- Regular replacements of air filter to ensure good quality of breathing air. - Appropriate PPE should be used (Rubberized Gloves) - Designated paint storage / mixing area shall be ventilated and minimum of 6 meters away from any source of ignition. - Adequate numbers of fire extinguisher shall be deployed in the area. - In case when paints to be transferred to another container, it shall be labeled accordingly. - Drip trays to be provided during transferring / mixing to prevent soil contamination during accidental spill. - Left over paints, used brushes, etc. is flammable and potential source of fire, it shall be properly disposed not left unattended. - Copy of MSDS shall be maintained in storage area. - Proper respiratory protection shall be worn as prescribe by MSDS. - Low speed electric drill with jiffy or mixing paddle shall be use in mixing paints. - Electric drill shall be inspected and tagged safe for use. It shall be 110V, double insulated, equip wit dead mans switch. - In addition, hand / arm protection should be worn. - Implement house keeping/cleaning before & after work. - Proper materials/tools arrangement must promptly observe.

- Fall protection required on all works 1.8 m and above e.g. full body harness, scaffolding platform. Drums, barrels and other unstable objects shall not be use as work platform regardless of the height. - Personnel shall inspect the scaffold tag before using the platform. - Tools / materials on elevated areas shall not be left unsecured. - Hand and power tools shall be inspected and tagged safe for use in addition to it shall be tied off by a string to prevent it from falling. - Area below shall be fully isolated by means of barricade. - Holes and gaps in the platform shall be covered. Ladder shall be fully secured before using. - Ensure access/egress free from any obstruction at all times.
