The Research Work is on the Construction Equipment Business. The purpose of the study is
to find out the Potential and position of Suppliers working environment and to know aout
the overall financial health and capailities of the Suppliers across the country. Specifically!
the research o"ectives are to#

$ To know and analy%e the financial crisis of the company using accounting ratios.
$ Sales done so far y the suppliers.
$ Safety measures taken up y the suppliers to avoid any future contingencies like

&CB was founded y &oseph Cyril Bamford in ;ctoer (786
in 9tto,eter! Staffordshire! England. <e rented a lock)up garage (2 feet y (6 feet. +n it!
using a welding set which he ought second)hand for =( from English Electric! he made his
first vehicle! a tipping trailer from war)surplus materials. The trailer-s sides and floor were
made from steel sheet that had een part of air)raid shelters. ;n the same day as his son
3nthony was orn! he sold the trailer at a neary market for =86 0plus a part)e,changed
farm cart1 and at once made another trailer. 3t one time he made vehicles in Eckersley-s coal
yard in 9tto,eter.
+n (78>! si, people were working for the company! and it made the first hydraulic tipping
trailer in Europe. +n (76/! it moved to an old cheese factory in Rocester! still employing si,.
3 year later! he egan painting his products yellow. +n (76.! his first ackhoe loader was
launched! and the &CB logo appeared for the first time. +t was designed y ?ery *edia and
advertising designer @eslie Smith. +n (76A! the firm launched the Bhydra)diggaB!
incorporating the e,cavator and the ma"or loader as a single all)purpose tool useful for the
agricultural and construction industries.
+n (7C/! &CB-s hydraulic tractors entered the 4orth 3merican market! proving a long)lasting
success. &CB ecame! and still is! the rand leader in the world. By (7C8! &CB had sold over

Ehere any cheque drawn 8y a person on an account maintained 8y him with a
8anker for payment of any amount of money to another person from out of that
account for the discharge( in whole or in part( of any de8t or other lia8ility( is returned
8y the 8ank unpaid( either 8ecause of the amount of money standing to the credit of
that account is insufficient to honor the cheque or that it e6ceeds the amount
arranged to 8e paid from that account 8y an agreement made with that 8ank( such
person shall 8e deemed to ha#e committed an offence and shall without prejudice to
any other pro#isions of this ,ct( 8e punished with imprisonment for TRa term which
may e6tend to two yearRS( or with fine which may e6tend to twice the amount of the
cheque( or with 8oth.
Pro#ided that nothing contained in this section shall apply unless4
CaD +he cheque has 8een presented to the 8ank within a period of si6 months from
the date on which it is drawn or within the period of its #alidity( whiche#er is earlier*
C8D +he payee or the holder induce course of the cheque( as the case may 8e( makes
a demand for the payment of the said amount of money 8y gi#ing a notice( in writing(
to the drawer( of the cheque( TRwithin thirty daysRS of the receipt of information 8y him
from the 8ank regarding the return of the cheques as unpaid( and

money to the payee or( as the case may 8e( to the holder in due course of the
cheque( within fifteen days of the receipt of the said notice*
