All equipment was mechanically designed in-house including the major beams with Finite
Element analysis.

The re-mixing quench assembly was designed for a relatively high pressure drop requiring
the use of 6 major beams in a double arrangement top set of beams 12mm thick with the
bottom set of beams 40mm thick.

The licensor was (Exxon-Mobil R & D).

first attempt.

Packing support grids were gas injection multi-beam type suitable for random packing
beds.

Liquid distributors and re-distributors were narrow trough type designed for an operating
range of 2 to 1.

Demister pads and the random packing material was PPL. All other items were made in
304L stainless steel.

Spray nozzle distributor was for cleaning the demister in-situ.

DtEC was responsible for the complete hydraulic design of the internals and packing.

DtEC was also responsible for the mechanical design of the internals.
