About Me
My name is Lex Horton and I am 19 years of age. I have recently moved from NSW and I live with my
older brother, in Perth’s northern suburbs. I plan to be living in Perth long term.

I am seeking employment within the areas closest to my residence, preferably the Northern Suburbs;
however I am prepared to travel if work requires me too. I have a Western Australia Provisional Motor
Vehicles Licence & a vehicle I can utilise for work purposes where necessary. I also live near the Public
Transport System and have become familiar with the network.

At this stage either a casual, part time or full time position would be considered, as I am very keen to start
working and if the opportunity arises, begin a prosperous career. I am motivated, a quick learner and

Employment History
a) I have previously worked at McDonalds Restaurants in NSW on a casual fulltime basis. I started in
2004 whilst at school and resigned in October 2009. Above regular appointed duties I was trained in store
opening shifts and close of store shifts & was a part of the staff ‘Crew Training’ team for about 2 years.

b) I was employed by Stowe Electricians, as an apprentice for 6 months; however that position was
terminated as I was moving to WA. I was exposed to the electrical systems being installed, played an
active part in designing/planning and installation of various products & regularly performed designated
duties unsupervised. Some TAFE studies were undertaken however not completed. I learnt about Safe
Working/OHS guidelines related to electrical services provided.

c) I was employed by Horton Constructions, owned and operated by my family, as a general

hand/labourer. I worked on a casual basis since high school through until October 2009. During that time I
developed useful skills and knowledge of building sites and how they operate. I regularly assist in quoting
of jobs & ordering/supply of materials/equipment.

Educational History
I completed year 10 of high school in NSW, at Westport High School, in 2006. I obtained my Year 10
certificate with above average grades. I completed year 12 in 2008 & achieved my Higher School
Certificate with average grades.
