Background
Currently a sophomore student at Southern Methodist University pursuing a degree in Journalism with a minor in
Applied Sports Marketing and Management. I am interested in pursuing a career in journalism, sports
management, or writing and am seeking an internship or position that would provide me with exposure and
experience in any of these areas.
Work Experience
Coach/Gym Director at Legarza Basketball Camps Summer and Winter Breaks from 2010-2013
Served as a coach and gym director at a youth basketball camp with several locations. Worked both morning
and afternoon sessions and attended several mandatory coaches/staff training classes.
Salesperson at Pac-Sun Outfitters June 2012-September 2012
Worked in retail as both a salesperson and cashier at Pacific Sun Outfitters
Education & Training
Saint Ignatius College Preparatory August 2008-May 2012
A member of the Saint Ignatius College Preparatory High School graduating class of 2012
Southern Methodist University August 2012-
Currently an undergraduate student at SMU and am expected to graduate in May 2016.
USPA (U.S. Performing Arts) June 2011-July 2011
Attended USPAs acting and college audition workshops during the summer of 2011. Received hands on
training from professional actors, screenwriters, and college audition monitors. Received specific training from
Richard Greene for role in the camps condensed production of Macbeth.
ACT (American Conservatory Theater) July 2011-August 2011
Received training in linguistics (accents and speech class), clowning, musical theater, and acting.
Sports Experience & Other Skills
Sports: Member of several high school sports teams including football (3 years quarterback, tight end, and
defensive end) and basketball (1 year). Also have extensive knowledge of and interest in all sports including,
but not limited to: baseball, golf, tennis, soccer, track and field, and hockey.
Acting & Writing: During the second semester of junior year of high school, transitioned from sports to theater.
Earned lead roles in three productions at Saint Ignatius: Alfred P. Doolittle in My Fair Lady, John Proctor in The
Crucible, and Coach Benny Van Buren in Damn Yankees. Also published poems, short stories, and wrote for
