What makes it so special? The Grand Canyon is the largest canyon in the world
277 miles long, 18 miles wide, and over a mile deep. The canyon displays over 2
billion years of the Earths history within its walls; it was formed by the erosion caused
by the Colorado River, starting over 17 million years ago.

What makes it so special? It is the worlds largest bay, and also has the largest
volume of water with over 49 million cubic gallons the surface covers 238 square
miles. Within the harbor there are 130 islands, and the perimeter has over 50 miles of

What makes it so special? The evolution of the volcano from creation to extinction
was witnessed and studied. It first began in 1943 and went extinct in 1952. Within the
first year the volcano grew 1,102 feet. It is also the youngest volcano that exists in the
Trans-Mexican Belt and North America.

What makes it so special? Aurora is a natural display of light caused by the collision
of solar wind and magnetospheric charged particles in a high altitude atmosphere.
Auroras are also known as the Northern or Southern Lights, in relation to its
hemisphere. Auroras are different colors depending on the altitude at the high end of
the spectrum is red and at the low is blue and purple green is most commonly seen.

What makes it so special? It is the worlds largest waterfall over 5,500 feet wide
and 350 feet tall, it represents the largest sheet of falling water. The Zambezi Rivers
mean annual flow rate over the falls is 38,430 cubic feet per second that is a lot of
