Sophisticated Analytical Instrument Facility (SAIF), formerly known as
Regional Sophisticated Instrumentation Centre-RSIC, at CSIR-Central rug
Research Institute, !ucknow has "een pro#iding e$cellent analytical ser#ice
for the last %& years and is one of the first four such facilities set up "y the
Department of Science & Technology (DST), 'o#ernment of India in
mid se#enties( )he concept of the SAIF at Central rug Research Institute
e#ol#ed around the regional needs of scientists and research personnel
engaged in the research area of chemical and "iological sciences( )he
sophisticated instruments at the centre ha#e "een updated from time to
time, keeping pace with the ad#ancement of science and technology and the
re*uirements of the users(
Objective of Workshop

)he proposed workshop will pro#ide a good opportunity to e$perience the
state-of-the-art +S and ,+R techni*ues and initiate li#ely discussion among
#eteran research scientists, academicians and "udding researchers to share
their knowledge in the frontier areas of chemical sciences( )he "eginners will
get a chance to familiari-e themsel#es with +S and ,+R techni*ues and gain
confidence "y o"ser#ing their applications and data interpretation as done in
real situations( )his .orkshop will focus on the small molecules using +S
and ,+R techni*ues( )otal num"er of participants will "e /& only, and
