Kevin Trudeaus Fast Track to Free Money
WELCOME

Free money! Free money? For most of us, we hear those words and we feel excitement,
yet our human nature quickly questions it. Free money? Can it be true? Yes, it really is. Over
$300 billion dollars are given to people just like you in the form of grants and low cost loans
from the United States government, state governments, and private foundations. There are
thousands and thousands of grants out there, and thousands and thousands of people every year
receive this money. What is the difference between those people and you? What do they know
that you dont? Absolutely nothing!
Mostly EVERYONE has a skill or a trade that could capitalize on these grants. You could
be an engineer, a farmer, or a business owner. There are grants available for you. You may be a
woman or a minority. There are MANY grants available to you. The beauty of grants: It is money
that you do NOT have to pay back ever.
You may have noticed that there is not a grant that calls itself free money or an agency
named Grants R Us. If only it were as cut and dried as that. But grants are real and real people
get them every day. Why did the guy across the street from you receive a grant and you did not?
Merely because he spent the time to research and apply. Simple as that.
Because there are so many grants out there, most folks can feel slightly overwhelmed
trying to locate and sift through all the information. Thats why Kevins team decided to do the
leg work for you! The time consuming research has already been done for you by our staff,
saving you thousands of hours. This fantastic Fast Track to Free Money compilation is another
cure to your debt woes and to hasten you along the path to wealth creation!
2

This is the perfect time to take advantage of the thousands of free money programs.
Always wanted to start a business? You can! Already a small business owner looking to expand?
You can! The types of grants are as unique as you are!
Many people think they have to be low-income to qualify for a government grant. That
is not the case at all. Some of the wealthiest people in our country have applied for and received
government grants. Others may worry about their credit report and wonder if a bad credit score
will affect their ability to get a grant. NO! Absolutely everyone is able to apply for grant money.
Your credit rating does not matter at all. You do not have to repay the money so the credit score
is meaningless in this situation!
Approximately 20 million people get a piece of the government pie of grants, plus there
are millions who benefit from the private foundation grants. It is time that you join the number of
Americans getting funding to help you on the way to your dreams. Fast Track to Free Money can
help you take advantage of what is available. Whether you are a Montana rancher or a single
mom in Chicago, Kevins staff has compiled the most lucrative grants here for you in one place.
Remember that I am not an attorney, a financial planner, or an accountant. Im also not a
fairy godmother or a fortune teller with a crystal ball. There are no guarantees in this life, but I
can without a doubt guarantee you that you will not receive one thin dime, let alone any more
than that, if you dont apply for these grants. Just like I said in the book, you never know unless
you ask. Millions of people every year get this money. Millions more dont, because they dont
know to ask. Which group do you want to belong to?
Kevins Fast Track to Free Money gives you access to numerous official applications to
send in for free government money now. Weve also included Fast Track listings of the best
private foundations granting tremendous amounts of money this year. Youll learn the restrictions
3

and requirements for each grant. The tiresome sorting through the thousands and thousands of
grants is already done since the enclosed CD-Rom puts it right at your fingertips. And making life
even easier for you, all the documents and applications are easily identified in blue you just
click and the link will take you to that page.
All you have to do is enter your information. There are examples of winning grants
included that you can follow and use a guideline. Submit your applications to get the free money
youre entitled to receive.
You simply need to read carefully and follow the application instructions. Be sure to fill
out the paperwork completely and accurately. Each grant will have its own form (or forms) to
submit. Depending upon the agency and the grant, you may be asked for a budget or a business
plan. If you have questions, do not hesitate to contact the agency with your particular situation.
The contact information for each grant is provided in the Fast Track to Free Money.
Grants have different requirements. Some may have a cutoff date and all approved
applicants received by the deadline will receive a portion of the total funds available. Some
grants may dole out the cash on a first-come, first-served basis. Other grants may only give the
money to one worthy candidate. Each agency handles their grants in their own way and each
pays out in their own time. And if you missed the deadline, you will have to wait until the next
grant cycle to apply.
Sometimes a person may read a grant and feel a wee bit anxious; if you feel intimidated
by paperwork, you are not alone. It can appear scary when really, it is not; and never fear,
Kevins team is here to ease your worries. There are a lot of free online tools and help available
to you, and our staff has compiled those for you. Many web sites have sample grant proposals
and letters that can be useful when you are drafting your grant. No two grants are alike, but
4

seeing how to do it can make all the difference. It can save you hours of time and hours of
unnecessary stress. As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words; having a sample to
follow makes your process a thousand times easier, and who knows, could bring in thousands of
dollars.
Perhaps a logical place to start is www.grants.gov. The website has a Tutorial that
promises to teach you everything you need to know (what is the old phrase, every thing you
ever wanted to know, but were afraid to ask) about grants.gov and how to use their web site,
which is probably the most comprehensive place for government grants. The website also
includes a Training Demonstration to walk you through the entire grant and application
process, from start to finish. Its almost like the teacher is right there in the room with you.
Technology can be a wonderful thing, dont you agree?
Non-profit Guides (http://www.npguides.org/) offers tools for your grant writing for free.
Free is also a wonderful thing. Although this site is geared to assist non-profits in their quest for
grants, the information is useful to anyone in the grant writing process. The author of the site was
a professional grant writer and provides pages and pages of helpful hints on how to organize and
prepare the entire grant package. Skim through this advice before sitting down to prepare your
own grant application, and review the sample proposals.
Help can come from just about anywhere. The web site for Catalog of Federal Domestic
Assistance (http://12.46.245.173/pls/portal30/catalog.GRANT_PROPOSAL_DYN.show) features a
section on writing grants. You do not have to be seeking a grant from them to benefit from the
information provided. Common sense instructions like: Proposals should be typed, collated,
5

copied, and packaged correctly and neatly (according to agency instructions, if any) cannot be
overlooked when preparing any grant proposal. Agencies can be picky. Some may want your
pages stapled; some may not. If you do not follow their directions, they do not have to look at
your request.
Foundation Center Virtual Classroom (http://fdncenter.org/learn/classroom/) offers some
free and some cheap online classes. They also offer free classroom training (some in Spanish) at
their various locations. The website has a wealth of free information as well. For example, a
cover letter should not exceed one page. If you have to submit a budget, it too should not be
more than one page. In addition to grant writing basics (and specifics), the site offers reference
guides and resource lists for individual grant seekers.
All About Grants Tutorials (http://www.niaid.nih.gov/ncn/grants/default.htm) is designed
for researchers for this specific grant project, but the advice given may be a good resource for any
type of research. Another grant writing guide that may prove useful even if you are not into
research is http://www.theresearchassistant.com/tutorial/index.asp). The website for the
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (http://grantstraining.samhsa.gov/)
has a webcast discussing tips for writing grant applications.
Many universities are sources of grants (they give the money) so they have websites to
explain their procedures. For example, University of Michigan offers a guide for writing
proposals. It is geared for first time writers so even if you are not an academic, you may find
http://www.research.umich.edu/proposals/PWG/pwgcomplete.html provides some helpful
advice. Another education site, schoolgrants.org (http://www.k12grants.org/tips.htm) offers tips
6

and includes sample proposals. Dont think that if you are not a school teacher that you cant
learn anything from these sites. Not true. In fact, wasnt it our teachers who taught us that we
learn something new every day, and often in the most unexpected places!
To review more samples of grant applications and to check out additional resources, take
a look at http://www.smallbusinessnotes.com/financing/grants/grantsamples.html. Also, another
source for good guidelines is http://www.proposalwriter.com/grantsamples.html#Samples. This
website offers a wealth of information and is worth a few minutes of your time.
Taking a peek at these sites can provide ideas and tips, and links to other useful
information. The EPA grant writing tips page (http://www.epa.gov/ogd/recipient/tips.htm) offers
the best piece of advice that I can give you: Grant Writing Rule #1 Before you begin writing,
you must believe that someone wants to give you the money!
If you need help locating an agency, the government resource to help you find any federal
agency is right at your fingertips: 1-800-FED-INFO or www.pueblo.gsa.gov/call. You can refer to
http://www.piperinfo.com/state/index.cfm and http://www.statelocalgov.net/ for the information
telephone line and web site for each state.
The Fast Track information is vast, but it is simply not possible to include every grant
known to man. There are more; we just couldnt include every one here. If you didnt find a grant
that tickled your fancy, you can still find more out there. There are local grants that we dont
even know about. And new grants pop up all the time.
Sometimes people think that they need to wait until they hear back from one grant before
applying for another. There is no need to wait. You can apply - at the same time - for as many
7

grants as you qualify. Its like playing the lottery; the more you enter, the more chances you have
of getting some cash back. So what are you waiting for?
As always, we love hearing your success stories. Please send yours to
success@kevinsfreemoney.com.
Note: The information contained in this guide was compiled from many sources and we
have followed their applicant eligibility sections from the program descriptions. If you feel that
you could qualify for a certain grant, but the wording may not be clear, always contact the
specific agency. There are many, many agencies offering grants (if there was one clearing house
for all grants, then there would be no need for this Fast Track guide!), so if you have questions or
need clarification, the contact information for each grant is provided.
As we go to print, the information provided is up to date and accurate. Tomorrow that
could change. Web sites have been known to change, and occasionally a phone number will
change as well. No worries. Agencies dont disappear. Try your information directory or local
operator to get the current phone number. Sometimes a web site may have moved or sometimes
the address simply doesnt work as typed for whatever reason. Try searching for the agency name
directly and navigate their website to get to the page you want. Or try removing the words after
the slash. For example, if the web address for www.pueblo.gsa.gov/ call doesnt work, try
www.pueblo.gsa.gov. If at first you dont succeed, try, try again.
I cant snap my fingers and deliver money to your doorstep, but we here at Kevin
Trudeaus Free Money have done the next best thing. It is our pleasure to present you Fast Track
to Free Money.
To your success!
