Abstract
The Girl Next Door (also known as Jack Ketchum's The Girl
Next Door) is a 2007 American horror film adaptation of Jack
Ketchum's 1989 novel of the same name.

The film is loosely
based on true events surrounding the torture and murder of Sylvia
Likens by Gertrude Baniszewski during the summer of 1965.
The film had a polarizing effect on film critics. On Rotten Tomatoes,
it currently holds a 67% "Fresh" rating. In
contrast, Metacritic assigns it a 29.
Stephen King said about the film, "The first authentically shocking
American film I've seen since Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer over
20 years ago. If you are easily disturbed, you should not watch this
movie. If, on the other hand, you are prepared for a long look into
hell, suburban style,The Girl Next Door will not disappoint. This is
the dark-side-of-the-moon version of Stand By Me.

Introduction

1. The Background Of The Problems
This project about The Mystery Of Ghost Story (The Girl Next Door).This
movie is the most scariest movie ever made among 25 others horror
movie. We wanted to know the factors that make this movie is scary.

2. Objective Project
To find out the mystery of classic ghost movie.
Characteristic of the best horror movie ever made.
To find out the secret of this movie.
3. The Purposes
Our group want to uncover secret of this movie and to investigate the
factor to make a best horror movie










Literature Review

Based on our research, this movie is the most horror movie among 20 horror movie that
ever made. This movie is cannot be played because it is a real tragedy. This movie only
can be search in internet because it was a classic movie.

Methodology

1) Make Survey= Our group make a survey among the students in our college
with them knowledge. With this method, our project will be full evidence and
signature from student.
2) Internet= We use internet to search information about this movie. Because
this movie is from other country.
3) Laptop= Our group use laptop for download information internet and save it
into a pendrive. We also use laptop to arrange all information in a folder.






Result

Our group has succeed to uncover secrets from this movie. We
also know the characteristic horror movie. This movie mostly is
killing scene cause this movie is the scariest movie ever made. The
other factor causes the movie is scary to watch are place, sound
effect and atmosphere.
To find out the mystery of classic ghost movie.
=The mystery of this movie is involve a man name David try to
save his cousins, Meg and Susan to avoid they killed by Ruth and
her son but he failed.
Characteristic of the best horror movie ever made.
=The characteristic of this movie are factor of the are in an old
house, killing scene between family, psychology of the actor in the
movie and sound effect is scary and always suddenly.
To find out the secret of this movie.
=The secret of this movie are about two cousins was killed by their
own family just because Meg report to a policeman about her
condition.



Discussion

Description of the research problem=We face many problems when running this
experiment. Example the are we running out of time to complete this thesis
because of daily schedule full of college activities. After that, my friend dont
enough knowledge to settle our problem. We also cannot download the video of
the project because this video is under age.





Conclusion

After we do this research at this project, this movie cannot be
watch to the under age person. The reason of the movie cannot be
watch because it is the killing scene horror movie and can make
you cannot sleep at night. We hope this project can train us to
make a horror movie in Malaysia.
