The architectural modular design of the IDL Network is based on ELTA's field proven experience of more than 20 years
in the design and manufacture of data links.
The IDL Network can be tailored from a variety of Data Terminals, including Ground Data Terminals (GDT), Air Data
Terminals (ADT) and Video Receiving Assemblies (VRA), enabling the user at each terminal to receive and/or transmit
analog data, video and/or digital data.

IDL Network - Integrated Data Link Network
The EL/K-1850 is a wideband integrated microwave communication network designed for a variety of ground-to-ground,
ground-to-air, ship-to-air and air-to-air applications.
Carry one or a combination of the following :
- Command or Telemetry Data
- Video, Black & White or Color
- Data : from 64 kbps up to 280 Mbps
Antennas - Omnidirectional or Directional,
dish or planar array
Wide Bandwidth - Span up to 1.5 GHz
Extended Range beyond LOS via Relay
Long Range : Up to 360 km LOS

The EL/K-1850 network consists of the following subsystems :
Data Term inal Configuration
- Antenna (Omni or Directional)
- Transceiver (with synthesized L.O.) and Power Supply
- Front-End (Rx Filter/Preamplifier and Tx Power Amplifier)
The standard basic configuration of each data terminal
includes:
- Digital data modem for transceiving digital data
- Data encryption module for data security
Optional additional features :
- Spread Spectrum modem for protected communications
- Video compression / decompression unit for transmitting
and receiving video
