A message from our District Superintendent, Rev. Harold Berrian:

Dear Friends,
As you probably know by now, the decision was made at our district
assembly to regretfully close Mt. Hope Campground. This difficult
decision was the result of prolonged and consistent declines in
attendance, volunteers, and giving. Beginning next summer, we will
continue camp ministries at other locations, but were no longer in a
position to own a campground. Because childrens & teen camps are
self-supporting, we chose to have them this summer at the camp.
Unfortunately being significantly in the hole financially already, we are
not able to have the regular family camp this summer.

In lieu of a week-long family camp; however, we will have a Reunion
Day at Mt. Hope Campground on Saturday, July 26, 2014. Well have a
family picnic at 12:00 pm, and a Reunion Service at 2:00 pm. The meat
will be provided at the picnic, and each family should bring a selection of
pot-luck dishes to be shared with everyone. The Reunion Service will
be a celebration event of the lives impacted over the years at the camp.
Please mark your calendars, and invite your family and friends!
