Installing PHP in IIS on Window platforms

Many of us use PHP in windows platform and transfer the data / files to
remote server. The advantage of PHP is, it works eually well in
Win platform also. There are different ways to install PHP in a
windows platform. Here is one of the way !ut this may not !e the
easiest way !ut this will give you an idea how the we! server get
"onfigured for running any s"ripts like PHP. The same te"hniue
"an !e used to run any other s"ript. This for "onfiguring IIS to
e#e"ute a s"ript !ased on different file e#tensions it re"eives.

go to Home *ire"tory ta! + at

-onfiguration. Here we are
trying to tell IIS to e#e"ute
php.e#e s"ript for all file
e#tensions of PHP.

get one window with e#isting
file e#tension and
"orresponding e#e"uta!le
appli"ations. Here we have to
add our reuired appli"ation
to the list so we have to "li"k
the /dd !utton to add our
php e#tension.

will get an window to inter
the path and e#tension. We
"an enter the path details !y
using the !rowse !utton. In
the e#tension field we will
enter .php + dot php ,. -li"k
.0 and you will see the
e#e"uta!le path added to the
list for the .php e#tension. 1ow sele"t the s"ript and e#e"uta!les on
the e#e"ute permissions. -li"k .0 and to "lose the main property
window "li"k .0 again. That2s all ..
This will configure IIS to run PHP with php file extensions.

Installing PHP% in IIS on Window platforms
Recently I have installed PHP5 and configured it run on IIS. There are
some minor changes in the configuration of IIS than the old version of PHP. Here are
some of the screen shoots to guide you on installing. Note that you have to read the part

re#uired in PHP5 is shown with out much description of the process.
