brief profile of our Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed
University. I would very much like all of you to know
about Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University and its
parent body Bharati Vidyapeeth because these two
institutions are distinct from others of their kind in many
respects. I established Bharati Vidyapeeth in 1964 with a
realization that the all sided social transformation can
be brought about through the spread of education.
During the last 48 years, we have established more than
171 educational units of various kinds right from Pre-
Primary School up to the University in different parts of
India and even in the capital city of New Delhi. Bharati
accordance with the provisions in the University Grants
Commission Act, 1956. Since the inception of this
University, our endeavour has been to develop it as a
lively and throbbing center of learning and research. I
am very happy to say here that within the short span of a
15 years this University has established its academic
reputation not only across the country but also outside.
This is evident from the fact that we get students from
different parts of India and also from different
countries. Our both the campuses in Pune are very
well planned and developed. They can be easily
compared with the leading educational campuses in
the country. We
provide all the necessary amenities and facilities to our
students on our campuses.

that your critical wisdom is reflected in choosing our University for your further studies. This is mainly because this University has established its
academic credentials not only in the country but even across the borders. This is further underlined by the fact that we get scores of students not
only from the different parts of India, but also from other countries.

You must make the best use of this opportunity. I must say that, future of young people of your generation is full of opportunities and promises.

Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune

Bharati Vidyapeeth, the parent organization of this University is one of the largest educational organizations
in the country. It has 171 educational units under its umbrella including 67 Colleges and Institutes of conventional
and professional disciplines..

The Department of Human Resource Development, Government of India on the recommendations of the
University Grants Commission accorded the status of "Deemed to be University" initially to a cluster of 12 units of
Bharati Vidyapeeth. Subsequently, 17 additional colleges / institutes were brought within the ambit of
Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University wide various notifications of the Government of India. Bharati
Vidyapeeth Deemed University commenced its functioning on 26th April, 1996.

The status of University was given to a cluster of these Colleges and Institutes in appreciation of the high level of
their academic excellence and for their potential for further growth.
During the last 15 years or so, the University has achieved still higher pinnacles of academic excellence and has
established its reputation to such an extent that it attracts students not only from various parts of India but also from
abroad. According to a survey conducted by Association of Indian Universities, this University is one among the top
ten Universities in the country preferred by the overseas students for admissions. At present, there are more than 800
overseas students from 67 countries on the rolls of constituent units of this University.
During the last 15 years, there has been tremendous academic expansion of the University. It now conducts in
all 214 courses in its constituent units, of them 107 are Post Graduate, 50 are Under Graduate and 57 Diploma
level courses. All the professional courses which the University conducts such as those of Medicine, Dentistry,
Engineering etc., have approval of the respective Statutory Councils, viz., Medical Council of India, Dental Council
of India, All India Council for Technical Education etc.
The University is a throbbing center of research activities and has launched Ph.D. programmes in 64 subjects. It
has also introduced quite few innovative academic programmes such as Masters in Clinical Optometry, M.Tech. in
Nano Technology.
The University's performance and achievements were assessed by the "National Assessment and Accreditation
Council" and it was accredited with a prestigious "A" grade in 2004. Quite a few programmes of the constituent units
such as College of Engineering at Pune, Management Institute in Delhi and others have also been accredited by
"National Board of Accreditation". Three constituent units of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University are also the
recipients of ISO 9001-2001 certifications.
Distinct Features of this University :

The University

The University has been awarded A Grade by Ministry of Human Resources Govt. of India.

Is one of the largest Universities in terms of Constituent Units established u/s. 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
Is a multi-faculty University with Eleven Faculties :
(1) Arts, Social Sciences and Commerce, (2) Science, (3) Law, (4) Medical Sciences, (5) Dentistry, (6) Ayurveda, (7)
Homoeopathy, (8) Nursing, (9) Pharmaceutical Sciences, (10) Management Studies and (11) Engineering and Technology
Offers a wide range of academic programmes to the students. The number of Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Diploma
Programmes are 44, 104, 37 respectively.
Accredited by the NAAC with prestigious 'A' grade (2004) and reaccredited with 'A' grade(2011).
Is according to a survey conducted by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi, among the top ten universities and
preferred by the overseas students for admissions. During the year 2009-10 there are 800 overseas students from 32
countries enrolled with constituent units.
Has eight campuses located in different cities including New Delhi.
Is probably the only University having three self-financing research institutes devoted exclusively for researches in health
related sciences, pharmaceutical sciences and social sciences.
Has established a separate Sports Department to promote sports activities.
Has established a Centre for Performing Arts, which runs graduate programmes in various performing arts including dance,
drama, music.
Three Constituent Units of the University are assessed by the National Board of Accreditation and are accredited with
prestigious grades.
Its three Constituent Units have also obtained ISO 2001-2009 certification.
Has organized several international and national level Seminars, Conferences, etc.
Is a University which academically and intellectually very productive whose faculty members have very laudable record of

research publications and patents.
Has digitalized libraries of its constituent units.
Has created excellent infrastructure for all its constituent units, including well structured specious buildings continuously
updated laboratories and libraries and hostels with all the necessary amenities and facilities for both boys and girls.
Has built a specialized research institute accommodating 18 laboratories for the researches in pharmaceutical sciences.
Has launched laudable outreach programmes through NSS units.
Is proud of its Institute of Environment Science and Research Education, which has been identified as a nodal agency by the
Government of India for its programmes of biodiversity and environmental products. It has adopted several primary schools
with a view to create environmental consciousness among their students.
Has established Women's Creativity Development Centre to undertake researches regarding women, particularly, those of
disadvantage groups and to promote creativity among them.

Our Campuses


Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University has two campuses in Pune, one is on Pune-Satara Road and another in
Erandwane, in the heart of the city.

Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University has campuses in Pune, Mumbai, Solapur, Kolhapur, Sangli, Karad and
New Delhi, the capital city of India.

Rajiv Gandhi Institute of IT and Biotechnology


The institute was conceptualized in 2001 and acquired recognition by the University Grants Commission (UGC)
in September 2002. The institute's activities focus on imparting education, training and research in the emerging
important areas of biotechnology. A three year graduate course (B.Sc.) in biotechnology was introduced in 2003
and a post-graduate course (M.Sc. in biotechnology) in 2005. The academic programme is aimed at generating
competent work force for growing life sciences industry. In 2010, a post graduate course in Bioinformatics (M.Sc.
Bioinformatics) course introduced in the institute & M.Sc. Medical Biotechnology has been launched since 2012
with an aim to generate skilled man power for inter disciplinary subject.

FACILITIES
Infrastructure :
Rajiv Gandhi Institute of IT and Biotechnology has a spacious architecture built up in an area of 59,000 square ft. It
houses five departments i.e. Department of Microbial Biotechnology, Department of Biochemical Sciences, Department
of Plant Biotechnology, Department of Cell and Molecular Biology and Department of Bioinformatics. Each department
has separate laboratories for conducting undergraduate and post-graduate practicals and research. The institute has
well-equipped computer laboratories and spacious classrooms for undergraduate and postgraduate students with LCD
facility.
All laboratories of the institute are equipped with state-of-art instruments like UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, Gel
documentation unit, PCR machine, Laminar air flow units, Microtome, CO
2
incubator, Inverted Microscope etc. to impart
hands-on training for all practical courses. Independent laboratories for imparting hands on training in Plant Tissue
culture and Animal Tissue culture with state-of-art equipment is our strength.
The institute has advanced bioinformatics labs equipped with genomic servers, and computing clusters with 4 Mbps
internet connectivity. The bioinformatics infrastructure supports training, research and development in genomics,
proteomics and drug design.
Good library facility and with internet connectivity and DELNET with more than 1850 books and 26 periodicals are
presently provided to students.
There are total 20 regular teaching faculty in the institute, which includes Professors of national and international
reputation, 5 Associate Professors in-charge of various departments and 10 Asst. Prof. About 73% of the faculty
has doctoral degree and is involved in post-doctoral research activities.
Limited hostel accommodations are available for the students of RGITBT.

Placements for the M.Sc. students are in process.
It is our endeavor to impart training to our students to make them desirable candidates in various sectors.
Over the years many of our students have qualified for various PG courses at National institutes like
JNU, New Delhi and IISc, Bangalore. Our UG students have also qualified for MS programs in
institutes like Maastricht University, The Netherlands, University of Warwick, UK,
University of Melbourne, Australia East Anglia University, UK, State University of New York, Buffolo, US,
Indiana - Purdue University, Indiana, Pollis, US.


PG students have been placed as Project Assistants in funded projects at National Institutes such as NCL,
IRSHA, ARI and for Ph.D. in (i) International Universities such as University of Gloucestershire and Texas
University, (ii) Central Universities in India. Many students are placed in prestigious industries like
Serum Institute of India, Pvt. Ltd, MahiCo, Pune, Reliance Life Sciences, Mumbai, Zydus Hospira
Oncology, Hyderabad, Zelle Biotechnology Pvt Ltd, Mumbai, ToxIndia, Pune, Novartis Pharma,

The course curriculum is designed to strengthen the fundamentals in basic subjects and provide hands on
practice in all important disciplines of biotechnology. The curriculum also aims in developing scientific

thinking, skills to analyze and apply knowledge through projects, industry and field visits and interaction
with experts. In addition to core courses the curriculum offers numbers of elective courses. Elective courses
are designed for facilitation of placement and redevelopment of technical skills for entrepreneurship/
research. Research being an integral part of biotechnology education, the syllabus also emphasises
on project work to give an insight to current in research.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

1. Students will be admitted to M.Sc. Biotechnology /M.Sc Medical Biotechnology / M.Sc Bioinformatics Course
in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Information Technology and Biotechnology, of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed
University, Pune on the basis of merit obtained by them in the All India Entrance Test (MBT-2013)
2 MBT-2013 will be conducted on 15th June 2013 from 1100 hrs. to 1230 hrs. at the examination centres in the
cities mentioned below


INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETING THE APPLICATION FORM for (MBT -2013)

For selecting choice of the centre to appear for the entrance examination, write the corresponding number of
the centre as shown in the table below :

3. There will be one question paper, set in English medium containing 100 objective type questions. Questions
will be based on the syllabus prescribed for the test. Equal weightage will be given for all subjects prescribed in
the syllabus. There is no negative marking for wrong answers. Details of the syllabus are given in Annexure - I.

Note : Out of the sanctioned intake, 20% seats are reserved for Foreign / NRI / PIO/Management Merit
students category. Candidates desirous of seeking admissions through this category will have to apply to the
Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University Pune. The last date for submission of the form for this
category is 10th June 2013 before 1700 hrs. Any seats remaining vacant after allotment to Foreign / NRI/PIO
Merit students, will be allotted to Indian students under regular merit category on the basis of marks obtained
by them in the MBT 2013.
5 Eligibility for appearing in MBT - 2013 and subsequent admission :

1) The candidate must be an Indian National.

2) For M.Sc. Biotechnology : The candidate should have passed B.Sc. from any recognised university or its
equivalent examination in any of the subjects, Biotechnology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Agriculture / Life
Sciences / Chemistry /Zoology / Botany with minimum 50% marks in the respective subjects. (45% in case
of SC / ST).
3) For M.Sc. Medical Biotechnology : The candidate should have passed B.Sc. from any recognised university
or its equivalent examination in any of the subjects, Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Zoology / Microbiology
/Botany / Chemistry /Pharmacy/Medicine including homeopathy and Ayurveda/ Veterinary science with
minimum 50% (45% in case of SC / ST) aggregate marks in graduation.
4) For M.Sc. Bioinformatics: The candidate should have passed B.Sc. in Biotechnology / Microbiology /
Biochemistry / Chemistry /Zoology / Botany / Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Sciences/ Agriculture /
B. Pharm / MBBS / BDS / BAMS / BHMS / BE in Computer Sciences / Information technology / Biomedical
Engineering with minimum 50% (45% in case of SC / ST) aggregate marks from any recognised university.

6. INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATE TO FILL THE FORM.

Thank you very much for selecting admission into Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University PUNE. Please read
these instructions carefully and please follow the same. If you have any query about filling the form, contact 020
24407163.
There are two options available for payment of entrance fees
1. Payment through Demand Draft(DD)
2. Payment through Payment Gateway i.e. Credit/Debit Master/ Visa cards. Instructions for payment are given on
home page. Kindly note that the candidates opting for this payment mode should not send his form to this office.
Instead he/she should carry the form at the examination hall along with TWO passport size photographs. Please
submit this form to the invigilator.
3 Those who are opting Demand Draft as payment mode for CET Online Registration, Select Demand Draft as
Payment Option.

a) You are requested to the see table of contents for examination and identify your course.

b) The amount shown in the columns of Demand Draft should be noted. You are requested to draw a Demand Draft of
this amount from any nationalized bank in favour of The registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University
payable at Pune.

c) You are requested not proceed further unless you have a DD.

d) Select I Agree and click NEXT button

e) Select whether the examination is Under Graduate (UG) or Post graduate (PG).

f) System displays / shows the table of various examinations. You are requested to the select the requisite course by
clicking Register Link to fill online CET Registration form

g) You are now starting to fill the CET Online Registration form

h) Online Registration form is divided into following four parts.
i) Payment Details Demand Draft details such as Demand draft number, Demand Draft date and Bank details.
ii) Personal Details Your name should be same as from xth standard , Mark list
iii)Parents Information
iv) Qualifying Examination Details
i) Candidate has to read instrations given the agreement carefully, select I agree and click NEXT button to start CET
Online Registration form.

j) After you enter all necessary information through these screens the system will display the preview of the
completed form in read only mode. For any corrections, use previous button to go to appropriate screen and make
corrections.
k) Finally if you are satisfied with the entered information Through preview mode, click on the submit button. The
filled form in PDF format will be generated.

l) In case of unforeseen events ( power failure, disconnection of Internet etc. please re-enter the form again from
beginning i.e. from steps (h).

m) The filled form in the PDF mode is displayed on the screen. You must take the print copy of this form, paste a
photograph and make a signature at appropriate place provided in the form.
n) Please write form No, Course Name, Candidate Name and Contact No on the back side of the Demand Draft and
attach to the form, put it in envelope and send this to the following address.

ANY CERTIFICATES WITH THE APPLICATION FORM.
8. Completed application form must be accompanied by MBT-2013 fee of Rs. 1250/-. It should be submitted
either in person (in which case the fee can be paid by cash) or mailed (in which case, the fee should be paid by
Demand Draft drawn on any nationalized bank payable at Pune, in favour of The Registrar, Bharati
Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune to the following address.

8.1 The Candidate should invariably mention the number of his application form (as printed on it) a n d
his name on the back of his Demand Draft.
8.2 The application sent by mail must be sent by registered post / speed post / courier.
8.3 The application must reach either by hand or by mail to the above address on or before 10th June
2013 by 1700 hrs.

An incomplete application form and / or an application form which is not accompanied by a demand draft of
the prescribed MBT-2013 fee of Rs. 1250/- will not be entertained and processed. This fee should not be sent
by money order. Please note that this fee is non-refundable.
9. This University will not be responsible for any delay or loss of the Application/Admission Card/Counseling
Letter/any other communication in transit. Such a delay will not be condoned.

10. The applicant himself has to ascertain from the University office whether the application has reached to it or
not.
Please refer a sample completed Application form as in Annexure IV.


Issue of Admission Cards

11. Admission Cards for MBT-2013 will be dispatched by post to candidates under certificates of posting. The
Admission Card will indicate the Roll Number and Examination Centre allotted to the candidate with its
address.
12. The Candidate must not mutilate this Admission Card or change any entry made therein after it has been
authenticated by the University authorities.
13. In case the Admission Card is not received by a candidate by 13th June 2013he/she should contact the
Concerned Designated Centre on 14th June 2013 for collecting a duplicate admission card. In such cases, a
candidate should bring two copies of his photograph and a proof of submission/mailing of application form
with him.


Conduct of the MBT-2013

14. The examination of MBT-2013 will be conducted at Pune, New Delhi and Navi Mumbai, at 1100 hours on,
15th June 2013

The candidates must report at the centre atleast 30 minutes before the scheduled time of commencement of
test. The addresses of examination centres are given elsewhere in this brochure.

15. THE EXAMINATION HALL WILL BE OPENED 30 MINUTES BEFORE THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE TEST.
CANDIDATES ARE EXPECTED TO TAKE THEIR SEATS AT LEAST 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE COMMENCEMENT
OF THE EXAMINATION. IF THE CANDIDATES DO NOT REPORT IN TIME, THEY ARE LIKELY TO MISS SOME OF
THE IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS WHICH WILL BE ANNOUNCED IN THE EXAMINATION HALL.
16. A candidate will not be allowed to appear for the Test if he is late by 30 minutes or more to reach the examination
hall.
17. The candidate must bring his admission card with him and show the same on demand for admission to the

examination hall. A candidate who does not have the Admission Card issued by the Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed
University will not be admitted to the examination hall under any circumstances by the Centre Superintendent.
18. A seat with a number will be allotted to each candidate.

19. A candidate will not be allowed to carry any textual material, printed or hand written chits or any other material
except the Admission Card inside the examination hall. Candidates will not be permitted to bring calculators, slide
rules, clark tables, electronic watches with facilities of calculators, laptop computers, personal stereo
systems, walkie-talkie sets, paging devices, mobile telephones and any other objects/devices in the
examination hall. Possession or use of such devices during the examination is prohibited and candidate is
liable to be expelled if found using or possessing them.
20. No candidate, will be allowed to go outside the examination hall till the completion of the entire duration of
examination. Once the candidate leaves the hall (even for answering a call of nature) he/she will not be
readmitted to examination hall. No exception will be made in this regard.
21. Parents, relatives, or friends of the candidates will not be allowed to enter into the premises of the centre. No
arrangement will be made for tea / snacks etc. for the students or parents. The parents will have to make their own
arrangements.
22. Candidates are advised to bring with them a card board or a clip board, on which nothing should have been
written. This board will be useful to them while writing their responses in the answer sheet in case tables in the
examination hall do not have smooth surface.
23. Smoking in the examination centre is strictly prohibited. Beverages or snacks of any kind are not allowed to be
taken into the examination halls during examination hours.
24. Candidates should maintain perfect silence and discipline in the examination hall. Any conversation, gesticulation
or disturbance in the examination hall shall be considered as misbehaviour and the candidates involved in such
behaviour will be expelled from the examination hall. Similarly, if any candidate is found using unfair means or
allowing someone else to impersonate him / her, his/her candidature at the examination will be
instantaneously cancelled.
25. During the examination time, the invigilator will check the Admission Cards of the candidates to satisfy
himself/herself about the identity of each candidate. The invigilator will also put his/her signature in the place
provided in the Answer Sheet on SIDE-1.
26. After completing the test and before handing over the Test Booklet and the Answer Sheet back to the invigilator, the
candidate should check once again to see whether all the particulars required in the Test Booklet and the Answer
Sheet have been correctly written. He should ensure that the Roll Number, Centre Code and the Test Booklet
number are correctly written on the answer sheet.
27. A warning bell will be given at the beginning of the examination and also to mark the half-time of the examination
time. A bell will also be given before the closing time when the candidate must stop marking the responses or
writing.
28 Mode of the test for MBT - 2013

. The examination consists of one paper with 100 objective type questions, based on the prescribed syllabus.
Duration of the examination is 90 mins. (1hr 30 min). There is no negative marking in the evaluation of this
entrance examination. Candidates must attempt all 100 questions.

Results will be declared on 25th June 2013 at the respective centers and at the main office of Bharati
Vidyapeeth, Pune. It will also be available on our websites www.bharatividyapeethuniversity.net or
http//www.bharatividyapeeth.edu.in
Merit List :

29. The University will prepare a common merit list for admission to M.Sc. Biotechnology / M.Sc Medical Biotech /

M.Sc Biofinformatics for Regular merit category and also Foreign / NRI / Management Merit Category
candidates who have appeared for MBT-2013 in accordance with the total marks obtained by them.

The merit lists of the candidates shall be displayed at the designated centres in Pune, Navi Mumbai and New
Delhi. The merit list will also be available on our websites : http//www.bvuniversity.edu.in or
www.bharatividyapeethuniversity.net. The candidates will be called in for counseling as per their ranking in the
respective list.

It shall be candidates responsibility to see the result of MBT-2013. Candidates will be allotted seat as per
his/her merit, based on the availability of seats.

Counseling and on-the-spot-admission session

30. The counseling sessions for admission to M.Sc. Biotechnology / M.Sc Medical Biotech / M.Sc Biofinformatics
will be conducted at Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed Universitys, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Information Technology
& Biotechnology, Dhankwadi, Pune-411 046 as per the schedule given on Calender Events.

FAILURE TO REPORT FOR COUNSELING ON THE SCHEDULED DATE AND TIME MAY RESULT IN
INSTANTANEOUS CANCELLATION OF THE CLAIM FOR ADMISSION.

The student will be admitted to the course of his/her choice, according to his/her merit, and conditions of
fulfilling other eligibility criteria for the respective course of choice. Admission will be confirmed upon full
payment of fees in cash or Demand Draft drawn on any nationalized bank payable at Pune, in favour of
The Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune

31. The candidate should remain present for the personal interview (counseling) and for on the spot admission, as
per the schedule even though he/she does not receive any intimation letter from the University, if his/her name
appears in the Regular merit list for MBT-2013

Only those candidates who have passed the qualifying examination and who fulfill other eligibility
conditions of respective course on the date of counseling will be eligible for counseling and
subsequent admission.

32. Only the candidate & one of his parent/gardian will be allowed into the hall. The candidates will be called in the
order of their ranking in the merit list and offered the seats to the course at that point in time.

33. The candidate must note that appearance at this examination and inclusion of name in the Merit List
does not necessarily mean that he/she will get admission to the course. His/her admission to the
course will depend upon the availability of vacancies for the course at the time of counseling.

34. At the time of reporting for the counseling, the candidate is required to produce the documents (original and
two sets of photocopies) listed in Annexure II. If the candidate is admitted to the course, these documents will
be retained by the University till he/she completes the course. If the candidate fails to produce all or any of the
documents listed in Annexure II, he/she will instantaneously forfeit his / her claim for a seat.

35. If any candidate finds it impossible to be physically present for the counseling due to any unavoidable circumstances,
he/she may authorize any other responsible individual to represent him/her for the counseling. This representative must
carry with him/her the letter of authorization in the format given in Annexure III as well as all the documents listed in
Annexure II. If the candidate or his representative fails to report for the counseling on the date and the time mentioned in
the schedule of counseling, his claim for admission to the course will be forfeited and his seat will be allotted to the next
candidate in the merit list.
36. The selected candidate will be required to pay the entire amount of annual fee and other fees on the day of counseling
itself in cash or through Demand Draft drawn on any nationalized bank payable at Pune, in favour of The Registrar, Bharati
Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune. In case the candidate fails to remit the entire amount of fees, he/she is likely to lose
his / her claim for admission to that seat.

Those who are desirous of getting admission to the hostel will be required to pay the entire amount of rent as well as, the
mess charges for the entire academic year at the time of admission only.

38 Refund of fees :
In case of cancellation of Admission the Refund policy will be as follows :
(i) In the event of student withdrawing before the starting of the particular course, the entire fee collected from the student,
after a deduction of the processing fee of Rs. 1,000/- (Rupees One thousand only) shall be refunded.
(ii) If a student submits his application for cancellation of admission in a prescribed form (duly completed) within 15 calendar
days from the date of commencement of the particular course, 10 percent of total amount of tuition fees prescribed for the
course will be deducted form the amount of tuition fee paid by him and the balance amount will be refunded.
(iii) If a student submits his application for cancellation of admission in a prescribed form (duly completed within 30 calendar
days from the date of commencement of the particular course, 20 percent of the total amount of tuition fees prescribed for
the course will be deducted from the amount of tuition fee paid by him and the balance amount will be refunded.
(iv) If a student submits an application for cancellation of admission after 30 calendar days from the date of commencement
of the particular course, no refund will be made and Rule (v) may also be invoked. However, if the application for
cancellation of admission is submitted before the last date prescribed for admission, and if the vacated seat is filled by
another candidate, 25% of the amount of tuition fees prescribed for the course will be deducted from the amount of tuition
fee paid and the balance amount will be refunded.
(v) If any student admitted to any course leaves the course after the prescribed last date for admission of the particular course no
refund will be made and he will be required to pay full amount of tuition fees for the remaining entire duration of the
course.
40. Differences of opinion and disputes arising in the interpretation and implementation of the clauses in this Brochure, if any,
will be referred to the Vice-Chancellor of the Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune and his decision shall be final
and binding on all the concerned.
41. Under no circumstances a change in examination centre once selected by the candidate will be allowed.

42. Any legal matters arising out of the total admission process of M.Sc. Biotech. through All India Common Entrance Test of
Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune -30 i.e. MBT-2012 will be in the courts of Pune, Maharatshtra State.
