Student Performance Review

A rubric may consist of two sections, the first of which is a performance-criteria checklist where
the students are evaluated in one or more areas. The second section provides the teacher a space
to make specific anecdotal comments about the students performance. The sample rubric
provided is very general and is designed to serve as a structural model; Feel free to modify the
rubric as needed. hen adapting and using the sample rubric, teachers will need to reflect on
e!pected outcomes and classroom observations and e!periences, as well as review student work
and the skills checklist. To assess students, teachers should make a determination and place an
"#$ in each of the appropriate cells. The checklist and comments should help the teacher to make
a fair and comprehensive evaluation of the students work.
