1).Setting Up Paper Space
Open the drawing and set the model space to PLAN View. Move to Paper Space by clicking on layout1 tab or by typing command window TILEMODE 0 Got To File -> Page Setup Manager. Click Modify button to open the Page setup dialog allowing to set up the layout plotter and paper size. Delete the default viewport
Go To Piping->Drawing Production -> Drawing setup, type T in command window to setup Title Block and Press Enter From the title block selection dialog displayed select the drawing border. Click OK and enter the Drawing number in DOC_Name filed of Edit Attributes dialog box.
2).Creating Work Area Work Area constitutes set of the saved xref drawings that are overlayed each other. The extension of Work area file is .RWA Got to Piping -> Drawing Production -> Work Area Setup Select New from the work area setup dialog box. A standard windows file selection displays from which select all the files that required to reference for making the drawing. Type a meaningful name in the File Name field .Click SAVE A window save dialog box appears and click save. Click DONE to close the dialog box
3).Creating Work Area Views Go to Piping -> Drawing Production -> Work Area Views In the Work Area Views dialog box select the appropriate work area file and click on add button In the view properties dialog box enter the appropriate view title and select the scale required. To create a PLAN view select TOP in the view field drop down box.See below snap
The coordinates can be typed or they can be selected by clicking on Pick button. Click OK to add the view to workarea
To create a front view see the snap below for entering data. Click OK to add the view to workarea
Click on CLOSE button to close the Work Area Views dialog box. Type regen to refresh and remove any dashed lines 4).Placing work area views in Paper Space Click on Paper space tab Layout1 Select Piping -> Drawing production -> work area views Select the required view from the list and click Insert in Drawing Select a point in the paper space to locate and place the view. The placement point would be the ghost image of the tile anchored to the crosshairs. Similarly position all the required views in the paper space. 5).Annotation and Dimensioning Set annotation preferences in from Piping->Annotation->Preferences before carrying out any annotation. To do Line number annotation select annotation style as Line No in the preferences dialog box and other options as required. These are self-explanatory then Got to Piping-> Annotation -> Line Number -> Line No. Short. Follow the prompts in the command line and place the line number label at required position Similarly use different annotation preferences as required to place different types of annotations.
