Where: In front of Sophie B.'s home on Milton Street. Demeanor: Sophie talks to me with contained anger regarding the diesel generator that was parked and running on her sidewalk in front of her home during Thursdays flm shoot. Sophie is in her 70s and has lived on Milton Street since the late 1950's.These are my notes of what she said and what she asked: Sophie B. "...I paid $3000. to replace my sidewalk less than three months ago, I had to pay extra because its a Landmark street. The city fnes me if my sidewalk is broken but I have to pay, not the city to fx it! Why was this truck's Back end (lift-gate) going up and down on it all day? How do I know it's not cracked under there now? I was up until 11:00 last night washing the grease that came of that truck, why was there grease? During the day the noise drove me in, why should I have to go in? Why cant I sit on my porch? The generator was on all day vibrating my house. I had such a bad headache! I couldn't stand the fumes they gave me a headache. The fumes came in even though all my windows and doors were closed...
