Amy R.

Foster
33 Shale Court Northeast
Rockford, Michigan 49341
Phone: 616-443-9018

What always impresses me about her is
that she has the ability to capture a
group of middle school students when
she is teaching art classes. You can tell
the passion is there and that it rubs off
on the students in class. She is strong in
classroom management and does a
great job preparing her lessons. It is
evident that she takes time in her
preparation.
- James Alston
Principal,
Kelloggsville High School

Ms. Foster has been awarded [seven]
grants. The combination of these
grants, totaling more than $5,000 has
brought a display case, digital
photography tools, and a digital media
projector to the building and taken our
students to the Detroit Institute of Art.
As you can see, Amy adds value to the
building beyond just teaching in the
classroom.
- Tim Reeves
Principal,
Kelloggsville Middle School

Once in a great while do we meet a
young person that is on the perfect track
for their career few are naturals at
what they choose. I believe that Amy
was meant to be a teacher Amy is
organized with lessons, planning every
little detail. She is thoughtful and
caring with the students I have no
doubt that Amy will bring vitality,
professionalism, and a caring spirit to
any position.
- Adrienne DeMilner
Cooperating Teacher,
East Kentwood Freshman Campus

Since day one, she has established
herself in the classroom as a person of
authority and skill, as well as a caring
and trustworthy teacher. She is poised
and professional, calm and confident.
She is organized and thorough. The
students like her as well as respect her;
a vital combination for a happy, stable
learning environment I have
especially enjoyed Amys willingness to
discover the essence of effective
teaching.
- Christine Phillips
Cooperating Teacher,
Pinewood Middle School

She expresses a sincere concern for
involving parents, colleagues, and
community members in her teaching
approaches, so that students experience
a rich learning environment that will
extend outside her classroom. And she
has already begun that outreach with
her involvement in the Michigan Art
Education Association.
