On the 1st day of work I was asked to observe the work done at the
reception. I was also given an intro to how to use the Property
Management System of Empire, which is called Smart-In. Its a custom
made PMS for Empire made by the company Softech. It integrates all
the four lodging properties under the chain, and also all the restaurants.
It shows all the details like check-in - check outs per day, Occupancy%,
Laundry services, restaurant services, room availabilities, billings and
payments etc.

*Check the log book to see things to do.
*Check the bills generated and payments received.
*Check the occupancy %, reservations, checkouts due, and inform the
Housekeeping to check if the rooms are ready for reservations for the
day.
*Called a cab for an airport pick-up (work due from the log book)
*Sent the financial reports to the accounts department.
*Assist in check-ins and check-outs.

*Sent a package that was at the reception to a room. (From the log book)
*Check the bills generated and payments received.
*Check the occupancy %, reservations, checkouts due, and inform the
Housekeeping to check if the rooms are ready for reservations for the
day.
*Called three cabs for airport pick-ups.

*Informed housekeeping about the room.
*Informed the mechanic about the issue.
*Sent the financial reports to the accounts department.
*Assist in check-ins and check-outs.
