The available alternative route
is via; travel in a North

The Order will come into force
on the 28th July 2014 until no

Working towards an individual sales target you will be expected to be
resourceful and self motivated. Sourcing and canvassing new clients to

solutions to their advertising and marketing needs. This will run in sync with
the ongoing management of existing, established clients, ensuring they are
receiving the best possible value from our product portfolio.
The Person
As a Field Sales Representative you will need to be self motivated and driven
towards achieving revenue targets. Condence in working under your own
initiative is essential, although there will be occasions that you are required
to work on team projects.
Time management is key to this role, along with being able to adhere to
rigid deadlines. Previous sales and/or customer service experience could be
advantageous, although this is not an essential requirement as a comprehensive
training programme is in place.

Golf returns with powerful turbo model
FOR four generations now Volkswagen
has offered a high-performance Golf
that is over and above the legendary
GTI and so it is with this, the Golf R.
Based on the current seventh-gen-
eration Golf, the R sticks to a now-es-
tablished recipe to distance it from its
sibling; four-wheel-drive, turbocharged
power and a subtle, powerful look.
This latest Golf Rhas big alloywheels,
a discreet bodykit and R badges on
the outside, while inside there are spe-
cial sports seats, a fat three-spoke steer-
ing wheel and some extra equipment.
As before there is four-wheel-drive and
the 2.0-litre turbocharged engine dish-
es 296bhp, making this comfortably the
most powerful production Golf to date.
The standard Golf is sensitive to
colour and can look weedy on small
wheels, but the R has those problems
licked. Finished in the popular deep
blue and on the optional 19-inch wheels
(18-inchers are standard) it looks su-
perb. Despite the added performance
the Golf R manages to be virtually as
practical as the standard car. In the cab-
in the space is excellent, with enough
head and leg room to suit even the tall-
est drivers while you can fit tall adults
in the rear seats too you can have
three or five door versions for family
access also.
Because of the four-wheel-drive boot
roomis reduced, but only by 37 litres so
there is still a useful 343 litres on offer.
Like many modern performance cars
the Golf R offers a number of modes to
tailor the car to your current driving
style.
In Comfort mode the sensitivity of
the accelerator and steering is backed
off and the exhaust is quiet, so other
than a slightly firmer ride than the
standard it drivers much like a regular
Golf, albeit with much more power.
However, switched into the most ag-
gressive Race mode and the Golf R is
a beast transformed. Fully extended it
will rocket to 62mph in under 5 seconds
when fitted with the DSG gearbox, ac-
companied by a purposeful roar from
the engine. If you still have children
and want something that can still do
the dull stuff but be fun when the con-
ditions are right, then the Golf R fits
the bill perfectly. It is fast and fun and
capable.

X-Trail delivers all-round quality
THE most important SUV
in the Nissan range is the
Qashqai, but its bigger broth-
er the X-Trail has arrived
in an all-new form to serve
those looking for something
more sizeable.
From the completely rede-
signed exterior to the newen-
gines and chassis, this latest
X-Trail aims to offer a more
refined drive and better on-
road performance than the
more utilitarian approach
of the old car. In fact the
new X-Trail owes a lot to the
Qashqai as it uses the same
platform and mechanicals.
The key difference however
is size, with a longer wheel-
base and greater length creat-
ing more space and room for
seven seats. The old X-Trail
was an undeniably boxy af-
fair but the new one is slick,
modern and attractive.
Up front theres generous
head and legroom and in the
second row the space is im-
pressive legroom is particu-
larly good and the seats can
slide forwards or backwards
to suit your needs. The third
row folds into place easily
and while you wouldnt want
to shove an adult in there for
long its ideal for children.
Another important feature
on the X-Trail is a new 1.6-li-
tre diesel engine that is likely
to be the most popular engine
choice. Despite its relatively
small capacity it offers the
same torque as the outgoing
2.0-litre diesel unit but with
far superior emissions and
economy figures. It doesnt
feel underpowered either.
The X-Trails transforma-
tion is completed by the ride
quality and all-round refine-
ment. Where the old car al-
ways reminded you of its
off-road capability, the newX-
Trail is composed over poor
surfaces and is easy to drive
with accurate steering and
slick controls.
