Jaipuria is committed to produce Industry Ready Professionals and this philosophy guides us
in designing the various pedagogical tools. The Summer Training is an integral part of our
various PGD programmes and aims at achieving the follo!ing o"#ectives$
a. %pplication of &no!ledge and techni'ues learnt in the first year to real "usiness
pro"lems and to test out and enrich one(s understanding) &no!ledge and s&ills.
". Providing an insight into the !or&ing of the real organi*ations.
c. Gaining deeper understanding in specific functional areas.
d. %ppreciating the lin&ages among different functions and developing a realistic
managerial perspective a"out organi*ations in their totality.
e. To develop interpersonal relationship !ith &ey management personnel in the
+rgani*ation.
f. ,elps in e-ploring career opportunities in their areas of interest.
The Summer Internship Pro#ect .SIP/ is a 0 credit course .e'uivalent to t!o courses of 1 credits
each/ and the SIP is evaluated "ased on successful completion of the students( internship and
su"mission of the re'uired documents.
"roun# rules for summer internship
Summer internship !ill "e for a period of si- to eight !ee& as per re'uirement and need
of the organisation. Students are e-pected to develop sound understanding of the
company profile as !ell as the pro#ect allotted to them "y the company. They are re'uired
to stic& to action plan in close supervision of the faculty mentor and industry mentors.
2o student !ill "e allo!ed to leave the company in midst of summer internship and
s!itch to other company. This !ould lead to serious disciplinary action including
cancellation of summer internship and a!ard of 3 grade in SIP.

During the period of internship an intern !ould not "e allo!ed more than 1 days leave on
valid reasons. 4eave in any case of need to "e first sought from the company mentor and
after!ards from faculty mentor) failing !hich the student !ould "e considered out of
summer internship and a!ard of 3 grade in SIP. Student !ill o"tain and su"mit an
attendance certificate from the company after completion of summer internship on
anne-ure 5.
Payment of stipend and reim"ursement of e-penses is solely at discretion of the company.
The students are re'uired to "e punctual and a"ide "y the code of conduct of their
respective intern organisation including dress code if any.
%ny student found in situation of mis"ehaviour) indulgence in !rong act) disclosure or
misuse of data) documents) resources .letter head) telephone and stationeries/ and sharing
of finances and confidential information of intern company to any outside sources shall
"e declared out of summer internship and appropriate action as deemed fit !ill "e ta&en
against the student concerned. Student !ill o"tain and su"mit a no dues certificate from
the company after completion of summer internship as per anne-ure 3.

summer internship "efore a panel of four mem"ers .including one e-pert from out7
side/. The panel !ill evaluate the performance of candidate as per %nne-ure 0
.having 88 items/ on a scale of 879.
