RWS rimre cartridges have been competition winners
for many years, successful at Olympic, International,
Championships and Club levels. Competitors world-
wide know that using R100 or R50 will give them the
extra needed for a podium nish.
Not a bad batch: RWS rimre ammunition
A characteristic of target shooting is that no two barrels
are identical therefore, RWS rimre calibre cartridges
are available in various types. Despite the use of the
best materials and greatest care during production
there will always be slight differences, which inu-
ence the accuracy of a shot. The tolerances within in
a manufacturing batch of ammunition are extremely
low but there are microscopic differences from batch
to batch. The accuracy of the RWS smallbore ammuni-
tion and the minimal differences from batch to batch
- only noticeable when shooting - enable the right
ammunition for each barrel to be found. Therefore,
experienced shooters have always selected the best
RWS ammunition for their rie barrel from different
batches. When they have found the correct batch they
stock up in sufcient quantity to avoid testing for some
time. Following this practice of the top shooters will
enable everyone to nd the right ammunition for their
rie and thus improve their shooting performance.
Small rimre information
With centrere cartridges the primer is centred in the
primer pocket of the cartridge base and is linked to
the propellant. With rimre cartridges, however, the
priming compound is pressed right into the rim of the
base, therefore the name rimre.

The highest priority for RWS has always been to produce top quality
branded products. Manufactured using the most modern technol-
ogy and streamlined production processes from initial concept to
nal quality assurance it is evident that, even with the small rimre
cartridge, that reliability and accuracy are paramount. To achieve
this high level of performance all the components must t together
perfectly. For example:
The bullet: its shape is perfectly
developed and has a direct inuence
on the accuracy and the at trajectory.
By lubricating the bullet lead deposits
in the barrel can be avoided. The bullet
ensures the ideal ballistic characteristics
and low wind sensitivity.
The powder: must ignite immediately and burn evenly so that the
same pressure is applied to every shot, therefore achieving identical
trajectories.
The precision in loading:
The quantity of powder has to be exact and should not vary in the
slightest otherwise the know-how and care invested by the experts
in cartridge development and production would be wasted.

Fascination biathlon
RWS aims to win
No other sport shooting discipline generates more
interest within the media than the biathlon during
winter. In combination with physically demanding
cross country skiing this sport is gaining in popularity.
The shooting stops form the most spectacular appear-
ances of the biathletes during the competition. In the
midst of their cross country run they stop to re several
shots at a distance of 50m.
It is hard to imagine how exact the physical and
chemical reactions of both ammunition and system of
the biathlon rie must be in order to hit the target
accurately. What is said in general terms under the
heading of rimre cartridges also applies here.
However, the demand of biathletes for more precise
and consistent ammunition is much higher than that
of most target shooters. Biathletes can never be sure
what wind and weather conditions they will encounter
but at least they need not worry about the ammuni-
tion when using RWS R 100. The materials used, the
velocity and the arising gas pressure have been ne-
tuned so that in all weathers an excellent result can
be achieved. Even in extreme sub zero temperatures a
faultless function is guaranteed and enables outstand-
ing performance.
During Winter training the RWS Rie Match S is best
suited as the performance of this cartridge is also not
impaired by cold weather.

RWS airgun pellets are characterized by their particu-
larily skilful material composition, the special surface
nish and optimized weight. This guarantees outstand-

All RWS Match pellets are produced in the classic
diabolo shape. Head design, tail section and the
special form of pellet head plate are decisive factors
for the optimum stabilisation of the pellet in the barrel
and therefore also for sharply punched holes. Tight

pistol is decisive for the success of the target shooter.
Therefore the requirements placed on the precision
of competition barrels and ammunition are high,
especially as each barrel has its own characteristics.
Consequently it is important to match the competition
barrel with different batches of ammunition, in order

to select the ideal target ammunition. We offer an
unique service to our dealers to synchronise their
clients weapons with the most suited RWS ammuni-
tion.
Ideal conditions:
The test shooting range is indoors and the results are
not inuenced by the weather. Five separate lanes
equipped with target transport systems and electronic
targeting system are available, and testing is possible
from the stock or by clamping the barrel at distances
of 10, 15, 25 and 50 meters.
The following sport weapons can be tested:
Air ries
Air pistols and CO
2
pistols
Pistols cal. .22lr, .32 S&W long
Smallbore ries: .22 LR
RWS test shooting range
The ammunition is included in the low user charge.
Qualied expert staff supervise the tests and provide
helpful advice.
You can test:
RWS R 50 and R 100 as well as Special Match,
Super Pistol 250, Pistol C25 and Pistol Match
RWS R 10 Match
There are two ways in which an order can be handled:
The shooter either comes to the test shooting range
in person, or she/he can have the guns sent to us
through a dealer.
Shooters coming from outside Germany will have to
have made prior arrangements with their dealer and
appropriate imported before orders can be accepted.
The usage fee per weapon and the invoice for the
products to be supplied will be delivered to the dealer
in accordance with the general terms and conditions
of sale and delivery.
Use the RWS test shooting range to be equipped to
the best technical standards.
