you want to enjoy yourself? (You should ensure that
some of your life is for you!) What do you find yourself most doing on time
of?

Service Do you want to make the world a better place? If so, how?
Life is not about us. Jesus declared of Himself His purpose was to serve,
not be served. His purposed not to live a self absorbd, selfish life.

Is it my Time yet? I have journeyed so far. Paid a high price. Shed the
tears Gave my all. Is it my time yet To be called To be chosen Many are
called, few are chosen This saying is true Is it my time yet Oh is my
dream just a fantasy? There is a difference in dream, and fantasy Seems
like so much to overcome To stand out in the right way Is it my time yet
I am crazy or insane To try again So many TBNTs in 2013 Yet I feel my
heart drawn again Try
again

Is it my time yet?

Before I share a new poem, I want to share what I wrote on a site of mine.
Take it as you wish,or think abotu it, and ask is there any truth in this?

The Offended Club

I have to write on this. Today we live in a world were many must be

politically correct,as we do not want to offend.I understand having class,
respect, etc, but come on how we have become so many adult children. We
in the US complain about almost anything The last thing I want to talk
about is the removal of words in society because they offend people.
People are not supposed to say fireman because that is sexist. The
Washington Redskins team and logo is racist and offends people (even
though Indians helped come up with the name and logo). These things are
made to be a huge deal when its really nothing. The term Merry Christmas
also seems to tick many off. Funny it did not a generation or two ago, nor

did prayer in schools, a few generations ago.NO I do not advocate things,

beliefs be shoved down our mouths. However what about us who are
offended by those who are so easily offended? Smoking, ok I understand
the need to removing smoking from indoors in many places, but omyg
from parks, where there is sky, and air. Have you heard of walking away
from a smoker in the park. Ok It is bad for health, and so are many , many
other things. It is sad more, and more of our human rights , of choices is
being taken away, and decided on by those who think they can make better
choices for our lives then us. I say BUD OUT. Yes smoking should not be
done with kids near by, yes smokers need to use their heads, some do any
ways. Respect. However if you do not smoke, please we are adults, do not
go making laws for us. UGH Sometimes it can feel like thou shalt, thou
shalt not of the day. My point is we are feeding the anger of today by
allowing ourselves to e offended over really minute things.
