FireEyes Prerequisites
The FireEyes extension requires the following software to be installed:

Firefox version 10 or higher


Firebug version 1.10.6 or higher

NOTE: The Firebug version must be compatible with your current version of Firefox.
See https://getfirebug.com/ for details on the compatibility between Firefox and Firebug.
The steps outlined in the Getting Started guide are to be performed in sequential order using
the Firefox browser.

Step 1: Install the Firefox browser


Note: This step is not required if you already have a supported version of Firefox Installed.
1. Download Firefox from the following location:
http://www.mozilla.org/
2. Install Firefox.

Step 2: Install the Firebug plugin


Note: This step is not required if you already have a supported version of Firebug Installed.
1. Download Firebug from the following location:
https://getfirebug.com/
2. Install Firebug.

Step 4: Register on WorldSpace
1. Register on WorldSpace from the following location:
http://worldspace.deque.com/FireEyes/register
2. Enter User Registration information.
3. Click the Agree and register button.
4. Open Worldspace Sync Account Registration email and validate your account.

Step 5: Login to WorldSpace


1. Open the WorldSpace Login:
http://worldspace.deque.com/FireEyes/login/auth
2. Enter your account information (Email Address / Password).
3. Click the Login button.

Step 6: Create a Project

Enter Project Name.


Enter Domain (e.g., example.com, www.example.com, or developer.example.com).
Confirm Favorite checkbox is checked.
Confirm Accessibility checkbox is checked.
Click the Create button.

Step 7: Download the FireEyes extension


1. Click the Download link (FireEyes icon)

2. Allow Firefox to install software on your computer.
3. Click the Install Now button.
4. Restart Firefox to complete FireEyes installation.

Step 8: Configure the FireEyes server settings


Click the Firebug icon in Firefox to activate the extension (icon to the top right corner).
Click the FireEyes tab in Firebug.
Click the Settings tab in FireEyes.
Enter WorldSpace Sync Server URL:
http://worldspace.deque.com/FireEyes/
5. Enter account E-mail address and Password.
6. Click the Update & Login button.
7. Confirm Successfully logged in to Worldspace Sync (message to the right of login
form).

Step 9: Select a Project

Click the Switch button in FireEyes Settings.


Select the Worldspace Sync project from the drop down.
Click the Switch to project button.
Confirm Logged in to project (green light):
(OK) the current webpage matches project domain
(unmatched) the current webpage does not match project domain

Step 10: Perform an Analysis


1. Browse to the webpage to be analyzed.
2. Click the Current Document tab in FireEyes.
3. Click the Analyze: Now button to display Analysis results.

Troubleshooting
The FireEyes extension is currently dependent on Firefox and Firebug. To provide the best
possible experience it is recommended to disable automatic updates.

Disable Firefox Automatic Updates


1. Open Firefox updates settings:
Mac: Firefox -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Update
Windows: Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Update
2. Select Never check for updates.

Disable Firebug Automatic Updates


1. Open the Firebug extension settings:
Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions -> Firebug 1.10.6 -> More
2. Select Automatic Updates Off.
