NT SERVER HARDWARE AND OS UPLOADING RELATED ISSUE

SOLVING
A) Hardware Related Problem.
Power issue: If the following steps are not happened, It means
there may be some problem.
a) zte server required 220v AC. So before giving power to
server always check the incoming ac supply(coming from
commercial AC or inverter) voltage with millimeter
b) After plug in the power cord we switch on the power switch
at the back then the LED (V5SBiY-5v standby voltage) at the
main processor PCB(motherboard) beside SMPS turns into
green. If it is not happened open the cover of the server-jack
out & jack in the power cables coming from smps(power
module to different PCB like processor PCB and hard disk
PCB)
c) Then check the power button at the front side will be turn
into red, if not then open the covercheck the data bus
coming from the front panel power switch to X15 data bus
clip at the right most corner of the main mother board
(seeing from the back side).---if it is loosed from the clip,
then insert the blue end of the data bus into the clip and
insert the end into a specific level otherwise if you insert less
there will be no light at the power button and if you insert
much the button will turn into green and two LED V5 and
V5SBY will remain green but the server will not be on.
So you have to insert the blue end in between those two
levels.

So in ideal condition when you put on the power switch the
power button will turn into red(V5SBY will on) then after
pressing the button V5 LED and other LEDs on that line will
glow and the button will turn into green----the server will
start running.
If your Hard disk not receiving power check the data bus
coming from mother board to hard disks PCB and also look
corresponding LEDs which are at the back of the hard disk
on the PCB are glowing or not.
B) OS uploading related problem.
If you want to upload OS, before that RAID configuration must be
done because we have multiple hard disks.
When booting will start press Ctrl+c to enter in the utility then
flow the steps written in the manual of NT server for raid
configuration.
After that you have to go to bios setup (press DEL/F1 at the
time of booting)
Select boot agent CD drive----then insert the NT server software
CD then restart.
That CD will process automatically
After that one window (written in Chinese) will come.
Go to the left most drop down list.
Select the second option.
Now the whole window will convert into English.
Go to server configuration at the left side of the window.
Then you have to fill the data at the right side for the options
will come at the left side including the time setting, partition
setting, IP setting, File system setting (that will be NTFS),OS
setting(OS name-windows server 2003 R2 standard edition, OS CD
key required) and OS installing(when progress bar is around 8%
system ask you for inserting the first OS CD-----when progress bar
is around 80% it will ask for second CD)
After OS installing Windows setup will start. it will copy files to
hard disk.
After that go to bios and select boot agent hard disk. (F10 for
save the bios configuration)
then restart.

Otherwise we can use a Different & Easy method and then..
Collect automatic recovery CD.
Insert the CD, when booting will start continuously press F12 to
Boot from CD and do as system asking from you.
After that one window (written in Chinese) will come.
Go to the left most drop down list.
Select the second option.
Now the whole window will convert into English.
Go to server configuration at the left side of the window.
Then you have to fill the data at the right side for the options
will come at the left side including the time setting, partition
setting, IP setting, File system setting (that will be NTFS), OS
setting(OS name-windows server 2003 R2 standard edition, OS CD
key required) and OS installing(when progress bar is around 8%
system ask you for inserting the first OS CD-----when progress bar
is around 80% it will ask for second CD)
After OS installing Windows setup will start. it will copy files to
hard disk. Then automatically windows server 2003 OS will start.
Then go to my computer desktop icon -----right click----manage-
--disk management-----format unhealthy drives ----give name to
those drives.
Now your NT server will be ready now upload SQL, oamback copy
previous TG backup to default backup folder
