Process:
I found all three photos online and downloaded them into the same photoshop fle.
I then positioned the photos in a way that i saw appealing. I then used the masking layer tool and
faded out portions of each photo to where they all meshed together and then picked certain
photos stand out more to so hierarchy. I then found quote by Michael Jordan and inserted it in
the bottom lef-hand corner to fll the space. I then found a ftting font, then chose the color of
the typography to be white to contrast with the rest of the composition.
BROCHURE

Objectives:
Set up and align a two-sided, folded document.
Create an original company logo and use it in a brochure.
Incorporate quality images.
Write at least 250 words of original copy with at least three paragraphs, headers, and subheaders.
Trim for a full bleed and print in duplex (two-sided) color.
Process:
To accomplish this project i frst used Illustrator using vector graphic shapes to create my logo. I
already had the colors i wanted so that wasnt an issue. I also did a mock-up by folding and mea-
suring paper so that i new where the fold were going to need to go.
I then organized the layout to the way i saw would be the best.
I gained all of the text from my own thought and created a word document to make sure i had
enough text.
Finally i gathered some images from the internet and edited some in Photoshop that needed it
and composed my brochure to my liking.

Learn basic photography skills.
Choose a color scheme, take a photo to match those colors,
then incorporate the colors into the layout.
Use a digital camera to take a quality image, then download it.
Adjust image levels, saturation, color balance, sharpen tool on separate layers
Size and crop the image, then place on an 8.511 page layout.
Use layers to design text, and repeating graphic elements in Photoshop.
Process:
Using the camera I had, I arrange the ball and hat to were i could get a shot with the ball being
the focused object and the hat to be blurred. I pulled it into Photoshop to adjust the levels and to
some minor touch-ups and place the quote by Babe Ruth, and added the color scheme circles.

I frst created the basketball in Illustrator. Ten got a font online and downloaded it and used it
for my logo. I then place it on the stationary and added the line across the page and added my
contact information. I used the ball also as the water mark for repetition. For the card i used the
same information on the stationary and increase the ball size for the card to add a little variety
and to take up more of the card.

Create three completely diferent, original logos to ft a company
or personal image that will appeal to the audience.
Use only the Illustrator tools to create and draw your logos.
Gather opinions from at least ten people about which logo appeals most to them.
Process:
I frst created the idea of my own company that i wanted to design three logos for.
I thing chose fonts that i thought would ft with the nature of the company.
I really tried to focus on the X for the cross part of crossft and have that be the main
focus or part of the logos; except for the all text logo thatis. I then place the fonts with which
image it matched and played aroun with colors until i found what looked good and again ft the
nature of the company.

Write content to describe the process of creating your logo and how it appeals to a target audience.
Design a web page using HTML to display the logo and content.
Identify hex colors for web design & compress multiple fles in a zipped folder to attach as one fle.
Process:
In order to create this webpage i used Webwrangler and uploaded pre made HTML tagging and CSS
and added my own information including my logo, my process of creating the logo, and a diferent
background. I saved my background picture into the same folder as my webpage and linked my
HTML and CSS together to make it all connect.

Microsof Word and a scanner

Use text boxes for layout, edit images, and insert in Word.
Process:
I frst scanned the image of Dwayne Wade from a magazine and placed it into Word.
I then chose a correlating background color and added my white text. I created my logo for the
advertisement in Word as well. Finally i organized the layout as i saw ft and made sure to wrap
my text around my image.

Come and help Dwayne Wade support the Helping
Hands Foundation fundraiser to help raise money
to construct and put new basketball courts
around the city of Rexburg, Idaho.

Each team will play through a double elimination
tournament and the winning team will get
Helping Hands T-shirts, and will be able to
play against Dwayne Wade and his team.

Participants will register in three
person teams.

Apply the desing principles and use appropriate typography.
Incorporate basic InDesing skills to improve basic fier layout.
Create a project folder with image, logo, and InDesign document to keep links intact.
Process:
I used both Adobe Indesign and Adobe Illustrator to construct this fyer. I acquired the pictures
and text from the given links on the Ilearn website and started by pasting everything into my In-
design pasteboard to see what i had to work with. I used many tools including the pen tool, gra-
dient swatch tool, rectangle tool, rectangle frame tool, text tool, and the selection tool. I started
by placing the picture i had chosen and then placed and aligned the text up with the title. I then
created the gradient shapes and transferred them from Adobe Indesign and place everything as i
had planned and been critiqued too.
