Going by this quote, I truly believe that our inner strengths and the very best of our
capabilities are brought to light when we decide to take a step forward and willingly take on
challenges. Being a determined and disciplined individual, my father always insisted that one can
only take on challenging situations through the core values of focus, patience and perseverance.
Inspired by his thoughts, I decided to follow his ideals in life. It was these ideals which helped
me in doing complete justice to the position of Managing Committee Head at M.S Ramaiah
College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Bangalore. Serving at this position I successfully
organized several intercollegiate fests and inter-class competitions. Under my supervision, the
intercollegiate fest of 2012 saw a record turnout of 25 colleges from Bangalore and Karnataka.
On interacting with students and lecturers of participating colleges, I was gratified to learn that
the fest was a monumental success and my efforts were being praised. I also collaborated with a
fellow student and organized customized college merchandise in the form of hoodies. In order
to ensure success of the initiative, I had surveyed fellow students and lecturers to gain an insight
on their sense of style.
My management experiences during my graduation days required me to interact with
several groups of individuals and deploy my intellect to get the dead done. I developed an ability
to function as an integral part of a team, be responsible, to easily befriend people and convince
them of my opinion. I also excelled at resolving conflicts and getting people to work with each
other despite their differences. Working my way through these events, I however realized that it
was difficult for me to choose between helping someone and making a politically correct
decision. I am emotionally drawn and my emotions in some cases tend to overpower my
practical thinking abilities. Realizing this to be my weakness, I am working on adapting
corrective measures and keeping my emotions under control. With my determination, I believe I
shall soon be able to adopt a balanced approach in life.
A Global Business Operations (GBO) course from Sri Ram College of Commerce
(SRCC) at this junction of my career would provide me an excellent opportunity to develop my
abilities further. The course would allow me to delve into the world of business and gain an
upper hand in dealing with complex work like situations. This educational endeavor would
completely complement my core competencies and would equip me to utilize my expertise and
knowledge for solving a wide variety of business challenges. SRCC being among premier
business institutes in the country has an impeccable reputation for its approach of cultivating an
institution through academic coursework, case studies and its policy of self-renewal. An
admission to such a prestigious institute would not only help me in strengthening my
fundamentals but in developing a trained managerial outlook. I look forward to completing a
GBO degree at SRCC, Delhi and making my contribution to the elite field of management.
