Description: An inspiration montage made by blending two pictures
Process (Programs, Tools, Skills, Steps taken while designing):
I frst drew a sketch of what I wanted and thought of a message.
Selected pictures from the internet, I re sized the picture of the man jumping to
look more realistic as part of the background picture.
I used the lasso tool to move his framework to the background tap, I then used the
masking tool to blend the man`s framework with the back ground picture.
Using the text tool I wrote my message and and played with clone source under
the window tab to stretch and re size Risk

Programs/Tools Used: Adobe Photoshop

Message: To encourage students and other people who may be afraid to move forward
due to the unknown to give it a shot, because sometimes it is the only way to discover
the truth.

Audience:17 years to 55yrs

Brochure
Description: A two sided brochure with an inside pocket.
Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): I frst got a piece of paper that I folded and cut it
the way I wanted my brochure to look( this was very critical and helped me keep on
track) I designed my logo in In- design and I played with circles and the pathfnder
tool to form horn like shapes which I used to create letter A and S for my logo name.
I Clipped pictures in photoshop and placed them into In-design and text wrapped
them. I carefully placed my logo, pictures and texts to form my brochure layout.

Message: Inviting all those who love African print fabrics to come check out
our designs.

Audience:18-40 years

on Namirembe Hill, just below
St. Pauls Cathedral,
overlooking Kampala, the capital
city of Uganda was established
in 1929 to give parental love and
care to abandoned children.
PURPOSE
We are working with over 10 distrib-
utors from diferent nations in Africa,
these include but not limited to Uganda
(head quarters), Kenya, Tanzania,
Nigeria, Ghana and Zimbabwe.
Our greatest joy and pride has been
watching women especially from the
various villages bring in income into
their homes to support their
families with basic needs and many have
been able to send back their children to
school from their business saving.

Our Story
How it all came to be...
It started as a dream, which blossomed into a passion.
I had no other choice but to make it reality.
I took a sewing class and learned how to make diferent
outfts but I was mostly
interested in using African
fabrics because I was attracted
to the beautiful colors and I
loved the unique designs.
I teamed up with two other
tailors and two creative
designers, today we make,
sale and collect fabrics across
Africa which are used to make
diferent outfts.
VISION
Looking forward to expand the
business and work with major
labels like Chanel, Banana
Republic, H&M, Forever 21
and others through quality fabric
distribution channels to make
and design their products
with African prints.
Photo design
Description: Good photography and editing skills while using color schemes.
Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): I decided to use a monochromatic scheme
using gold. I placed a black cloth behind the items to create contrast. Afer
taking the picture, I used the variance, select color and brightening tools to
edit the picture in photoshop. Using the text tool helped me place the
message properly.
Message: Tere is more to life than material objects.
Audience: Ladies (17- 40 years)
Top Ting Learned: Importance of contrast and lighting in photography.

Event Ad
Description: Grif drive donation event ad for less privileged babies.
Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): I used Microsof word to create this event ad. I
scanned the beautiful picture from people magazine. Transparency tool was used to
create transparency on the text boxes for body copy and I played with the pattern tool
to select a suitable design for the edge.
Message: Mainly for young mothers and all people who would love to make a
diference especially to little hearts.

Audience: Females ages 18- 43

Color scheme and color names: Tetradic- Green, blue, brown and red
Top Ting Learned: I didnt know one would use Word for design, learning the
transparency tool was interesting.

Description: Tree logo variations for the same company.
Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): In Adobe illustrator I used the eclipse to make
diferent circles and ovals, then used the pathfnder- divider tool to get the shapes for
the letter D and R, I used the line tool to make strokes to complete the letters. I played
around with the shapes placing them in diferent positions to see what looked good
and I fnally decided on these three logos.
Message: Drew Ritz collection has trendy fashions that are beautiful, creative
and unique.
Audience: 18- 45 year olds, who love creative and unique works.
Top Ting Learned: Using the pathfnder was fun and interesting.

Description: Web page displaying a company logo.

Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): I frst up loaded my logo and gave it a translucent
background in photoshop (saved it as a png) and then I opened up the html and css
fle in text wrangler( all documents were saved in one folder. I linked the html to css
and then played around with code by creating paragraphs and headers where I wrote
my thoughts and revised them as I viewed my refreshed website. I also reduced the
size of my logo in photoshop and then made it as a water mark background afer
linking it to css

Message: Drew Ritz collection has trendy fashions

Audience: 18- 45 year olds

Changes made to the CSS: I changed the font to optima (modern) I added tabs
(home,works,w contact, etc) I changed the background and font colors. I made my
blog to be directly linked to my website.
Stationery
Description: Matching letterhead and business card designed using a personally
created logo.
Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): I frst drew the ladies` face using the pen tool,
brush tool for the her hair, and the pencil tool for her face, her hair was made round
to create the O . I created the background in photoshop where I got the cloud efect
and then pasted it in illustrator, I put the teal box on top and reduced the opacity to
have a teal cloudy efect. I then carefully placed and grouped my work.
Message: Once you come to this parlour you leave excited with your new look and all
that see you are like oh lala because your already exciting beauty has been enhanced.
Audience: All ladies that want a makeover mostly between the ages 19-45
Top things learned: Developing a brand for a company using a unifed letterhead
and business card design.
Color scheme: Tetradic and color names: Teal, Lime Violet and brick

Description: Black and white fier promoting a Graduate leadership conference.
Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): Afer drawing sketches, I used them as a guide to
make a layout in Adobe Indesign. I mostly used the rectangular tool to draw all my
boxes in which I placed texts and the picture. To create contrast, I used the gradient
tool and then played with it to create the fow of the contrast. I made Graduate as
the biggest word so as to emphasize that it was mainly for graduates, and the white
space in the middle helped to create contrast and focus to the picture. Te logo,
content and picture were given to me as part of the project.
Message: Reaching out to recent graduates who want to have a competitive edge and
gain leadership skills to use in business.
Audience: Recent graduates between ages 21-32.
