The soul dominates over the mind and the mind dominates over the body. The spirit dominates over
the soul. This is how it should be.
Journey from Body-Mind to Soul-Spirit Part 1
It is the month of July, 2014 and it is almost a year since my father expired due to blood cancer. His
memory used to haunt me through dreams. But slowly with time, I have got used to not having him
physically by my side.
The urge to know Who Am I? as propounded by Shri Ramana Maharshi, set me forth on my inner
journey. This journey can be compared to the peeling of the onion, one layer at a time. Proper
reasoning suggests that the real I should be constant irrespective of space, time and eternal. We
are eternal can be inferred from the below reasoning.
Suppose the Creator (hereafter called Holy Big Fish) created a fish named Sacred ZoYo using
Supreme Intelligence Holy FishIntel. If Sacred ZoYo develops Ego as a means to survive in 3D
world, then it is his duty to remove any ignorance introduced due to the development of Ego. On
the other hand, if Sacred ZoYo can attain union with Holy Big Fish using the Supreme Intelligence
FishIntel, then he no longer perceives himself as a separate entity. The Father (Holy Big Fish) and
the Son (Sacred ZoYo) become one. He realises his Immortality.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall
not perish, but have eternal life. John3:16
The easiest layer to peel off for me was the belief that I am this body and mind [Annamaya Kosha].
Simple meditation helped me realize this truth.
Next, I had to remove/ question all my mental conditionings or samsaras.

I meet Ascended Masters in my journey, who guided me and also tested me. A learner or seeker like
me was blessed by the experience of meeting Gautama Buddha, Ramana Maharshi, Swami
Vivekananda and AnandaMoyee Maa. They are a source of my inspiration. They provide comfort and
deep strength. My deep gratitude to them.
The Lord is hidden behind closed doors which are yet to be opened. I wait for those doors to open
and reveal the Lord to me. Amen.

It all seems like a dream to me now, but almost all that I document here had its seeds in my previous
mania episodes and past life. Mania is supposedly a high energy state.

I have been practising awareness and mindfulness meditation for little over a year. It made me
realize that:
1. We are not this mind or body.
2. All the thoughts which are generated are not my own thoughts. Most of them are useless
thoughts.
3. Our body acts as a sensor, sensing a substance or event as good or bad. For instance, two
weeks before I experienced enlightenment, I felt a dislike for omelette, aloo parotha etc.
Prakriti is composed of three gunas sattva, rajas and tamas. In order to realize the Ultimate Truth, I
felt the need to go beyond the three gunas. Another thing which made me take the plunge was to
understand the purpose of Life? Are we meant to just sleep, eat, work and procreate? If we sit back
and observe the three gunas which are the attributes of prakriti, we may feel that we are that but
we are not the gunas. If we take one lifetime to understand one combination of gunas, then we will
take an eternity to understand all the gunas. Modern science is trying to analyze all the gunas. This
may be a cause of concern. Our sole purpose in life should be God contact or God realization.
With every small step, I moved closer and closer to my Goal i.e. to realize the Self. In fact the Self
was always with me; but I had covered and hidden it up behind different masks. The process of
cleansing began, with a burst of pimples appearing on my face. Louise L. Hay described it as
emotional outburst. This was followed with the opening of the Ajna chakra and the Sahasra chakra. I
would feel cool or pleasant warmth or all over my head. At times I would feel pin pricks on top of
my head.
I have always loved Ramana Maharshis simplicity. His Grace gave me a visit one day as I was
meditating with closed eyes. I saw him as a Blazing light using my Ajna chakra. He then says
something which my brain interprets as proceed. I would get only one thought at a time if any. It is
sort of like someone has closed a running tap and now the ripples created in the bucket of mind
stuff was very still.
