! It Takes Us Both
They get the best instruction for
sports, the performing arts,
beauty pageants, marching
band, and even intense
preparation to obtain higher
academic achievement. In the
end, fact remains, the additional
stress, whether physical
in nature, or mentally induced,
stress is stress, and these demands lead to
additional nutrient needs.
Even worst, Young women are at most risk for
nutrient deficiencies. Chronic nutrient deficiencies
may lead to menstrual irregularities, poor bone
health, delayed puberty, and increased risk of
injuries (Bass 2006).
WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE?
Does it not make sense then, we are responsible to
give youth athletes and performers, the correct
information on setting the proper foundation with
food nutrition; nutrients are fundamental in
restoring and re-energizing both mind and body.
How can anyone tell how much of a
nutrient is needed to rebuild their
body if they have not first measured
what has been depleted?
Elyon Williams, NC | Institute Director
Although spinach may give iron to one youth,
maybe the next does not need iron, maybe they
need copper! So, although vegetables may be good
in general, your student may need certain nutrients
according to their own individual biochemistry;
screening for mineral deficiencies is critical in
achieving OPTIMUM nutrition, a component
missing from youth nutrition programs today.
The Problem?
Lack of accurate information on nutrition The Leader in Cutting-Edge Nutrition
The Difference?
What makes our nutrition talks substantially
different (performance or otherwise) and more
effective, is that we talk about how the food you eat
affects the bodys nervous and hormonal systems,
before talking about the "nutrient" content in foods.
We teach how any person can use foods to switch
on, or switch off the bodies energy stores on
demand, through food based control of the nervous
and hormonal (endocrine) system for peak
performance, and maximum retention of lean
muscle mass, and decreased post recovery.
Regardless of the target goal is
we guarantee our approach
is the central key to greater success
Next, we educate our audience on the second most
critical aspect of nutrition, and that is the systemic
post digestive thermal nature of the foods we eat,
and how this enhances opportunities to stay at peak
energy levels.
Without proper understanding of the post digestive
thermal nature of foods, a person will most
certainly limit the body's use of caloric intake from
foods, and thereby speed the depletion of energy.
Whether an athlete, academian, or a beauty model,
not understanding the post digestive thermal nature
of foods, could cause a person to consume more
food calories than desired.
Finally, our nutrition talk will tie in the final
component of food, the nutrient content, and how to
determine which nutrient's are best for peak energy,
post exertion recovery, and rehabilitation based on
individual bio-chemistry-not one size fits all.
