Greetings from

Nizhny Novgorod
We are down to the wire now
with just 3 weeks left
before we make the big
transition from one ministry
to another, one culture to
another, and one home to
another. We are both
excited and eager, and yet
filled with a deep sense of
sadness and loss. Gods
calling is never easy, but He
gives His strength when we
are weak, joy in the midst of
chaos and a deep sense of
contentment that comes
with obedience.
nnn
During the rst half of June we
continued our regular ministry to
the Nizhny Novgorod area rehab
centers. Every visit was special
to us as we knew that we were in
the nal weeks of our ministry in
Russia. We love ministering to
and being friends with these
brothers and sisters. Our desire
is that they successfully
complete the program and go on
the serve the Lord. They have
inspired us to return to the United
States to begin our ministry to
the addicted.

Siberia!
On June 20, Karens birthday, we
began our nal ministry trip to
Siberia. We covered 6650 miles
by plane, train, and automobiles
over 18 days. We preached in 8
churches, 1 summer camp, and
3 rehab centers, preaching or
teaching16 times in 8 days. 31
people prayed a prayer of
repentance or re-dedication to
follow Christ.
We spent our nal week in
Achinsk, Siberia attending the
national summer conference of
the Cornerstone Churches of
Russia. We have ministered
alongside them now, as
Foursquare missionaries to
Russia, for 8 years.
Almost 3000 people attended
this conference. Churches from
110 cities across Russia were
represented at the conference.
Most of those attending had
found Christ through the ministry
of the Cornerstone churches,
and most of the 3000 have been
saved from a background of
addiction, crime or
homelessness.
For us the highlight of the
conference was receiving the
blessing of the Cornerstone
churches as they publicly prayed
over us to send us back to
America as we end our time in
Russia and begin a new ministry
this fall in the United States.
As we write this letter we have
23 more days in Russia. We are
packing and giving things away
as we make our nal
preparations to leave Russia. It
is a happy and sad time for us.
We are joyful because of the
great blessings God has given us
over these years in Russia. We
are sad to say good-bye to the
country and people we love. We
look forward to the great work
that the Lord will do as we begin
anew in America.
Thank you for your faithful
prayers and support over our
years in Russia. Please
remember we will continue to
need these in the United States
as we begin a new ministry as
missionaries to the addicted.

Praise reports:
1. We have returned safely from a very busy trip to
Siberia.
2. We have sold our car and the new owner is
graciously letting us continue to use it right up to
the day we leave.
Prayer requests:
1. Pray that we will nd the car that God has for us
at a price we can afford.
2. Pray for clarity in choosing what to keep and
bring back with us and what to dispense with.
We have a severely limited quantity that we can
take with us because of cost. Our whole life will
be contained in 4 suitcases each.
3. We have an elliptical trainer we need to sell.
Pray for someone to see our add and step
forward.
4. Please prayerfully continue to nancially support
us in our new ministry. We will be living by faith
and drawing no salary. The demands of
discipling require our time and involvement 24/7
and therefore, part time work is out of the
question.
Thank You to all who have been praying for us
and nancially supporting our work. We could
not be here without you. Our spiritual fruit is
your fruit!
Pre conference gathering of over 400 pastors and
