SCREENING

Winner of the Golden Lion award at the 2011
Venice Biennale, The Clock by Christian
Marclay samples thousands of excerpts from
the history of film that indicate the passage of
timefrom clock towers to wristwatches to
buzzing alarm clocksthat the artist has
edited together to unfold on the screen in real
time as a 24-hour montage.

THE INTUITIONISTS
OPENING RECEPTION

The Intuitionists is a collaborative project by
artists Heather Hart, Steffani Jemison, and
Jina Valentine. Inspired by Colson
Whitehead's novel The Intuitionist, the
exhibition considers how the collection, the
database, and the aggregate serve as
complementary models for the organization
of information and objects in flux. Among the
artists featured in the exhibition is Elisabeth
Eberle from Switzerland.

OLAF BREUNING
PUBLIC ART INSTALLATION

Public Art Fund presents a playful new
commission by Olaf Breuning entitled
Clouds installed at the southeast entrance to
Central Park. The artists largest public art
installation in the United States to date, the
work features six clouds rendered as childlike
drawings made of polished blue aluminum
towering nearly 35 feet above the plaza and
mounted on seemingly makeshift steel
supports.

THE SWISS TOUCH IN LANDSCAPE

The Swiss Touch in Landscape Architecture
provides an insight into the extreme richness
and variety of Swiss landscape architecture
and presents the relevant works of renowned
Swiss architects such as Bernard Tschumi,
Herzog & de Meuron and that of engineer
Jrg Conzett. The exhibition was produced
by Pro Helvetia, curated by Michael Jakob,
and made possible by Presence Switzerland.

BLOCH NORTH DAKOTA
INTERACTIVE GLOBAL ART PROJECT

BLOCH is an interactive global art project by
Com&Com which connects artists and folk
traditions to facilitate a worldwide
conversation. The core of this unique project
is a large tree trunk called Bloch which
originates from an ancient Swiss tradition
from the Appenzell region. Bloch will travel to
North Dakota where local artists add their
mark or story to the tree trunk.

The Museum of the Swiss Abroad in Geneva is pleased to present Peter Knapp
101 Regards sur les Femmes. The focus of the exhibition is Knapps photos of
women, whom he photographed for 50 years on commission, notably for ELLE
magazine. His work reflects the story of film photography and technical
innovationshe was the first to use a Rotoflex camera and wide angles for
fashion photographyand is an important part of the artistic history of the
