BEST IELTS Study Notes In The Market

All my students will get my study notes that consist of:

1. Strategies on how to approach various Academic Writing Task 1 question
types: Line Graphs, Bar Graphs, Pie Charts, Tables, Diagrams, Maps.
2. Strategies on how to approach various Writing Task 2 essay types: Opinion,
Discussion, Causes, Problems & Solutions, Advantages & Disadvantages.
3. Model Phrases you can use to help you to write your Task 1 and 2 papers.

This is the most valuable part of my notes. These phrases are
extremely detailed with explanations on how to use them and examples
of their use. This is the area my students love the most as it has helped
them gain confidence in their writing. These phrases help you to:
Write the introduction paragraph for all question types in both tasks
Write the conclusion paragraph for all question types in both tasks
Write the body paragraphs for all question types in both tasks:
o Describe Trends
o Make Comparisons
o Start discussion
o Link clauses
o Add similar ideas
o Add contrasting ideas
o Add examples
o Explain through reason
o Explain through result
o Avoid over-generalization

4. List of vocabulary to learn for the topic areas covered in the Writing Task 2,
Speaking and Reading papers - and how to use the vocabulary properly.
5. Model arguments/ideas for Writing Task 2 Essay.
6. Model Phrases you can use to help in your Speaking exam.

What makes your study notes different from others?

Through my years of IELTS teaching, I've compiled study notes and strategies
taken from over 40 IELTS books that I've used. I have a personal English teaching
book collection of over 350 books.

If you go to a school, you'll use just one or two books. For me, I was never
satisfied with any IELTS textbook as they didn't help my students much. Therefore
I created my own IELTS study notes that is over 50 pages of solid information
taken from all the best books and resources available. I have most of the popular
IELTS books on the market and I've gone through a lot of the best IELTS materials
available on the Internet. I would guarantee that my notes are some of the best
and most detailed notes you'll find anywhere.

Individual Attention and Correction

Why should I pay for private one-to-one or small group tuition?

In a big class of 15-30 in a school, the teacher doesn't have time to give every student
individual attention. I know this because I've taught IELTS in many schools. I wasn't
able to help correct each student's mistakes because there were too many
students and not enough time. The result of this is that students would normally
repeat the same mistakes in writing and speaking because in writing the teacher can't
address every mistake of yours and in speaking you're mostly communicating with
another student and will thus copy each other's mistakes.

In my one-to-one or small group (maximum 4 students) tuition, I am able to give more
personal attention to each student and help each improve more than he/she could in a
big class.

Does it make a difference if you specialise in teaching IELTS?

I've been teaching IELTS for 5 years. Almost all my present students are IELTS
students. I love teaching IELTS. All this means that I've had extensive experience in the
IELTS.

If you're serious about doing well in the IELTS, you need to have a teacher that
specialises in the IELTS. It's not good enough to have an English teacher. There are
strategies one can use to do well in the IELTS and only an experienced IELTS teacher
would be able to come up with the notes that I have.

Rates and Fees

My rate depends on the number of hours a student takes. My basic rate is S$80 per
hour. Each lesson lasts for 2 hours.

However, if the student takes at least 10 lessons (20 hours), the rate is $70 per hour. If
the student takes at least 20 lessons (40 hours), the rate is $65 per hour.

Regardless of the number of lessons one takes, fees would need to be paid on the first
day to reserve future classes.

Private 1-to-1 tuition is costly because the personal attention given to you by the teacher
means that youll learn more quickly than in a class setting.

Also, if you look around, youll find out that most schools charge between $90 to $100
per hour for private 1-to-1 lessons.
