Leroy Gaines: Academic Dean We are fast approaching the end of our first semester of the 2009-2010 school year.
Shree Ram: Intervention Counselor The end of the semester is on Jan 22nd. Students will receive 2 final grades of record
Julia Hollinger: Curriculum Coach for the school year (Semester 1 and Semester 2) and a student must pass both

Andy Hatcher: Campus Supervisor We are happy to report how well our students did during the first quarter of the
Vanessa Barrios: College Counselor school year. 3/4 of our entire school population (285 students or 75.4%) received a
GPA of 2.0 and above and almost 40% of our students (142 students or 37.6%)
TEACHERS: received a 3.0 GPA or above. These are some of our best results yet.

We also received our 10th grade CAHSEE passing rates. On the first try, 79% of our

hours a day. Please call the Main Office and we can give you the information you need to
come, your child receives a help you understand how your child is doing in school.

SPORTS PROGRAM
The LPS sports program fielded a boy’s soccer and girl’s volleyball team this fall. All of our Puma
athletes played hard all season and represented our school proudly. The soccer team ended with a
record of 2-3-1, and the volleyball ended with a record of 2-3. Boy’s basketball is coming up. Here

for being accepted into Colby The LPS Richmind's After School Program IS LOOKING FOR MORE LPS STUDENTS TO GET
INVOLVED! AFTER SCHOOL MATTERS! Colleges and Universities are looking for more than just
College Fly-Out program! You good grades! They also want students who are involved in their community and school in
have opened the door for other other ways. We have several ways for students to get involved, get prepared for college and
have some fun too! Our programs include:
