PIOMA suspended monorails are based on a locomotive
driven by a reliable high pressure engine and provided with
well-tested power hydraulics sub-assemblies. The modular
FAMAC OPTI 5000 control system enhances availability
and allows for quick diagnosis of emergencies. The tracks
are designed to bear signicant crosswise and longitudinal
forces and can be used at road headings inclined up to 30.
Diesel-powered oor railways are meant for transport of men
and materials. The subassemblies of suspended and oor
locomotives are mostly standardized and interchangeable.

PIOMA diesel track locomotives are built of a three-part body.
The main subassemblies include an engine compartment and
two locomotive driver cabins mounted on two turnable drive
carriages. As a result, the locomotive is well suited to haul sets
of cars weighing up to 150 t and does not derail at curves and
turnouts.

These monorails are provided with hydraulic drives with a
0-2 m/s stepless driving speed control and pulling forces of
32 kN and 63 kN respectively. They can operate on inclines
up to 45 where diesel systems cannot be used.
Cable driven oor railways are used for transporting heavy
compact loads on inclines up to 30. They can operate with
drives from suspended monorails and drives with a traction
force of 100 kN, both in single and double systems.
