ULTRASEAL INTERNATIONAL EXPANDS IN EUROPE

Parent company Norman Hay plc acquires German company Sterr &
Eder


Ultraseal International, the global leader in solutions to porosity in casting, is
expanding its operations in Europe with the acquisition of a leading company
which serves the automotive supply chain in Germany.

UK-based Norman Hay plc, Ultraseals parent company, has acquired Sterr &
Eder Industrieservice GmbH, of Velden, Germany, which carries out a range
of services for companies manufacturing cast metal parts.

Founded in 1987 by Josef Eder and Alois Sterr, Sterr & Eder is one of the
most respected subcontract processing shops in Germany which employs
more than 30 people at its two plants in Velden and Nemarkt/St. Viet.

The move is a significant one for Ultraseal International, which has a proud
history of over 45 years of pioneering sealant impregnation as a permanent
and reliable solution to the problem of porosity in casting. Ultraseal produces
the global benchmark recyclable sealant Rexeal 100.

Sealant impregnation of parts for the automotive industry is just one of the
many key processes offered by Sterr & Eders business. The company
specialises in sub contract services and including fettling, shot blasting,
tightness testing, X-ray analysis, crack detection and washing. .

Both Herr Sterr and Herr Eder will continue as joint Managing Directors of the
company, reporting to Gary Lloyd, Managing Director of Ultraseal
International based in Coventry, UK.

Vic Bellanti, Chief Executive of Norman Hay plc, said: This is an exciting
