1.0 PURPOSE
To provide maximum control and protection of structure against termite
infestation. To also apply termiticide in a way non-hazardous way to humans,
animals and the environment.

2.0 APPLICATION
The termiticide to be used shall be dieldrex 20 as specified.
The service technician shall drench the foundation trenches at a rate of 5 liters
per square meter of soil. Foundation shall be redrenched after backfill.
Mix shall comprise of one liter of dieldrex 20 to 60 liters of water.

3.0 HEALTH AND SAFETY
Prior to each application, applicators must notify the site manager of the intended
termiticide application and intended sites of application and instruct the
responsible person to notify construction workers and other individuals to leave
the area to be treated during application and until the termiticide is absorbed into
the soil.
Termiticide applicators must be well experienced and must wear cotton long-
sleeved shirt and long pants, socks, shoes and chemical resistant gloves. In
addition, all termiticide handlers must wear a respiratory protection device. In
addition, all handlers must wear protective eyewear when working in a non-
ventilated space.
After application, handlers shall wash themselves thoroughly with soap and
plenty of water.
Termiticide shall not be applied directly to water, to areas where surface water is
present or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark.
Termiticide wastes shall be disposed of onsite (in the treatment area) or at an
approved waste disposal facility.
Container shall be disposed after being triple rinsed then emptied and disposed of
in procedures approved by the state and local authorities.
