o Glossopharyngeal
 What nerve supplies the epiglottis and epiglottal region of the tongue?
o CN X, Superior laryngeal nerve

Muscles of
Complete the following:
Ameloblasts Enamel
Dentinoblasts  Dentin
Cementoblasts Cementum
Which nerves supply the Maxillary  V2, superior alveolar nerve
teeth? Mandibular  V3, inferior alveolar nerve
How do you block…
Superior alveolar Infraorbital, but could affect orbicularis oculi
Pterygomaxillary fissure, but could enter pterygoid plexus and cause
widespread hematoma
Nasopalatine block for primary palate, but can pierce blood vessels and very
painful
How do you block… Mouth of mandibular canal, injections site at thumbs width behind 3 rd molar.
Inferior alveolar Hazards include damage to the inferior alveolar artery, facial nerve and loss
of orbicularis oris
How do you block… Anesthetized with inferior alveolar nerve
Lingual nerve?
How do you block… Mental foramen (must check?). Hazard is hurting the mental artery.
Mental Nerve?
What is the blood supply Maxillary – Anterior, middle, and posterior alveolar. Anterior and middle are
to the teeth? from infraorbital artery (branch of maxillary) and posterior is from maxillary
artery.
Mandibular is from inferior alveolar artery as a branch from the maxillary
