Emergency Procedures: It is important that you remain calm and use good judgment in the event of an emergency. It can be beneficial to prepare and understand the necessary actions for different emergency situations or natural disasters before they happen. The following sections will help outline the proper procedures to correctly handle an emergency and natural disaster situation. Accounting for JR Automation Team Members: In any and all emergencies or disasters requiring evacuation, JR Automation team members are to report to the Evacuation Meeting Location Leaders. These leaders are to have a hard copy of the JR Automation team member Roster to which they will check off after visually verifying a person is physically at that Evacuation Meeting Location. The Evacuation Meeting Location Leader will then contact the Site Emergency Coordinator at the headquarters (designated on the Emergency Evacuation Maps) to give the all clear and tell if anyone is missing. The Site Emergency Coordinator will then tell the fire department or other emergency response entities if the building is clear or if anyone is missing. During this process, it is very important that everyone remains calm and does not crowd the Evacuation Meeting Location Leaders. If medical assistance is required contact the Evacuation Meeting Location Leader and they will contact the correct people to help treat the injured person(s). Evacuation Meeting Locations and their Leaders are specified on pages 7-9 of this document.

Accidents and Injuries: 1. Try to determine the nature and extent of any injuries, but DO NOT MOVE THE INJURED PERSON(S). 2. Look around the scene and be careful not to expose yourself to any dangerous conditions. 3. Contact 911, listen to all of the instructions and questions they communicate with you. 4. Contact the JR Automation Emergency Response Team (ERT); find another JR Automation team member to contact the JR Automation ERT. 5. If possible, remain with the injured person until help arrives. 6. Turn over the injured person to the official medical help, either the 911 Medical Responders or the JR Automation Emergency Response Team. 7. Severe Weather Alerts: The National Weather Service and the National Oceanic Atmospheric and Administration (NOAA) issues weather watches and warnings. Warnings mean that the severe weather has been sighted or indicated by weather radar. Severe Weather is monitored by the Business Unit Managers and they will announce the status of the weather and give instructions over the P.A. System if shelter needs to be sought.
Tornado Safety Procedures: (does this apply to guests and customers?) How do we write in what customers and guests are supposed to do?
JR Automation Technologies, LLC recognizes the need for precautionary measures in the event of a Tornado Warning. This procedure applies to all JR Automation team members. Tornado Warning means that a tornado has actually been sighted. When these types of weather conditions exist an announcement will be made on the P.A. system. Team members are to decide individually whether they elect to remain on the company premises or leave the building upon being advised by an announcement over the P.A. system that a Tornado Warning condition exists in the area of the company or in the area of a team members residence. Team members do not need to take the time to punch their timecards; however they must advise their supervisor upon leaving, and payroll will be informed by supervisors as to the proper time-out and pay. Team members leaving the building are excused for the remainder of the shift. JR Automation Technologies, LLC recommends that team members do not leave the facility, but team members who choose to leave the facility are requested to do so as expeditiously as possible in an orderly manner. These team members can expect that it will take more time to be clear of the facility and the parking area because of the traffic and storm conditions. Team members, customers, and guest(s) who choose to remain in the plant are required to use designated Tornado Shelter Gathering Areas as listed below and marked on the Emergency Action Plan Maps that are posted throughout all facilities: Tyler Street Plant 1: Cafeteria, Sales Conference Room, Hallway Tyler Street Plant 2: Front Office Storage Closet, Front Office Area Mens and Womens Restrooms, Plant 2 Mens Restroom Tyler Street Plant 3: Design area Mens and Womens Restrooms Quality Drive: Office Mens and Womens Restrooms, Cafeteria Mens Restrooms, Lake Erie Conference Room New Holland: Shop Floor Mens Restroom, Office Mens and Womens Restrooms, Office IT Storage Room (left of the copy room), Janitors Closet (accessible from the shop floor only) 13
Fire: 1. If you spot a fire, call 911 immediately and report the size and location of the fire. 2. Locate the nearest fire extinguisher and try to extinguish or contain the fire from a safe distance. If your efforts are not immediately successful or cannot be safely continued leave the area and join the other team members in exiting the plant. 3. Have a JR Automation team member contact the Emergency Response Team to allow 4. The P.A. system should be used to advise everyone that a fire has been reported in the plant. The location of the fire should be given. Everyone should be requested to evacuate the building and assemble outside in the designate . Everyone should remain on premises until the situation is under control, or until you get other directions from your supervisor.
Power Failure
In case of all over power failure or power failure in a specific area, all team members should stay in their immediate work area and shut down main power to all equipment that connected to electricity. If power failure occurs in one specific area, contact maintenance or the Emergency Response Team to assist with shut down of breakers and any other issues that occur. As power failures differ, remain in your area until further instructions are communicated to you by either your supervisor or other staff aiding in the resolution of the situation. Upon restoration of power, stand away from electrical sources as arch flash and electrical shock hazards exist when power is restored.
Other Dangerous Situations
Any other dangerous problems (such as but not limited to compressed air, gas leaks, etc.) should be reported immediately to your supervisor. The supervisor will be responsible for taking prompt corrective action. If evacuation is necessary, contact the Emergency Response Team to make the announcement of the PA System. Critical Plant Operations JR Automation Technologies, LLC, does not have any critical operations that need to be operated during an emergency situation. Team members are expected to exit their work area and go to the appropriate meeting location depending on the emergency situation.
